@Andrew Bovee Imagine in a regular pokemon game, they make the champion the evil boss, and rig the battle so its impossible to win, then a cutscene where your rival who was there with you, runs away leaving you. The evil team has won, you have lost. Then at the end it shows looker asking two new trainers if they're ready. A story that spans accross to the next games.
Watching Grovyle take Celebi into his arms just to watch the sunset together despite the physical difficulty to do so was by far the most heartwarming scene I’ve ever seen in a Pokemon game.
"Eventually the time will come when I'm not here anymore. The important thing isn't how long you live your life... it's what you accomplish in it." - Grovyle Words I love and live by.
That first scene with the portal is even more emotional with a Treecko as your partner. Words cannot describe how intense it must be for someone almost the same as you, just older, asking you to step up and take their place because they can't come back from what they need to do. Grovyle asked Treecko to be as strong as his own evolution. And he was.
I used to hate Sableye so much for doing all the dirty work, but I never realized how loyal they are to Dusknoir, and even attacked Dialga to defend Dusknoir. Truly changed my mind on them and Dusknoir going through major character development. This game is truly one of a kind.

@@tim_ggrl1175 I absolutely hate 3DS games because of the 3D animation looks horrible and is so annoying. Playing a 3D game on a small handheld video game set would really suck and be kinda hard to control. The 2D is way better. I can stand the 3D animation on video games that attach to the tv like GameCube though because the screen is bigger and easier to control.
My favorite part is 45:18 when the boss battle music starts before the fight. I honestly don't know if this game could have been any better. Pure perfection.
Looking back at this this was really dark even for a Pokemon game dusknoir was literally going to kill Grovyle and possesses dead body how the edge I love this game
am i the only one who think the pixel makes it even greater? i cant imagine it in 3d, it will loose all his essence. hope someday gane freak does another pixel game, just for the memories.
TheTerribleGamer it was actually past dialga who bought them back coz when the past changed the future . You,grovyle and future Pokemon must disappear but dialga sensed your partners cry and how broken your partner was abt u dying. So dialga revived u and that cause all future Pokemon to be revived in the changed timeline
if that were true then arceus should have done something abt the future being paralyzed in the first place like helping grovyle and main character(at least stop dialga and dusknoir from messing around) in the quest of saving the world.. just being higher than dialga wouldnt be good at all if the world is what it was in the future.
@@vossboss220it looks more like Dialga forced him to do it. You could see the second Dusknoir diverted from the plan, Dialga beat him up brutally. I think it’s 100% plausible that Dusknoir didn’t want to do what he was planning to do, but felt compelled due to his loyalty to Dialga
Damn this got me more in the feels than the main story line... They really need to make more main Pokemon games like this! I absolutely love the Mystery Dungeon games for their AMAZING storyline
***** It was a good game mechanically, but the story was GARBAGE! Sky set the bar so high, and they didn't even TRY to clear it, let alone match it. GROVYLE versus a completely inconsequential prank about Giritina, set up as some major story element then turning out to be COMPLETELY POINTLESS! But hey, to each their own.
Elijah Budd Let me ask, you finished the whole game, right? Because that giratina thing was early on the game. I thought things escalated quite quickly during the later parts. Also maybe EOS was a grand story compared to Super but I dont think it was THAT bad. It was an improvement from GTI at least.
***** I did beat it. I got all 721, actually. I dunno, I stand by my view. Compared to the stories of past PMDs, it just felt extremely underwhelming and lackluster. Being able to use any Pokemon was a pretty sweet feature though, so I'm not saying the game is a dumpster fire or anything. Its story was just kind of boring.
Duskinoir was never a bad guy. If you think about it, everything he did was understandable. He was simply fighting to stay alive, and did not truly understand what Grovyle and you were doing. I do think he was sincere in the present, until he found out about the name of you, the protagonist. Although he went pretty far, such as trying to steal Grovyle's body, I'd imagine many people would go pretty far if their life was on the line. He just needed to understand the impact of the human spirit, and that it is about the quality of years that matters in a life, not the quantity. Pretty deep for a Pokemon game
Dusknoir was a gas lighter he knew the only way to make it in the past world to find Grovyle and you was to win the hearts of pokemon in town and region wide as an "explorer" and pokemon of vast knowledge. He told the "truth" so his cover wasn't blown out too soon why he was doing things anyway. He was telling the truth about the future but he did not tell the full truth that he was the agent that protects the world of darkness. Why Corphish didn't understand the story entirely and why you the human question why you saw him smile when he heard your name. But he didn't want to disappear and or get the wrath of Dialga. Why he did what he did.
@@AlexxxMYLSince2013 ah then all of the continents are the final product of the New World the Pokémon of the future live in, if that's the case then if possible, then they're should've been 2 humans in the future (again)
Wow, Grovyle trusted Dusknoir after everything Dusknoir did. That's... That's amazing. Grovlye's actions at first seemed terrible but his plan made sense. You have to admire Grovyle for that.
i never finished this special episode, & finding out that grovyle, celebi and the others survive literally has me in tears. i’m so glad i watched this because for years i though grovyle died.
I completely forgot about this special episode until i found this video, then i picked up my dsi and played the whole episode in one sitting and felt like a kid again, i cried so much lmao
The entire dynamic between grovyle and dusknoir in this entire special episode is fantastic and offers perhaps the most wanted level of closure to all fans of the original games, best addition to pokemon eos
HeavyDonkeyKong the ironic part is that grovyle thought the fight would be 3 to 1 against him(Dialga, Dusknoir, and mentioned henchman), but in the end, it was 3 to 1 against Dialga(Grovyle, Dusknoir, and Celebi)
Unfortunately...nowadays it feels more and more childish, don't get me wrong, I adore this game, it's my favorite pokemon game, it's just a shame how things have declined in some aspects.
*Zero Isle* *The seven treasures* *Mystery Part and Secret Slab recruitment* *Destiny tower* *Legendary dogs challenge dungeons* *Final maze* Still need more story?
These kind of games have really beautiful stories, something that has been really lacking in recent pokemon games... I really wish in explorers of sky, you were able to visit the future back and forth from the past. I would've paid 200 bucks for that and still be satisfied.
@lukerosales5879 if they do, I'm hoping they will bring back just about everything great about it, and then some, like better storage...unfortunately I now worry that what I want won't have nearly any heart in it.
They’re implying that this higher power that brought them back was Arceus, but my only question is: where the Hell was he during all of this?! I’d imagine an all powerful god of creation would have come in handy in stopping total paralysis of the planet.
Torterra Well, if Arceus is the God of the Pokemon universe, everything is something he willed. That means he willed the main character and his partner into existence and then had them stop it.
Well my bad, i understand now. Just after the credit in the main story when past Dialga "Give the future" to your partner, he scream towards the sky. I believe there he is calling for Arceus
It's actually interesting. Arceus is the only one of the 493 Pokemon in the game to appear and be implied to exist, but never be encountered physically or be recruited. I like this for Arceus. It just shows how it's impossible to recruit GOD, like it's supposed to be.
Sora Segundo It isn't in Explorers of Time or Explorers of Darkness if you played one of those. The third and final version, Explorers of Sky, had 5 special episodes like this. This one is unlocked when you finish the main story.
I'm all choked up. This just gave me major feels. I wanna cry, I'm so happy. It's always sad when they disappear, and then when they come back, for some reason, it makes it feel great but also so sad as well. Pardon me, my eyes are sweating.
This is why I love Dusknoir, throughout the game they're portrayed as the secondary antagonist, and even when Dusknoir was still trying to trick Grovyle, they still managed to bond with their worst enemy, and in the end... Dusknoir had a change of heart, to do what was necessary to change the future, even at the cost of their own lives.
This game. The small nuances and heart the creators put into it. It's unlike anything I've ever seen. Many people just don't make games with this level of heart anymore. It can be a passion project sure, but at the end of the day it becomes a product. Something to be bought and sold and enjoyed. Then forgotten. Something that sticks out to me above all else... it's not anything big. It's not the amazing incredible adventure you go on while playing through the game. It's the little details. It's characters like Dusknoir. Here they took a pokemon that many people overlook or forget and incorporated it into the very pinnacle of his arc. The beautiful and poetic irony in Dusknoir's entire arc... it's simple. He is darkness. Despite this, despite what he was born to be, despite his name literally translating to darkness, he changed the course of his fate. It was this willpower, this determination to be something to someone, to anyone, that made even Grovyle see the truth in the end. Despite their rivalry, despite everything they put each other through. Dusknoir's life was destined to shine. Even in the world's darkest moment he became one of the last beacons of light. In fact... he shined so brightly that it was blinding. Bright enough to pierce the confines of the game he was in and touch the heart of the very player who was merely a witness to it. It was truly... extraordinary.
47:23 In the morning sun. A true master piece of a song. Its just as feels heavy as I don't want to say goodbye. In facts its even more. Such a great song to add to the moment. Another reason why this is my favorite game.
I think that grovyle is a lot more expressive in Sky than in time/darkness. I remember him only having a few portraits in my Time playthroughs. Definitely an improvement here.
You know what I just realised? Celebi and Grovyle are right smack bang beside each other on the Pokedex (#251, #253 respectively) separated only by Treecko. Coincidence? I think not
This is going to sound insane, but I genuinely had no idea this epilogue existed until now. I played Explorers of Time when it came out, and that's all. Grovyle's story touched my heart deeply and has stuck with me all of these years, and somehow, I never knew there was more to his story. Thank you SO much for uploading this; I am forever in your debt! :)
"When I came to this planet, I saw the sunrise for the very first time; and I felt the beauty of life surrounding me as far as the eye could see. In the future, we've all lost our desire to live, but if we could somehow change the world of darkness, I'd risk my life for it." "Protect the sunrise, for everyone's sake." -Grovyle "Is this the morning sun...? I had no idea, a world in which the sun rises... It is so beautiful. The sun, I had no idea it could be this warm." -Celebi The first two from Grovyle are from the anime episode, and the last one is from Celebi. These two moments, while being from different media, make the simple act of seeing the sunrise so special. These Pokemon have never seen something like the sun, something that most would take for granted. Some hate the heat, others find the light it provides disturbing, and others just prefer the darkness. For Pokemon who have only known darkness, to see something like the sun, it must have been exhilerating and scary at the same time. What's worse is the fact that they get to see the sun for the first and last time, as they will die shortly after. They got to see the Dawn, but at the cost of their lives. They got to feel wind, and cold, and see the stars and the aurora, for a short period of time before the sunrise. This is why I love this game, the main story has a moment where Grovyle and the partner witness the sunrise. But at this point, we've been in a world where the sun always rises, it's still a special moment, don't get me wrong, but this moment at 48:13 is way more impactful for me. Most of the Pokemon of the future have never seen the sun, they get to bask in its warmth only to disappear shortly after. And I think that's a beautiful way to go. After who knows how long, suffering in the darkness, struggling to survive, losing your will to live and becoming a shell of who you are, to see something like that, I think the brief hope of a better world, would be worth it. I'm happy Arceus let the Pokemon of the future live, it makes the beauty of this sunrise even more special. Because there will never be a more important sunrise than this one. A sunrise that brings a new day, a new day that has been on the cusp of dawning for generations, always so close yet so far at the same time. Celebi disappearing in Grovyle's arms makes it even more impactful. Dying with the one you love after seeing something you've never seen before, after feeling the cold air and seeing the aurora... I think that's the best way to go. It's moments like this that make me love this game so much, but this episode in particular has stuck with me for such a long time. It doesn't matter what how long you live, it's what you've accomplished with your life that matters. Making each day count, and appreciating the little things, even things like the sunrise.
I just love this game so much, no other Pokemon game is close to it's story. The music, characters, the feels - all to much. I'll miss it with a passion
The scene with celebi and grovyle watching the sun rise is so beautiful. This is all they ever wanted to see a world without darkness and they finally get their wish in the end
After watching this Special Episode and knowing that the pokemon of the future didn't disappear, it's heartwarming to know if Grovyle wanted to, he can have Celebi make a new passage of time so either him alone or all 3, including Celebi and Dusknoir, can go to the world of the past, your world so you and your partner can reunite with Grovyle, Celebi, and it'll be a huge shock when they see Dusknoir, but they'll be exchanging stories with each other and have fun.
The only way this ending could be any better is if you actually get to see Grovyle and the main character reuniting! Even if it'd make me cry like a baby lol.
I didn’t fucking know about this oh my god oh my fucking god everything about this I thought the game was already fucking perfect for years without knowing about this. Like a fucking decade actually. how could they possibly make it better, and I never knew about this. It. Was. Fucking. Better. god I love the grovyle/dusknoir dynamic and the entire ending to this side story. The music playing before the battle transition, and dusknoirs quote man.
Before I play this, I completely clear my entire item storage, making this my final challenge for the game after I defeat Darkrai and claim the Seven Treasures. It's a really great way to bring the game back to its roots.
The Pokémon anime is mainly targeted for kids, but it has had multiple episodes that are as heart wrenching as Explorers of Sky. Pikachu's Goodbye, Snow Way Out and Memories in the Mist especially come to mind.
ikr? If the guys at gamefreak at least realize that a pokemon story could have gone a little deeper than just toddlers level, we can have epic stories like this for the mainline game. The reason i really like about the mystery dungeon games is, all of the characters are fun, relateable, and can sad at the same time, they are very multidimensional and very likeable, it’s easy to grow attach to them. the only thing that’s barely close to that from the mainline game is just N.
@@thevarietychannelofyoutube4769 The anime series is catered to mostly children and is expected to air for more than 2 years (3 years sometimes). As long as it's not mega cringe and is funny most of the time - something that works well for Pokemon - it is good enough for most people. I felt extra dark (and outside of cringe categories) series would work best in contained short series like Colloseum or Mystery Dungeon.
Fuck this game for making me feel the feels so damn hard... ...seriously, Treeko was my first pokemon (Gen 3 was my first gen) and Grovyle was my best pokemon throughout that game (never bothered to evolve him, though I didn't really max out his levels either) ...so I wept SO HARD when he dissapeared in the main story...
So a few years back, I saw the "prove my existence" as an anonymous quote and it kinda with time morphed into a major part of the framework of my life philosophy going into college and beyond. Ultimately I forgot the quote itself but that same philosophy remained. Well today, I rediscovered it completely on accident and found out Grovyle says it in a game I completely overlooked as a kid. My world is shook. I swear, I'm not sure I'm just 14 again and this is deep or if some of the quotes in these games were written by Socrates Plato and Aristotle.
explorers of sky has the best soundtrack outta all the pokemon games i’ve played. i especially love the song at the beginning when grovyle is taking dusknoir back to the future
It was emotional to the very end. This was the best mystery dungeon game in my opinion because the game actually feels like it's pushing itself for depth, and does it well. Sure, it's a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game of all things, and it may not be no dialogue masterpiece, and DEFINITELY has it's flaws but the game feels like you're going on a rollercoaster of emotions once the future plot takes effect, and the thing now turns from a kiddie game to real to an extent. This special episode starts the car for the emotional road trip with the theme of "We're all going to die, but must accept it." It's why I absolutely hate the ending of this. It's like a Disney movie where at the end it just says "No wait! It's for kids!" If it ended at the part where they die and the future and all is restored, it would've had a lot more of an impact and meaning when Grovyle stated "The important thing is not how long you live. It's what you accomplish with your life" But it is what it is, that's just life. Still though, I love this game to death.
This game has a bunch of stuff that's not for kids, Dusknoir was going to melt away Grovyle's consciousness and WEAR his body! What if the kid had a vivid imagination? That would be a horrifying scene! Again, NOT for kids!
Not to mention that Dusknoir tried to slash you to death in the stockholds. If you were still human in that part, you would die a lot quicker than Grovyle and your partner due to the decreased tolerance to pain and injury.
The PMD2 series and this episode in particular is pure gold in terms of storyline, messages, music and general gameplay. Anyone who hasn't played it is missing out on tons.
Grovyle learned alot and changed his timeline, after saving his timeline arceus saw good in it and made sure it stays that way, that the heroes of the mess and all inhabitants remain... but the one thing I can't overcome is the fact that even when celebi is close to fading away she actually cried... happiness of spending the last of her supposed time with her crush
I love how Dusknoir gets to redeem himself. He is a victim of the dark future, and is a good Pokémon at heart. It’s a shame you and the partner never saw this, and that he, Grovyle and Celebi would be OK.
As a boy, Mystery Dungeon made me feel emotion like never before, and coming back after all these years later, due to Werster and other pokemone speedrunners, I had forgotten how wonderfully made Mystery Dungeon was, the story, gameplay, soundtracks, all were unlike anything I had ever experienced, other than Ace Combat, I still am hit hard by how good this is. Thank you, what a time to be alive.
Out of all the games I’ve ever played, the dialogue and plot of this game still stays no.1 in my heart... When I compare games, I never compare it to PMD, since no game can ever replicate the immersion I felt, no game can make me so invested in the characters... AND NO GAME CAN MATCH THE SOUNDTRACK OF THIS GAME (Well, Zelda can, but coupled with story, PMD’s soundtrack is best)
This game is pure perfection . Most of you might disagree with me but my favorite charachter is dusknoir for how he redeems at the end. I think this special episode (the best one in my opinion) developed his character more than grovyle' s.
they should make a sequel to sky. I know they came out with newer pmd games, but imo this one had the best plot and the development between the characters is amazing. best game I've ever played when it comes to a great plot and story and u can just feel the emotion from the characters. I shed a few tears in this game tbh. makes me wanna play this game again...
Silver74 omg.. a prequel to this.. Imagine it being set before the planet was paralyzed, maybe not even reveal that until the last chapter or something. And then for the first time in a Mystery Dungeon game, there is no good ending. The planet is doomed to be paralyzed if it’s a prequel, there is no happy ending. Wow, I’d love this
This game is just phenomenal. The theme of time and the way PMD2 answers a question of "What if time stopped in the world?" is truly phenomenal. It's a proof that there are many things out there in the real world that we take for granted, the sunlight, the sunrise/sunset, the calm breezes, and even the rain and thunderstorms that add variety to our days, and many other things we do not appreciate that much and take for granted. This game is an absolute masterpiece. I only started playing Pokemon since Pokemon Sun as I never bought a DS earlier because I didn't like 2d graphics, but this game? Who cares if it's 2d, I absolutely loved it and I can say with confidence that is was a masterpiece. I do not have any flaws to even point at this game, the good things and the storyline masterpiece just erase what could be considered bad things. I'd forget this game if I could just so I can play it all over again and experience this phenomenal story
How stupid I was as a child almost never bothering to mind the special episodes. For the longest time, the fate of grovyle and celebi was left a mystery. I thought it was the most tragic part of the game, being separated from the main duo through time and space, never seeing each other again. Thank goodness I chose to play these episodes out of boredom that one day in my childhood.
I like how in the very end dusknoir was never a bad guy, he didn't want to die but grovyle showed him that there are things beyond just you. Dusknoir went down a damn fine hero😴
While the main story's finale made me cry on my first run of this game, when Sky wasn't out and I still played Time, this ending was the thing that made me tear up really really hard on my Sky run. Not that the finale didn't as well. God this game is just so epic.
But wait I’m curious he says he doesn’t have the power necessary to stop us from fading but in canon he’s said to travel throughout time and can even travel back in time so doesn’t that mean he would be able to revert time to how it once was as well as their bodies or is that really not in his range of capabilities
Well he did disappear due to time being corrupted and the others did to but arceus the god of pokemon who created Dialga was able to make the timeline normal again. In simple terms time became to corrupted for Dialga so he died and the others but arceus corrected time again and they lived. However in another timeline in that game since time was altered the charmander character (forgot his name) disappeared but Dialga (who's not dead and time wasn't as corrupted) he made an exception to bring the charmander character back. So yes he can but if time is collapsing out of his reach then the being above him (arceus) has to intervene and save the timeline.
@@B1tcharp ahhh ok ok that makes much more sense cause I was gonna bring that up as well how in the main story he brought us back thanx also favorite Pokémon in general and favorite Pokémon duo in mystery dungeon and why
Go I got a freaken wonky theory. What if the Duskull at the bank is actually Dusknoir. Like, we dont know when Future of Darkness exists. It could be a year after TTower collapse or it could be 10 years who knows lol. Maybe Duskull the banker is the younger version of Dusknoir LOL
I actually wonder one thing about this game, where is Palkia during all of this? Does Dialga brutally murder Palkia in its enraged and empowered Primal state?
Are you just listing the legendaries from all the games? Because if you took the time and played it you would know that all of them are in the game with the exception of Gen 5 and 6 legendaries
Wow, just wow. This game has been my childhood. I've played it from the start after finishing it like 3 or 4 times it's that good! It made me really, deeply sad when Grovyle disappeared and the cutscene at the end where the main character returns was also tear jerking. I'm just hoping and praying that they make remakes of Explorers of Time, Sky and Darkness on the 3DS. If they do, I don't care how much it costs I'll buy it! The music along with the story makes this an exceptional and emotionally wrecking game in my book and I'm sure a lot of people will agree. It would be awesome if they can make a portal to teleport between the past and the future and go on from there onwards. I have a question though : I have a strong feeling that Grovyle and Celebi might be in love ? lol. Overall one of the best games i've played, if not the best.
I'd rather have a sprite-based remaster/ re-release With extra save slots, more Special episodes, and fixing some of the meh writing in some parts of this game
There kind of is a reality subtext to this special episode when you realize that Sky is longtime translator of the games - been there since the original Red and Blue - Nob Ogasawara's farewell note to the series (he, a freelance contractor, was released from the Pokemon Company's service when TPC moved to an in-house localization team starting with HGSS).
The part where dusknoir asked grovyle if his life shined... this game was pure perfection from start to finish.
I thought it did. None of that was really his fault when you think about it he just made mistakes
Tears, man

That first scene with the portal is even more emotional with a Treecko as your partner.
Words cannot describe how intense it must be for someone almost the same as you, just older, asking you to step up and take their place because they can't come back from what they need to do. Grovyle asked Treecko to be as strong as his own evolution. And he was.
In Mystery dungeon 1, I was treecko and when Grovlye appeared, I actually thought it was my Grovlye from md 1.
I have replayed it after years in July and was a treecko. Knowing how it would end, it was even sadder.
EdgedPixel I was a treecko and I made my character learn dig for grovyle. ;A; the feels ;w;

Absolutely, I 100% agree

Arceus had some feels and saved everyone.
No, I think thats the power of your partner in the game
that's definitely arceus
TheTerribleGamer it was actually past dialga who bought them back coz when the past changed the future . You,grovyle and future Pokemon must disappear but dialga sensed your partners cry and how broken your partner was abt u dying. So dialga revived u and that cause all future Pokemon to be revived in the changed timeline
Kartik Pillai dialga stated a being higher than him, arceus is the only one higher than dialga who could posibly to that
if that were true then arceus should have done something abt the future being paralyzed in the first place like helping grovyle and main character(at least stop dialga and dusknoir from messing around) in the quest of saving the world.. just being higher than dialga wouldnt be good at all if the world is what it was in the future.
i cried for the greatest villain of all the time, respect to you dusknoir :'(, don't worry, you shined to us

The Mystery Dungeon games always hit me in the feels like a ton of bricks... excuse my while I go cry again.
a falcon punch to the feels
And a heck tonna "hey hey" too, hey hey!

They hit my feels in the nuts with a wrecking ball. Explorers of Sky is that good
"H-help me... I... I... feeling...."
I never cried that much in a game... This and the main storline were beautiful... And the message they give is fascinating.
I think out of all the games Nintendo has made this is the one with the thickest story and plot
I was literally sobbing throughout this whole episode
Same for when I first played it... it has quite the impact, doesn't it?
Damn this got me more in the feels than the main story line... They really need to make more main Pokemon games like this! I absolutely love the Mystery Dungeon games for their AMAZING storyline
Then Super PMD came out, and everyone cringed in unison.
Elijah Budd Whaaaaatt i loved super mystery dungeon. Oh well, each to their own I guess
"grovyle, please tell me... my life... did it shine...?"
Not only that but dusknoir probably also thought he was the hero because he was saving the lives of all the future pokemon.
He died a hero.
Dusknoir did nothing wrong
Honestly wished that Grovyle and the others had visited the hero and partner in the past after the main story

The entire dynamic between grovyle and dusknoir in this entire special episode is fantastic and offers perhaps the most wanted level of closure to all fans of the original games, best addition to pokemon eos
Dialga torturing dusknoir... That showdown in the climax... Yup, the saying that pokemon is childish has just on been mercilessly obliterated IMO!!
HeavyDonkeyKong the ironic part is that grovyle thought the fight would be 3 to 1 against him(Dialga, Dusknoir, and mentioned henchman), but in the end, it was 3 to 1 against Dialga(Grovyle, Dusknoir, and Celebi)

It’s astounding how much emotion was conveyed and captured in this game without the presence of audible voices. My favourite game story by far.
Still gets me.... greatest Pokémon game easily for me. Probably my favorite story of anything.
That ending...
These kind of games have really beautiful stories, something that has been really lacking in recent pokemon games... I really wish in explorers of sky, you were able to visit the future back and forth from the past.
I would've paid 200 bucks for that and still be satisfied.
Omg i would LOVE that too... i REALLY would like to meet Grovyle again
They remade Rescue Team, they'll probsbly remake Explorers of Sky.
No, it's past Dialga, not Arceus, it's a mistake
Well my bad, i understand now. Just after the credit in the main story when past Dialga "Give the future" to your partner, he scream towards the sky. I believe there he is calling for Arceus
Torterra A possible theory is that Arceus is Darkrai which is also the character you play as, its complicated actually but there is a theory about it
It's actually interesting. Arceus is the only one of the 493 Pokemon in the game to appear and be implied to exist, but never be encountered physically or be recruited. I like this for Arceus. It just shows how it's impossible to recruit GOD, like it's supposed to be.
Thanks for doing this. I've been wondering if someone would do this sooner or later with the game.

I'm all choked up. This just gave me major feels.
I wanna cry, I'm so happy.
It's always sad when they disappear, and then when they come back, for some reason, it makes it feel great but also so sad as well.
Pardon me, my eyes are sweating.
It was fucking fantastic.
it makes me sad because they are alive but still can’t come back to see the player.
seeing the part where grovyle shields the player always gets to me because it reminds me of how the player originally shields grovyle from darkrai.
It was truly... extraordinary.
wow
If only the heart was used in pokemon again nowadays.

The perfect conclusion for a perfect game.
"When I came to this planet, I saw the sunrise for the very first time; and I felt the beauty of life surrounding me as far as the eye could see. In the future, we've all lost our desire to live, but if we could somehow change the world of darkness, I'd risk my life for it."
"Protect the sunrise, for everyone's sake." -Grovyle
"Is this the morning sun...? I had no idea, a world in which the sun rises... It is so beautiful. The sun, I had no idea it could be this warm." -Celebi
The first two from Grovyle are from the anime episode, and the last one is from Celebi.
This story shouldn't be just played, but understood. It's a wonderful message about how to live.
"Mudkip and Dan" I love the names, Personally I used Mudkip and Chris in my major save file.
I didn’t fucking know about this

“While I live I want to shine,I want to prove that I exist.”
Yes,what life truly means.
Before I play this, I completely clear my entire item storage, making this my final challenge for the game after I defeat Darkrai and claim the Seven Treasures. It's a really great way to bring the game back to its roots.

This is really good dialogue. Why cant the people writing the dub for the anime be this good?
Sometimes I wish they made this into an anime.
@@esteban8471 The Pokemon Anime has absolutely terrible dialogue that sounds like it was written by someone who doesn't know how to write.

The anime series is catered to mostly children and is expected to air for more than 2 years (3 years sometimes). As long as it's not mega cringe and is funny most of the time - something that works well for Pokemon - it is good enough for most people.
I felt extra dark (and outside of cringe categories) series would work best in contained short series like Colloseum or Mystery Dungeon.

Years after playing the game I never knew this episode existed because I played Time not Sky. This is beautiful
It's for kids!"
If it ended at the part where they die and the future and all is restored, it would've had a lot more of an impact and meaning when Grovyle stated
"The important thing is not how long you live. It's what you accomplish with your life"
But it is what it is, that's just life. Still though, I love this game to death.
A Stale Churro the ending is irrelevant to me it doesn't take away any morality away from the story and it's characters the game is still beautiful
YEAH! J S knows what I'm talkin' about!
Nina Peguerra EXACTLY! 😄
As of this writing, it is Sky's 10th anniversary in Japan.
I like how Celebi's mugshot in the ending is like: :,,,,,,(
And Grovyle's is just: :|
Neverthless, I love it.
The main story is amazing, but this... its perfect
The Itachi of Pokemon Grovyle
While the main story's finale made me cry on my first run of this game, when Sky wasn't out and I still played Time, this ending was the thing that made me tear up really really hard on my Sky run. Not that the finale didn't as well.
God this game is just so epic.
This has way better story than any of the main Pokemon games
51:42 "A being higher than myself" I already know who that being is.
Fuck. as if the game didn't make me cry enough
TheJuan1138 Palkia is in its own dimension just chilling out.
ashutosh panda Mewtwo challenges you post game.
TheJuan1138 Palkia is part of the post game story
Groundon also exists as uxie made an illusion of him that would mean he does exist in that world in order for uxie to make an illusion of him
Wow, just wow.
I like to consider this the TRUE ending, mostly cuz grovyle is cool :)
BBman256 it is the true ending tho. It happened while we beat primal dialga.
I can't watch this without tearing up.
