I rate Lycra when there is shad around and a tip when fishing with lycra cotton is to have a lighter with you to remove it of the hook , I prefer FISH SA's cotton rolls rather than the bottle one 💪

I've found when there's a lot of peckers they bite through the latex and it unravels easily so I use latex to build the bait then wrap a few turns of lycro over the latex cos that stuff won't come off easily.
