I loved this. I don’t know why but when that lil’ boy helped you put the bracelet on it brought a tear to my eye. You two rock!! You’re so gracious! 💫❤️💫
I think I was going to cry if she didn’t buy one of his bracelets. However, I understand you can’t buy from everyone. When I was a kid, we went to Mexican border towns once, there were kids selling stuff everywhere. Kids were literally chasing my grandparents motorhome with boxes of “chicle”. It definitely brings some perspective to your eyes as a kid.
I enjoy the fact that Cody and Kelli do research on the areas. They are visiting and the history that they tell us a story almost to their audience is so interesting and it really brings out the fact that they enjoy RV living and exploring the country that they live in and want to know the history and exploring the caves and the museums, and everything about the country that they live in and travel in and enjoy the different cultural foods and the people. That is one thing that I appreciate about this young couple is that they share the country with the people that view the videos, the viewers are just not watching somebody camping, cooking and doing a little hiking or kayaking. We learn from this channel about different parts of the country and for that I think you, Cody and Kelli for your love of our country, and sharing it with us along with your camping adventures.
I'm born and raised in Texas...and definitely will not visit Mexico. It's sad, because so many little communities depend on tourist...glad you guys were able to support them and get back safely.
Awesome thank you I have never been out of the country I’m 58 that was cool now I could do that . They could make a walk way with stone for those that don’t want to get feet wet or take the boat crossing . Love living through your lives .
I'm so glad y'all made that little journey and helped out those people and their little businesses it means a lot to people hopefully we can all go back to helping small businesses, what a wonderful experience thanks for sharing your journey
That video cracked me up, with the burro ride and all. Food looked good, very authentic that’s for sure!!! The locals were so humble! Such a different life, just across the river! Glad you didn’t experience any harm or have a runaway burro!
That looked like so much fun. I totally would love to go there. That food looked so yummy. Thank you guys for bringing us to these beautiful places!!!❤❤
Hi Cody & Kelly ! What a neat little town & such nice people for a day voyage ! The tacos looked delicious, beautiful bracelet & the Burros worked out good for your first experience ! Don Orencio seemed like such a great tour guide & gave you a good little workout ! Keep smiling !
LOL. Delish was an understatement. My mouth broke into a hot sweat ! so I had a peanut & butter sammich…. Desperate times call for desperate measures…. LOL
Good morning! I watched this again. I loved the Donkeys! You were cute tottering along on the Donkeys. The clouds were so cool. The scenery was beautiful . I thought it was sweet how the Boy came and tied your bracelet. Orencio gave you a good tour.
No American has ever come close to Matamoros, Laredo and others. At least since the Civil War. Even safer towns are under the influence of cartels. Undoubtedly they're exert at least some influence over that town but keep a low profile (no kidnapping, drug dealing limited). But violence raising it's head is bad for tourist business and business can't pay protection money if there aren't tourists to pay in. People use to tell me the tourist resort towns of the Yucatan peninsula were free of the violence in the rest of Mexico. Now they're among the most violent with shootouts common.
@@moltenlab Can't think of the last time we had armies of hundreds of criminals armed with 50 cal machine guns and sniper rilles and every kind of assault rifle, rocket launchers in armored vehicles, threatening to massacre families of law enforcement, shooting down helicopters, forcing the surrender of jailed crimes bosses. Just can recall that..
Loved this.. Mexico is one of my favorite countries to visit, such amazing food and people.. and I'm shocked you guys are from Arkansas and don't ride horseback often! I'm from LA (los angeles) and we ride all the time, even in the city! LOL glad you got to experience it Kellie, and hope to see ya'll do it more often
Don’t let someone else's fear stop you This was so quick and nice. A very good introduction into border crossing for those who have never done it. I have been to MX plenty of times, walking across, driving across, and, of course, flying. Mexico is safe, as safe as the US. There are good areas and bad areas.
Hi! That was fun! I'm not eating Mexican tonight but I had corn torts, beans, eggs, cheese, avo, sour cream, and red and green salsa for breakfast! That was a big river crossing😂 Your guide was so humble and quiet. Looks like a fun time. Cheers🐕🦺🦮
Discovered your channel about 2 weeks ago and have been binge watching you daily. Awesome couple, content, just all around great vibe from you two. keep 'em coming!!!
This was awesome! The little town kind of reminds me of Mexican towns in old western movies. Your guide seemed like such a nice man who really loves what he does. Plus getting to eat Mexican food in Mexico is like the coolest.
I absolutely LIVE your new hat ! I’d of gone back & gotten it too Kellie. I wish I had it!! 😂 Fun little day trip across the border. Donkey riders !! 👍💕✌️
Check out Robert Earl Keen’s “Gringo Honeymoon”… it’s a song about that exact very trip across the Rio Grande… donkeys, guide and all!! I watch you two all the time, but now that you crossed over into the lyrics of one of my favorite songs, I’m thrilled!! ❤️ Thank you!
that was an interesting little adventure. The tacos in both restaurants looked delicious! The view of the river was so beautiful with great lighting. Thanks again for taking us along.
I have seen several of these videos crossing into Mexico at Big Bend. However, this is the most interesting and the only time a guide was almost killed.
Mexican food is great in Texas because it’s close to Mexico Im glad yall had a good time there Kelly was. So nice to that young man made me hungry for Mexican food in Texas… 💙❤️💙❤️ 13:26
Hey guys WOW 👌 👏 This Is Brilliant Beautiful. You both put together one of the best videos on TH-cam ,I take my Hat of to you Kellie😂You Both gel Live,Work an Play perfectly 🎉🎉Your so legit ,down to earth and Great behind the Camera .Doing Great Guys love the content 💯 Thankyou for your efforts 🎉❤
We were in Mexico Yesterday---put Las Palomas on your list!! They also need tourists. South of Deming NM. Pancho Villa State Park (New Mexico). The BEST Mexican food. Happy you have passports!
That was a great day and great workout my legs were worn out by the time you got back from that side hike. Looking forward to seeing more soon. Your living the dream for me ☮️
In the 1987, I just walked across the river to do what you videoed. If you looked in the sky, you would see power lines from Texas that were disconnected to the town. Now they use solar panels.
My late wife and I went there many years ago. We took the lady that own the local cantina to get supplies. Maria Alana. Very nice people.looks lick it's gotten way more commercial.
I'm in Tucson. You guys are CRAZY to go there right now. Im even scared to leave my place here sometimes especially at night. Been here not even a year yet and I regret moving here. Worst decision I've made in awhile So scary. Please stay safe. I've seen way to much here already! Living in fear is the worst! I'm happy you have each other.
The little town reminds me so much a place I visited in 1980; Puerto Peñasco. At that time it was a small, non-commercial seaside town frequented by Norwegians, for some reason. I still have a traditional wool blanket purchased from a local family selling their wares in the cantina. One cantina town then. I understand today it is a developed resort on the Gulf of California. Development strikes again. The sad part is, the artisans whose crafts are sold at these resorts typically only make a mere 10-20% of the resort’s mark-up. They need to turn that around.
I lived in Rosarito for a few years in my 20’s when the surf swells died back in Northern California. You gotta be on your toes. Once they figured out my routines and towards the end I had a lot of issues. I have three lovely knife wound scars from attempted robberies. My best tip is stick to large tourism areas and stay with the crowds. These smaller areas can be a bit sketch if your not a rugged fellow.
I always like watching your videos. Starting following you when you were just tent camping. I really enjoyed the music. Especially the sound clip when you were walking into the Falcon restaurant. Please share the source?
You two are amazing. It looks like an amazing trip. Mexico is beautiful. We have been in nice areas as well in Mexico. It gets a bad rap. So sad. Stephanie M❤

If you can ride a donkey, then a horse will be comparatively easy and smooth. Generally speaking (since there are exceptions for both) horses are usually more docile and can carry larger weights than donkeys. However, since donkeys have cloven hooves, they're better for climbing mountainous terrain and uneven trails. What an amazing little side trip to that Mexican village that seems so different from the Texas campground. Hard to believe how one rather shallow and narrow river marks the border between the two entities! BTW, did the taco use a homemade corn tortilla? That makes a big difference and corn tortillas have been a staple in Mexican cuisine for over 2500 years! However in Spain, a tortilla means an egg and potato omelet instead of the Latin American flatbread so, if you ever venture there, be aware of the difference.
I would tell you how I pulled it off but my cartel would cut me in half with a chainsaw…. No, just silly, I was an auto parts Counterman athe the time and took my weeks vacation delivering Yugo cars to and fro Detroit for a week. What beautiful landscape I saw……Yes, Detroit at night was awesome when you are haulin a load of cars….

This area is very safe. The town is isolated
Seriously then, watch Itchy boots if you think a little boat ride on the southern border is terrifying. Oh the horror! 😂
Best video of Boquillas Ive seen! Lived in far West Texas for years.
Wow, thanks!

This is probably not a very good time to visit the border, but more power to y’all!
We made it out alive
A Modelo Negro and some tacos (real tacos) that's a good day. Vaya con Dios
You got your passport yes 👏
That was SO cool, such a great small town.
Wow! Thats so awesome!
You two are amazing. It looks like an amazing trip. Mexico is beautiful. We have been in nice areas as well in Mexico. It gets a bad rap. So sad.

Thank you 😊
Looks peaceful to me, I would go there for real Mexican food and good Mexican beer
What a fun day!
I was fortunate enough to do this before 9/11. Back in those days, you didn't have to report that you were Crossing. You just went to the river and made the deal there. I loved it! We also crossed on the other side of the park at Santa Elena.
Things have changed a lot since then!
Mexico is so beautiful
Viva México! You had passports!!! Hallelujah!
Love love love your video contents. Thanks
Glad you like them!
Loved it!
I can't believe Kellie has never ridden a horse. When you return to Arkansas, you should stop at Lake Catherine State Park. They have horseback rides.
I would not go either! No way!
Awesome content fascinating vlog!
Your drone work is great Cody! I put you up there with Ryan Van Duzer on the high-flying vid work. He loves Mexico too, but instead of having his bike on board his camping rig, he's got his camping rig on board his bike. 😊 Keep it up!
Very cool
A little sketchy and glad you're safe. Shocked that elderly man walked so far.
We are too 😂
Awesome 😎
Thanks 🤗
Precious couple
Thank you 😊
I really enjoyed this new video. Mexico is a beautiful and vibrant country with amazing food! I could so easily eat there all day every day! It’s so easy to see how they milk the $ from you but I guess everyone has to make a living somehow. Great video guys xx wish we had some of those tacos 🌮😂
Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh and btw our local overland group was out there last weekend. I crack up all the time at how many Terlingua t shirt’s Cody wears. ✌️

So what kind of paperwork do you need to cross? Does this require a passport? Or just an ID? Love the video.
You just need your passport
@@CodyandKellie Thanks guys !!! Darn.....I do not have a passport, but we are trying our best to make a trip down there this winter.
Poor man looks like he can hardly make it!
I know we felt so bad, but he wanted to show us the beauty.
Real Mexican food is very good tasty But here in the states they always make it Not as rich
I wouldn’t be going to the border right now unless it’s to fight with Texas against the federal government
We hear ya!
