I think ive beaten in both ways. But the long way isnt easy. Nice that you show both options. Great to follow this again. Been quiet some time.. That i've done the whole campaign on both sides.

Having the jump jet troops land and give up their invulnerability to most ground units is classic C&C AI behaviour.
you need to build the transport planes to carry the Titans to the isolated highland to destroy the defense lasers and guard the gate!
I don't think I've ever beaten this mission the long way, as a kid I always rushed it.
Pretty sure this is Retrieve Disruptor Crystals!
Not sure 100% but i remember if u capture that radar at the station ull get map reveal
