So happy to see this video. I was just watering my plants which, like you, is my Sunday morning routine. And now I'm watching your lovely video that was just posted. Perfect for a Sunday morning. Thank you. Have a great week.

.. I got mine about a month ago from a local coop grosery.. It was labeled philodendron "green wonder".. I've found it on a web site from a gardener too, in the other end of my country, and they too has it called "green wonder".. Today though, I've spent most of the day trying to find anything about this plant.. And your video is not just the best but also more or less the only one to actually tell what it is that I've got 🤗 so thank you so very much for the info 🌿 🌱🌴

When you purchased it, was it classified by its old name, or it's new name?

@SummerRayneOakes Hi I really love all your video, Summer. You inspire me so much that I’m gonna try planting for the first time in my life. :) I’ve also ordered your book from Amazon and I’m excited to read it. I love terrariums and saw your videos on them. It would be great to see you do more tutorials and tips on caring for them . :) congratulations on your success. More power to you:)

I purchased one of these this weekend, not really knowing how rare it is but from reading around Im gathering that it can be rather challenging to grow - so I’m a little worried lol, I think I can replicate most of these conditions except…. I don’t really know the type of soil it should be in.

I do have a real philodendron with this leaf structure. The leaf texture is different but it grows a a true creeper.

iv had 2 of these and live in australia and any bit of cold wheather and they both fell apart starts with the leaves going yellow then they eventually fall off and im left with the little nub then they try to grow new shoots but dont get much further than that and die.

Love them, but unfortunately my experience with Thaumatophyllum (spruceanum and xanadu) is that they are heavily pest prone.

This type of plant, especially when immature, will contain it's nodes just below the soil level. Gently remove the soil from the area where the petiole disappears into the surface until a node is visible then cleanly cut stem with node from the base of the plant. It's obviously easier with a more mature specimen. Hth.

Eh, the leaves are more like amorphophallus leaves, it looks like seperate leaves, but it's in fact just a singular, strange leaf.
