Kintaro's observation of visitors inside the gorilla house on a quiet morning.
Work on the ground and breakfast. First up is father Momotaro, who eats carrots first.
After settling down to eat, he seemed to want to return indoors as soon as possible due to the cold with occasional flakes of snow.
Kintaro plays a trick on his mother, Genki. Gentaro played a trick on his father Momotaro.
Gentaro is finally scolded and chased by his father Momotaro. Immediately after that, the door to go back indoors opens.
As usual, Gentaro does not return immediately.
Lunch, only dad Momotaro went out to the ground to gather food and eat it indoors.
Kintaro returns indoors to enjoy playing by himself.
Then he plays with Gentaro.

Momotaro (father) was born on Jul 3, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.

Gentaro is such a good brother to Kintaro! If he's able to have his own family, without one like Momotaro chasing him away all the time, I think he'll be very nice to his family like Shabani is!

Momo is slower because he's quite a bit heavier and bulkier than Gentaro, but as Gentaro goes further into adulthood he will also bulk up and put on weight.

23:25 interesting. When Momo started making "mating" motions towards Kintaro, it appears that Kintaro responded the way a female gorilla would normally respond. I won't offer any theories about what the significance of this behavior might be, although I do have some theories, but thought I would mention it at least.

Except that what Kintaro did was much more than a mere act of submission. What he did looked exactly like what I've seen female gorillas do when mating.
Kintaro instigated that very limited response from Momotaro. There was no mating motion by Momo.

They are showing dominance over Kintaro. I have seen many videos where male Gorillas/Monkeys do this to one another. However not sur of why Genki would do it as a female.

It stems from anxiety. Genki and Kintaro do the same thing when they're uncomfortable.

Momentaro has been acting horrible lately,he always has picked on Gentaro, but it's gotten worse,he hardly lets him in building,he is always mad and chasing him,this is taking a toll on Gentaro,he looks so sad,this is torturing Gentaro, he needs his own family, not to be by himself,he already acts lonely, because the parents don't want him around, which makes Kentaro lonely, because every time, Kentaro and Gentaro play,dad buts in with his big butt, and chases Gentaro away, and stops the boys from playing,this is sad, Momentaro, only reason he dislikes Gentaro is Gentaro is getting big, and has that musky smell, and Momentaro is jealous and wants to stay the king, and thinks Gentaro will try to take over, that is why in the wild,at Gentaros age they start their own family., the whole family is miserable, because Momentaro keeps the family on edge, their fighting makes Genki nervous and Kintaro unhappy and of course Gentaro is so sad,it's not fair to Gentaro to keep him where he is so unloved and he knows it,of course he has brothers love 💕, but that doesn't make up for the misery he is enduring.Momentaro, doesn't look at him as a son, but a competition for leadership, Momentaro and Genki didn't raise him from a new born, and don't look at him as their son,hevis just a nuisance to them.Kintaro is the only one in the family who cares about him,he needs out of there now,not later, thank goodness that Momentaro is so big he can't run as fast as Gentaro,I hate to see Gentaro hurt.

Maybe Kintro responded because of what genki did to him as a young child and theirs videos and this isn’t normal. Kintro has been mounted by mom,dad and brother, sooo does Kintro even know what he’s suppose to do?? And why isn’t mono doing this to genki instead of kintro?? It’s worrisome 😢😢
