I have done 9 years in AZ prison all of it on level 3 and 4 yards. I was heavily involved in politics for most of it but inherited a store towards the end and stepped back from doing work. I have completely turned my life around now but the action in Arizona is pretty steady. Keep up the good work brother. Love your content
I loved him voicing his appreciation for you and the platform you gave him to share his story. They all have so much respect for you and how kindly you handle their stories. Another job well done, Ian. Merry Christmas!! 🎄
Brother I absolutely loved your story, especially the part about your turning point and sobriety. I thank you for sharing I've been to prison and it set me straight but I don't have no one to talk to about prison so you sharing your story is like therapy to me. Thank you!!!!!!!!

Another banger bro , thanks for the content. I watch your stuff because deep down I'm trying to get insite on my brother who is doing life on installments. 41 years old and has been down over 20 years on and off battling addiction and some of these guys you bring on give me hope that he will change one day
I'd love to be able to tell my story on here I'm an ex iv drug user started doing meth in 95 and began cooking around 2000, finally went to prison for manufacturing in Alabama DOC, I got out and kept getting high, I got clean in 2016 been clean ever since, I been through some insane crap
I always love listening to stories like yours, I’m sure it’s gonna be a little more work to reach Ian just because of his massive following but there is a lot of TH-camrs out there who invite guys to speak on their podcasts and I could listen to stories like that for days. You can always just get the camera on yourself and just let your story out and see if that catches viewers. I’d Forsure listen
I can relate to a lot this guy says, especially when he reflects on, how addiction controlled so much of his life, an feeling like your way behind in life.
Ian, I live here in Hanford, California. I work with an ex CO from Corcoran State Prison. He's got good stories to tell he worked there for 15 years and resigned. I was telling him about you and your channel . I th8nk he would be a good person to interview.
O-H, I-O! Great episode and so many good points. I was a horrible juvenille and went to foster care which is what saved me. Im so glad he got clean and so much respect. I lost my fiancee to overdose in 2017.
I used to work next to that prison in buckeye, when he says it’s in the middle of the desert, he is not kidding. I remember driving by that prison during the summer thinking how miserable it must be to be in there.
Ian is such a great interviewer; i find myself tempted to stop listening sometimes when I feel the guest falls off or whatever, & before I can turn it off, Ian has reigned the guest back in asking a question that piques my interest & gets them back on track. That's a natural talent I really appreciate from this podcast.

My name is right in my TH-cam channel if you want to research it, but if you ever need someone to come on your shell, I have some stories that keep people entertained, and I have people to back them up.
That’s literally Arizona, come on vacation and leave on probation. I believe Arizona is where he got caught up. Been caught up myself and locked up to many times in Arizona… blessed my life’s turned around since than, and recovery is my new life 😊
Damn my dad lived in Aurora while I was growing up. We used to go to Sea World and Geauga Lake every summer, and my grandparents lived behind Sea World so we watched the fireworks from their patio. None of that is there anymore though. Small world.
The food in the Arizona DOC Isn’t bad at all. The food in Maricopa county I never ate it. The only time I ate it is when we had beans and rice and I would use the beans and rice to make a spread. I wasn’t in county that long because I was out in bond till sentencing and when I got sentenced I was only in county for about 10 days before I went to DOC
From 95 to 2000 I did 5.2 yrs in Az DOC,started in Tucson on a 4 yard, and was one of the first to hit the 3 yard in Buckeye when it was brand new. Made it to the 2 yard about 6 months before release. The dorm style was a big change, but we made due.
I was at Bachman in 2011. That whole complex was crazy at the time. There were some heavy hitters in Morey, Rast, and Stiner at the time. We got a probate at Bachman, so it was pretty strict. A lot of the guys came from stiner, lot of dope. The food wasnt that bad. It is rough if you dont get any love from the streets, tv, store, etc.
This man’s first 5 minutes of his family story mirrors my own. Especially the trembling in his voice speaking of his poor mother killing herself to support him and his brother. Fortunately for me I never saw prison. A short miserable fucking stint w sheriff in the tents. But not long enough for the pink underwear. Just the pink sheets a shave, and a haircut. Great interview
32:50 your guest was incorrect here, but I don't blame him as he isn't from the southwest. A 13 tattoo represents Surenos, which is Mexican Mafia, not MS-13.
Yeah bro we don't fuck with MS ..they kill their own family 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Arizona aint with the California 13 ....it simply means RAZA ...if you have the patch it's a different story ....
Damn dude that's rough. That's f***** up I've been caught with dope a while back and never did I get charged for each individual bag. That's f***** up that they charge you for each one of those

What his story comes down to in the end is SHOW SOME UMILITY!! That is what Steve did by accepting that others must tell him what to do. We all have to be told what to do. Even if you don't think you dont, even if you are a billionaire, someone, something, is tell you what to do.....customer, government....you name it.

Do some time in a tai prison, then tell me how hard Az is or any prison in the U.S. You have electricity and running water that doesn't trickle slowly over where you shit into a hole. You have a floor, thats much better than dirt. You don't even have a mat to sleep on much less a cot. 1/2 cup of what passes for rice each day. No phones, no visits, no commissary , no canteen. American prison is a resort compared to that. In China, torture is just part of prison life. No shower, they throw buckets of waterat you that kill the lice and whatever else. You get one uniform, and you wear it until it falls off. That isn't even the half of it.
Ian I was wondering are you happy you got all the ink up & down your arms? One more comment and question how many years did you spend behind bars ? you don't have the convict look. Have a wonderful year.
