I would never would buy another okuma product.I have been through 2 tips.First rod okuma makaira blue 13ft front tip broke twice.Both tips snapped original and replacement.First tip broke with a cast on a 4 once sinker well above the rated rod's specs.Replacement tip broke while pulling in a small blue ray did not pull hard as I thought the ray was an edible.Can't get a replacement tip anymore because okuma erases their rod's from the factory entirely after a new released rod.Next thing my friend also bought a okuma rod after I told him not to.He bought a okuma precision 13ft 3th trip with the rod it snapped in a half.In all my 30 years of fishing I never experienced this with any other brand.

After being at the showroom and seeing how they operate, I can’t fault them at all as a company… their R AND D is next level.
Michael my recently bought okuma makaira blue 12ft multiplier front tip also broke barely used.Like you said they scrape of the rod at the factory as soon as a new one is launched.Can't get a new tip.
Yip my brand new okuma mariana snapped just last week in the cast super disappointed as we were doing an overnighter ended up sleeping on the sand 😂 no spare rod.Got a full refund and bought an Assassin evo lovely rod.Wouldn't touch their line up could imagine if it breaks when warranty expires😢

How can we see some more of your work?
I've been using my passionstick for over 10+years and still going strong after hundreds of shad and leeries, I've even caught multiple medium sized rays on it and its still going strong. Been a pain in the ass finding a new rod i like just as much as that one. Bought a 9ft wave power recently and been loving that especially for only R500

Hi guys, as far my knowledge goes regarding the whites. As soon as you know it's a white you have to cut the line. Which in itself is a stupid rule/law, lets say you hook a shark and it strips 200-300m of line, breaches and you see it's a white and you cut the line. Now that shark has 200-300m of line or braid dragging behind it, which could do more damage or even kill the shark. That's just my 2c.

I spoke to someone who said that if it’s a BIG white, and you know it’s one- cut sooner rather than later because they suffer from the fight.
The smaller ones, try release in the water and as close to the hook as possible.
@@untraceablefishing Regarding the bigger whites, you will know when it's one trust me, been there done that. They are unstoppable no matter what your tackle. Also they regulate their own body temps, so just like us after prolonged fights they build up lactic acid and will eventually die.
The smaller ones, yes there I agree, get in ASAP remove the hook and let it go.

I think the law in South Africa is, soon as you get the fish close and you notice you hooked on to a great white the angler has to cut the line so he doesn't cause any more stress on the fish but i could be wrong? would be nice if the guy could complete a sentence🙈 lol
