  • It's FINALLY here! This video shows how to trim front Aussie feet and legs. As always, I want to clarify that there is no right or wrong way to trim feet as long as the presentation is clean and does not hinder your dog's appearance. Learn my style of trimming and blend some techniques into your own style!

    Thank you so much! After a move and the inability to find anyone who can groom Aussies, this video saves my bacon! I've seen other vids but could never quite get it right. Plus, they make it more complicated than it could be and you make it uncomplicated and beautiful so again, thank you!

    Thank you for making these videos! One thing that I have my dogs do is lay flat on the table while getting the hair out of the pads. Easier on me - easier on them. Thanks again!

      That does make it easier! Especially when they get older and can’t stand that long 🥺

    You do such a great job. I am learning to get them some what ready for the handlers. Bathed and a little bit of trimming. Thank you again.

    Been overdosing on your videos recently trying to ger better, I need to get a new pair of thinning scissors and I know they should be 6-7 inches (not chunkers) but i have noticed some mention a certain amount of teeth...but what is good? I cant afford the great shears so am trying to find the best I can afford. I dont show, but I enjoy grooming . I have a black tri and have horrible tail trims cause his tail is black but it hard to blend into the light color of his britches....UGH!! But if you could help with the teeth number of shears and may a manufacturer of a decent scissor that maybe I can afford,..$50 ish? Would also like to start considering a curved scissor for the feet and ear tips (same size?)

      I really wish I had an exact suggestion for you but I’m not sure. I do know the more teeth the more natural the cut will look so try to get one with a higher number of teeth. The curved shear for ear and feet can be smaller tho! I’ve actually found the smaller the easier to work with when trimming those areas. 4-5 in will work for that. Here is a pair I’ve used and really like: www.amazon.com/Show-Gear-Curved-Grooming-Scissors/dp/B001LGEQ7K/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=show+gear+curved+scissors&qid=1592093335&sr=8-5

    Do the pads need completely trimmed even in winter? We are in Montana

    • @sandollaraussies
      @sandollaraussies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no experience with living in the snow but I would think you still trim them to prevent the snow from sticking to the hair and dry off the pads faster.

    • @sandollaraussies

      I have never had good luck with coat supplements. I’ve found genetics and proper diet are the biggest factors

      Kibble I use Purina proplan or Nutrisource and try to add some kind of topper like a broth to it
