king of ghazals ustad mehdi hassan sings syed aale raza's ghazal.
this private mehfil was held in vancouver canada in 1977 at the residence of former pakistani play back singer salim raza (jaane baharan fame).
salim raza migrated to canada in the 70's where he opened a music school in vancouver.
he was a very good friend of khan sahib mehdi hassan.

Wah! Kya baat hai...This is an absolute gem of a audio gift to Mehdi Saab's fans. To me HE is one of the greatest that God/Allah/Bhagwan/Eashwar/Uparwala has given to mankind. In the 20th century HE was the King; and will continue to be the King even in this century. By listening to his compositions and watching his video clips one can get to learn a lot. I am hearing this rare gem again after 35 years!! I first heard it in Hyderabad. What a very different raag. And lovely singing. Harmonium support is also v excellent.

Mein ney mehdi hassan sahab jesa singer naheen suna. Dunya key saarey singers aik taraf aur aik taraf mehdi hassan sahab to wazan phir bhi mehdi hassan ka bhaari hoga..
Mein ney aesa sur aesa andaaz aesa thehraao jo natural hai aesi aawaaz base naheen dekhi.
Aur expression to koi mehdi hassan sahab sey seekhey.
Talaffuz aur adayegi key shehnsha hen
Baritone voice dard bhari aawaaz hamen chhor key chali gai.. Lekin aaj bhi un ka naam hai..
Nusrat fateh ali khan, kaainaat ki sureeli aawaaz mehdi hassan sahab ki hai
Noor jahan, heerey moti daan karo to mehdi hassan paida hota hai kai sadyan lagti hen
