let me help u guys i own the car now he made this vid during or late in winter at the time was running around 400whp and could be more from the cold weather getting into the intercooler...had low pro tires and easily breaks loose in lower gears under boost...that is kph...cobalt guages by autometer greddy boost controller. the to4z is an explosive turbo and hits boost at higher rpm didnt like it switched to borg s300...power to weight ratio is great for these cars and unless u drive a higher powered turbo car u should not comment on how to drive under poor traction conditions thanks :)i rebuilt and car easily made 570whp at 20psi on a 2950lb car so the real turbo car boys know how it go ;)

We now know you've never driven anything with that much power! This setup has got to be putting 500hp to the wheel or close to it. You think it's easy driving a car with as much power as a RB26? From what I've seen, he doesn't even have traction control so hats off to him for not losing control!
@mydogzty if your tryn to swap one dont go with the rb20 same displacment as an sr20 and no hp the rb25 is the most reliable and most readily available look online there every were now the rb26 is pretty expensive but nice and people love it and you can get made power out of it if your tryn to go BIGG then you go rb30 or 2jz or 1jz those motors will give you 500+ hp on stock internals and the sound krazy hope i helped
The turbo is actually spooling between 3-3.5k it's just the way he's driving it that makes it seem like it is spooling later. My rb25 skyline is the same and then I get full boost 4-4.5k and mines only got lights mods atm.
Looks like somebody got some 305/ r18 on order or some drag radials! I was always scared of going RB because of parts availability but I wish I manned up and did it. It's awesome.
@@PuslimHunterThere is actually excellent parts availability nowadays , you can even go to Nissan and if you have the part number they can order from Japan. Not cheap if that's what your saying. Enjuku type companies stock the stock belts and seals and stuff. Back then wasn't as easy as now plus r34 ready for USA import so lots of smart companies should be stocking parts

ok so i put drag radials on a few weeks ago for the track and there is no wheel spin as i said prior to this it was during cold season with 50psi street tires when the temp is cold the intercooler and intake act more efficiently and produce larger hp numbers increasing wheelspin on this pavement. I will ge a buddy to create a new video hopefully before season is out and u can properly understand the true power of this machine while there is no wheelspin. thanks.
I was wondering why you weren't really getting on it until I saw your profile that says you're in Canada. You need to get a good clip going full throttle when it gets warm and dry!
well he was just flooring it to show how easily it can lose traction but he can use throttle modulation to get good traction and acceleration while still staying on the boost. If youve only got a lead foot then yeah the power delivery is certainly useless in 1st and 2nd
@skiddin31 the rb20 is a joke sr swaps are like 2k most the 2jz has forged internals thats why they handel so much hp but i was thinkn about it and i kinda want to do it but idk shit about the wiring
It depends what you are going to too Sr20det is much cheaper engine. Cheaper too tune, rebuild lot's of aftermarket parts and easy to work on. I think people are running somthing like 400whp on the stock bottom end so power is plentyful. Rb26det is a great engine but its a bit expensive to tune . there are lot of aftermarket part's for it with the rights setup you can get well over 1000hp out of it
@unboxingguru1 its called rear wheel drive, when the tires spin it kicks the rear end out sideways. hes not "swerving" he is compensating for loss of traction. a lot of people would see it as a sign of a bad ass driver. you are obviously not one of those people.
Stock LSD? You might want to look into some stickier and wider tires. With your current set up it looks like the only thing it will be good for is going around corners sideways, unless of course that's all you want.

I live in australia, and we have the RB30 engines in Holden VL Turbos. Search them up if you dont know what they are. They are dead-cheap, like under $3000 EASY. But they are like 1987....so kinda old and will need work done to the body perhaps, also maybe a rebuild on the RB30 engine aswell.....search them
Dillon, if money isnt an issue then the RB26 is okay but if your looking for an engine that has cheap and plenty of parts the SR20 is a perfect engine. Ive always owned rb engines and parts are pretty dear and rebuilds arent cheap either. SR for cheap reliable fun power, RB for big power where money isnt much of an issue.

If its a 200sx s14/s14a it comes original with sr20 but the 240sx s14 comes with ka24De witch is 2.4L non turbo
