Jurassic Park Survival could have been one of the best games in the Jurassic Park franchise, but unfortunately, Universal and Konami screwed everything up. 😭😡

This is the first I've ever heard of this game and after seeing the footage, I'm pretty bummed that it never became a thing. All we ever get in this franchise now are park building sims and that annoys me to no end.

Even 20 years ago, Universal was still screwing up video game potential for this franchise
and the movies.
It's really sad that JP/JW fans have to resort to talking about what could've been with video games and series instead of actually getting to enjoy something in recent years that isn't hot garbage or a corporate insult. :(

it is seeming more and more obvious that the biggest thing holding back jurassic as a franchise is universal it's self. the more i learn about this franchise the more i see it being weighed down by them.

The trailer for this game was on the Soundtrack CD for JP3 back in 2001. I was THRILLED. A new "real" game ? Making things right, that Trespasser had gotten wrong maybe? THIRLLED i tell you. Man what a bummer.

It's ironic that Jurassic Park video games largely carry a legacy of "What could have been". Can you do a video on the JP3 first-person game that was on the JP3 website?

Seriously (😒), what is it with the “Jurassic” franchise having several _attempts_ at triple-A tie-in games for it being developed…only to get scrapped? This is almost starting to feel like some kind of *curse.*
Back in 2001, I didn't have a PS2 or Xbox but I probably would've begged my parents for either if the game did come out. Also, I didn't know of the game's existence until 2008. It would've been a fantastic addition to the Jurassic Park series.
At the time the game was announced, back in 2001, it had appeared in gaming magazines, which talked a little about the game, and there were images of the game as well.
Some of these pages from these magazines are available on the internet, it is not very difficult to find.

Really thinking about it, i wonder in an alternate reality where trespasser was a success and finished to see if universal would be pushing more JP games

It’s been years sense I saw the trailer of this game
And now knowing it’s full history , it’s clear that this and the cancelled Jurassic word game and series are definitely what the franchise needs to win back the support of fans and to where the franchise should go.
So far the closest things we got to this game is the game of Peter Jackson s game , Tyrol 2008 , Jurassic the hunted , and the telltale Jurassic park the game .
Why has Universal refused to release more details on Jurassic Park Survival?

All you need for a good game or movie is a t rex, triceratops, stegosaurus, brachiosaurus, raptors, and maybe compies, and dilophosaurus.
You have just those dinosaurs you got a hit. You dont need all that bullshit in the new movies.
Spinosaurus is ok though.
But thats half the battle, then make it suspenseful, build tension, that dread and scared feeling from watching, and thats it
Not a shit ton of action and explosions, or military bullshit. You dont need a ton cgi, practical effects is better in movies. Thats why the 1st 3 movies and old games are great and this new shit sucks.
