Supra is a really old car with manual shifting. It does not have any electronics. Whereas a Chiron has very advanced electronics including launch control and automatic gear shifting. U can actually hear the driver in Supra struggling to change gears at the right time.
And chiron have 16 pistons while supra have 6 pistons only

Everyone talking about how smooth the buggati was but Supra’s engine was too strong and it can reach higher speed but it’s just the TRANSMISSION that limits its speed.
Even if the Supra could reach such higher top speeds it would just lose control and crash in some nearby corner while the Chiron can easily go up to 500km/h without even realizing ur going at such an insane top speed. Dude just admit it comparing a multi million dollar hypercar manufactured by the best engineers in the world to a 90s retro every day sports car is like comparing a cat to a tiger.
Unbased comment. It's still extremely dangerous to heavily modify an old car to reach a stock modern supercar's speed since they ain't meant to be modded or reach insane speeds like that. "Supra's engine was too strong" a stock supra engine is nowhere as powerful as a supercar engine, it's just modded heavily. Supras are just easier to mod compared to other JDMs. If that's the case, they could've also change the transmission to a much better one if they wanted to. Stop fanboying over supras.

I love Supra’s, and that Supra is a beast, but watching that Bugatti was like watching the seconds hand on a watch flawlessly climb tick per tick. Plus back in the day an average person could by a Supra, no average person will ever be able to buy a Bugatti

Weight had to play a huge role in this comparison, while the interior of the Supra will most definitely have been stripped down, taking out all the unnecessary trims and pieces to reduce weight to male the car go fast. The Chiron on the other hand is filled with all sorts of stuff adding on a lot of weight, leather seats, ac system, etc…
... and it is AWD. AWD + "tons" of horsepower equals traction.
Both cars are good in their own way. Chiron is made for top speed records and it's a million dollar car which is an honour to have. Supra is a car of old times and is good for drag racing and the most important factor of it is the reliability of Japanese engineering. Both cars have strengths and flaws but I'm gonna give slight edge to Supra because of the Japanese engineering which is incredible and reliable but Chiron is also good. They are different kind of cars with different strengths and aims. So comparing them won't be so ideal but still great one. I love both. I hope you understand and I'm not being a fanboy.

Let's just clarify some things. That supra is absolutely not 1400 HP. That is the famous Jimmy's Supra, at about +1000HP, or at least, that wasn't the video in which it produced over 1700HP. In every case, the Supra could even have 2000 Horsepowers, it still won't be able to beat a Bugatti Chiron. The Chiron weighs way more than the Supra, and when it comes to release over 1,100kW on the road the weight is basically as important as the 4WD system that also Bugatti has on the Chiron. The Supra, without any type of Drag Tires, won't be probably even able to do 10s on a 1/4 mile, while the Chiron has already did its 9s. Neither the speed is comparable. The Chiron pulls a solid 420 km/h with no effort, due to its tremendous torque and a 8.0L Quad Turbo W16. The Supra would be probably vibrating and start to lose control at about 350, considering its Cx is pretty high and won't let the car pass over that limit. In conclusion. The Supra is staggering at staying beyond a Chiron, and probably beating it with a rolling start, probably from 100-200 km/h the times are even lower. But if it costs 2 million pounds, you can't expect it to be easily beatable. Plus, the most important thing: the Supra was never created or even thought for being able to go past 280 km/h, the Chiron was thought to be able to get nearly 500. (Chiron Pur Sport)

hah,almost any car can be plugged into the engine at least 10,000 horsepower ,but the difference will be that Bugatti was born to go at a speed of 400+ km/h ,and what will happen to the supra or any other car ,no one knows, because it was not tested in the wind tunnel, etc.Who knows what can happen to you at this speed or when accelerating, whether the tires or any other unit will hold?

Ive seen numerous videos on heavily modified supras in the past, and they look like such a pain in the ass to try and control. 1400hp all to the rear wheels is gonna give you alot of wheelspin, which is why this car takes a long time to gain traction and start going faster. But since the chiron is awd and was meant for top speed runs. You have no problem getting the car up to speed.
I like the sound of the supra, but the bugatti is officially electric, it's very quiet and when you drive a bugatti, you say 500 but you feel like you are going with 30. STRANGE!

@Damian Chiliński yeah the difference is it comes that way from factory, theyre meant to be pushing that type of power and last a good amount of time unlike a supra, the 2jz is a very capable engine I cant deny it that, with stock internals you can hit up to 700 hp without having much to worry about, but thats for you to achieve, the veyrons quad turbo w16 are designed and engineered to be able to hit that power with no issues at all, if it was lets say a hennessey venom gt I can understand that it isnt stock, since its a corvette engine that has been heavily modified, the engine used in the bugatti chiron line is all stock, they dont really use it from other cars since its all made just for bugatti and their road cars.
The bugatti's engine is electronically downtuned to reduce horsepower to make it a safe production car. Because the amount of acceleration a W16 can produce at its full might would make most people faint or pass out

awd and rwd is a big factor. In supra it is very hard to put all that power to road in 2 wheels is very hard it will lose a lot of the power by spinning. So awd car always better in drag. But in top speed rdw is better
not necessarily, the bug is much faster than the supra top speed wise, that comes down to aerodynamics and the drag coefficient of the car

Lol although I'm a big supra fan...you cant compare these two...first of all Bugatti has a lot of technology and a lot of aerodynamics so its easier to speed up...secondly in the first 2 gears of the supra, back wheels keep spinning that's why it goes from 60 to 100 and then to 90
they all know which one is the fastest, but just a little bit of them know which one is fun to drive :D

You don't have rebuild the engine/components everytime, you don't have the fear that the engine will blow up, your car isn't shaking like hell, you are still quicker, your car is stable af even at 400 km/h
So yeah Chiron is the winner.
But you do have to fear that your a million dollars in debt and you need to pay it soon
only if the supra had race slicks or semi slicks, it would have been better upto 300kmph. the one used here were street as i remember.

If RPM goes high too fast, then the gearbox is wrong. Set lower gear ratio. Or start from higher gear on existing gearbox.
Bro you need to compare the stock supra, its a piece of crap stock, i mean, its not the worst, but it doesnt come with 1400hp stock, the chiron its stock and have 1500hp but with way more eletronics, im waiting the kids that are supra fanboys come say that im wrong, also a supra is not reliable as the chiron, and they where both built for different things
