Great tutorial! I never thought of using heat bond to seal up a seam. That is one tip I will definitely use! Thank you again for your generosity and time doing these daily videos. Your choice for your next red thread is beautiful! ❤
Hi Lori, after watching your demo I spent the day making needle books for all my quilting and sewing friends here in our condos! I'll pass them out tomorrow! What a great last minute gift idea--or anytime! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial! Hugs, Candace😊
Thanks for another great tutorial - great inspiration for making our own! Reading the previous comments, it looks like I'm not alone appreciating your daily Vlogmas videos and sad to see them go away for another year. You have put so much of yourself into making these. A huge thank you!
Thank you for the wonderful demo Lori! I love the way your sweet little needle book turned out! Your next one red thread is gorgeous! Looking forward to watching your progress. Thanks for sharing that lovely book too, she has such a unique and delicate style! Until tomorrow, rest well and kisses to Fi and Izzy. 🫶🏻🎄🫶🏻
Another great tutorial. I think I'm going to have "Lori withdrawal" after your daily Vlogmas videos are over. They're such a great way to start my day.
What a great tutorial, I may be able to make a few this week. I just love needle books for each project I am working on. Oh the possibilities for the front of the book. You mentioned sewing at such an early age, sadly I was the tomboy climbing trees to pick apples for my Grandmother to make pies or playing baseball with the guys. Luckily my SIL and her husband gave me a sewing machine for a wedding present . Been hooked ever since. 🥰☃️🎄🪡🧵❄️🎅
I wasn’t a Tom boy, but I climbed plenty of trees and picked apples. Fished too as soon as I was big enough to hold a pole! Have fun making your needle books!
Thanks for the demo! Such a great use for little scraps and bits and pieces of fabric ephemera. I’m gonna miss seeing your Vlogmas when you are through. It’s been such a nice time enjoying you every day. You are such a creative and generous person. Take care ❤
Lori thank you so much for taking time to do a tutorial on the sweet needlebook! You’re very busy and I am really enjoying your Blogmas videos! Your new red stitch will be stunning! What a cute book too. So much in there with so many ideas! Thx again! ❤
No doubt you are very creative. I watched with amazement how easily you made that needle book 😮 Love those French designs, very different. I appreciate so much everything new
Lori, you make sewing projects look so easy. Thanks so much for your demos. I will definitely be making some of these after the new year. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Thank you for sharing the needle book tutorial. Great way to customize for gifts while using up scraps. The feature designer’s book is beautiful! I will be looking into that😊 Thank you for bringing your audience so many ideas!❤️
I always love your demos. I also really appreciate that you have been highlighting various designers. Thanks so much for your all of the effort you have put in to your Vlogmas. I have really been enjoying it!
Demo was great. The Magic of Christmas is another great book. Not wanting your vlogmas to end, I have enjoyed every one immensely. Looking forward to what you bring in 2025.
Hi Lori, The needle books are so cute!!! I thought of another movie that I liked "A Gift Wrapped Christmas" with Meredith Hagner, its not new but I like it enough to watch it every year, much like the movie you watch every Christmas called "Snow".
Thanks for the tutorial. I've made several needle books, and it's always nice to see how other's do them. They make great gifts for your sewing and Stitchy friends.
Lori, really enjoyed needlebook tutorial I have plenty of fabric just not wool/felt but sure I can acquire some..I would enjoy making these. So grateful for all the time you have taken, so appreciated 😘 see you tomorrow hard to believe only a couple more sleeps till Christmas 🤶🏻
I'm looking forward to trying a needle book once the holidays are over. I really appreciate the time you take to show us how to make all these lovely things! ❤
Just when I thought you already played all your cards - along you come with a great tutorial on needlecases! I love it and can’t wait to make a few. Thank you!
🌲🪡🌲🪡🌲🪡🌲🪡🌲Very fun tutorial!! I make a lot of needle books mostly for my 3 daughters and I really enjoyed your take with the side pockets. Funny.. that book has been on my list on Amazon for months - today it jumped $4! You are definitely an influencer!! I’ll miss your daily videos after Christmas but have much more to look forward to next Christmas (fingers crossed). Thank you Lori for putting in the time and effort and making our Christmas that much more fun!
Thanks, Lori for the needle book tutorial - so many possibilities! I haven’t done a “one red thread a day” stitch, but I’m seriously considering it after seeing so many lovely ones! See you tomorrow!
Thank you for the great needlebook tutorial. I like all the various ways that they can be done. I will have to work some of those up. For a few months now I have been working on a "One green thread a day", (where you go red, I go green) and I have gotten very far on it thanks to your inspiration. It is a gorgeous alphabet Noel sampler called "Un air d'autrefois" and it is in my Best of Renato Parolin book. I dyed the fabric green and am using DMC 500 for the lettering. Of course it would be beautiful in red too. Today I searched and found my Thimbleberries Lakeside quilt pattern that is a little different than yours, but still beautiful. I was so excited about it last night that I could hardly sleep and super happy that I found it today!
I don't have any needle books but with your tutorial I think I could sew a few up now on my own. This summer if I get to any yard sales, I'll be looking for some wool felt pieces for sure. Thank you for making it look so easy. The new Red stitch pattern is going to beautiful. Bet you are looking forward to starting it. Miss seeing the kitties the last couple days. 😔 Already missing these daily videos, I'm sure I'll be going back and watching them again along with the ones from last year. See you tomorrow! 😻😻
Thanks for the needle book tutorial. You make it look so easy. I have lots of scraps so I think I need to get busy planning for next Christmas. Never to early to start😂😂😂
Thank you for the great tutorial. I’m going to be making some for stitchy friends. Another flosstube that I watch is Sew on Wednesday she stitches so many cute things out of the Veronique books. They are so cute. Thank you for sharing🎄
Thank you Lori, for another excellent tutorial. I have so enjoyed your vlogmas and you're inviting us into your lovely home. I have that same book and agree it is so full of items I want to stitch ❤
Thanks Lori, so many designs for the needle book that can become a great little stocking stuffer or gift. Love the idea of a little 1-2 "needle point design. Will have to look for that book. ❤ will miss your Vlogmas, but I know how time consuming they can be especially at this time of year.🥰🎄
Great demo! Seems like the world is your oyster with the needle books. So many ways to customize. Also great artist spotlight. I've never heard of her, but such darling designs.
Dang girl I always learn so much from you. Didn’t know about getting inside the seam for corners and heat and bond for closures. Going to make tons of needle books. Love you. ❤
Another nice video. I just love needlebooks. I just finished the “home” needle case from shephard’s bush. The kit is made with French general fabric. I love it. Thanks for the demo. 💕
Great demo Lori! I meant to comment on the last vlogmas about all your hobbies. I too find it a fascinating, slippery slope. One thing leads to another and then another. It doesn’t seem to matter where you start it all just calls to you. I would love to hear about your wheel. I just brought home an antique Canadian Production Wheel (CPW) and am really looking forward to spinning on her. Happy crafting, and Merry Christmas!
I love your needlebook and idea to add books to our project bags. I have never ordered so many books in one month:-) Thank you for sharing your creative ideas and knowledge. Have fun with your family, Merry Christmas!
I enjoyed watching you make a needle book. I love making them, too. In my latest video, I said I could have a whole library of needle books ...LOL! Thank you for taking the time to share with us during this busy season.
Great needlebook demo! Makes me want to use some mini quilt squares in my stash. I have Veroniques Christmas book too. I probably saw it in your video last year. The charts are simply enchanting. I would need to get them enlarged to stitch, however. Lots of color changes in tiny designs. I just love looking at all the precious pieces!
Thank you for the demo - I'm looking forward to making one after the Christmas rush. Slow stitching January 😅. You're spoiling us with your wonderful Vlogmas 🎄💝🕯️ See you tomorrow ✨
Thank you for the needle book demo. I’ve been wanting to make one of the needle books from one of the Kathy Schmitz books. It doesn’t have to be intimidating. I like that you do the designer spotlights. It gives us a chance to see someone’s work that we may not be familiar with. Veronique’s designs are very sweet.
Thank you so much for the demo of your needlebook. I do a stitching advent calendar for my daughter every year and will be adding this to next years. Loraine from Sew on Wednesday has a few of the books from the designer you spotlighted. She has done several adorable little projects that you may enjoy seeing if you haven’t already. Happy crafting!
The tutorial was amazing…thanks so much for sharing! I have a couple of the books you shared and just love the cute stitches of all the little kids. They are adorable but have not stitched any yet! I guess I just love collecting all the cute things🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for showing us how to make a needlebook. I was always afraid to make one but you made it look so easy. I can't believe we are almost at the end of vlogmas I will miss seeing you everyday.
Thank you so much for your needlebook tutorial, Lori. It was really great and very well explained. I'm looking forward to making some little needlebooks for my granddaughters as I'm teaching them how to stitch and sew. My sewing machine has not been working for a couple of years now and I really miss it, hopefully I can get it fixed soon. You inspired me that I can still make a few needlebooks by hand without the machine. Thank you so much for your lovely vlogmas videos, I've enjoyed them very much throughout this Christmas prep season.
Thank you for the demo and with scraps!!! Love that new one red thread! Well I went to Amazon and ordered the book. The comments there all agreed it’s amazing. It comes Christmas Eve Day!
Thank you so very much for the needlebook tutorial. You made that look so easy. I envy your knowledge of what is going to look just right. I have several books by Veronique. I learned about her from Lorene, Sew on Wenesdays flosstube. She has stitched many of Veronique’s designs. Happy stitching!❤
Super cute project!!! Makes the perfect stocking stuffer for any crafter!!! Love the red thread sampler choice!!! I’ll have to check out the cross stitch book. I’m pretty sure I did see it on Amazon at one time!! Another great video!!!!
Great to see you Lori! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. That book is definitely on my list. If you love red mushrooms, Tiny Modernist has a wonderful cross stitch pattern called Mushroom Forest. Happy Vlogmas!
Loved the demo! I’m excited to try making a needlebook. I learned to sew on a treadle because my mom didn’t want me to use her machine. Veronique has a pretty style and I think it would pair nicely with Tilda!
Great tutorial! I never thought of using heat bond to seal up a seam. That is one tip I will definitely use! Thank you again for your generosity and time doing these daily videos. Your choice for your next red thread is beautiful! ❤
