Larrivee guitars offer some of the best USA made instruments.

Nice playing.
I've got a Larivee OM3Z, great guitars, better than the equivalent Martin in my opinion.
I have three 00’s, two OM’s and a LS short scale 12 fret with scalloped bracing (“Forum” custom with a red Sitka spruce top and Silver Oak). The LS and my OM-44m are the ones I play the most. For all around comfort, tone, and versatility I’d say those two bodies will satisfy most people’s needs.
One day I’ll sell my 00’s and OM-60 to fund a custom LS-44m 14 fret short scale (I love the LS shape).
I’ve tried and listened to many other brands, but nothing quite does it for me like a Larrivee. I sure wish they had more short scale offerings though.
They have the 24 series coming out which is 24.75" scale and an Adirondack top. You can also always custom order. I've a few short scale Larrivee's listed on my site tuneupguitars.com

Thanks, I was pumped about their new series until I saw they’re adi tops only. My ears are devoted to Sitka and mahogany. I’ve been tempted by your short scale all hog 00 but I prefer the fuller tone of a larger body. What are the lead times for a custom order? I’ll start selling the few I rarely play and contact you when I’m ready.
@@fredflinstone3173generally about 6 months. That can change though, sometimes quicker sometimes longer.
What's red Sitka spruce and what woods is your LS? Have only tried the L, not an LS...

I hadn’t heard of red Sitka before, nor since. I bought the LS used and had to research it. It’s number 2 of only 10 made for a Larrivee forum group. The red Sitka was a small batch Larrivee had in reserve. Its color, tone, and response is much like cedar but with the headroom of Sitka. It’s amazing! The back & sides is Silver Oak (also called lacewood) and has the tonal qualities of mahogany. The LS shape is exactly like the L, just smaller with a similar volume to an OM. I honestly don’t know how the previous owner let it go. It’s incredible for fingerstyle but also takes a pick as well as an OM. Unfortunately Larrivee doesn’t make many LS guitars and they’re almost always the high end series with rosewood.
I've mostly got Larrivee Sitka & hog OMs, parabolic bracing. How do these compare e.g. to 12 fret OO & OOO designs?
The OM is really powerful. Lots of top end when driving the guitar hard. The 12 fret designs with the scalloped X-brace respond better to a lighter touch. But the difference isn't huge. I think this OM with Jean's bracing respond perfectly to the light fingerstyle.
@@tuneupguitars thanks! The only 12 fret I've got to compare Vs my OM is my P-03... The bass resonance of that guitar just goes on and on and on but I suspect in a bigger body like an OO/OOO it I have less of the treble shine of the OM. Can't wait to try one. But I think the OM03 in Sitka/hog with parabolic bracing is one of the best deals going
Another Franco Morone fan I see....
