The concept as playing as villlains is cool and stuff and I like how they add a different character each season and stuff but I don’t like that you play on the same map it would be cool if they change the map

He's still "free", but they are shady as fuck for implementing this kinda tactic. He should be available at the get go, no need for this stupid grind.
I thought they were going to do a Fallout 76 style update (that game has gotten A LOT better in recent years) where they would give you Joker as a playable character from the start and you would get brand new story missions (nothing too long, just a nice 5 hour side story, like how Fallout 76's America's Playground update did it last month where they added in a brand new quest line with tons of story which lasted about 5 hours) and then when that was done you can play random incursion missions.. But NOPE, instead they threw Joker behind a multi hour grind fest, NO story (outside of that two minute opening animated scene with Joker and a few new lines of dialogue afterwards that I can't even remember. Aside from that, NO story of any type afterwards) and you have to keep grinding in random incursion missions over and over till you are allowed to fight Braniac to rescue Joker. I don't like this. Anyway, I'm grinding at the "Laugh Riot" incursion missions, over and over and over and over, since that seems to be the easiest and fastest way to grind. It's super repetitive (ULTRA repetitive), but it's an effective method for me. Also, "Killing Time" is my secondary incursion that I go to when i get fed up with having to do "laugh riot" over and over and need a break from it. Some of the other incursions like High Roller felt way freaking harder than they normally are and take longer so I stay away from High Roller and some of the others. Overall, I find this season 1 very annoying (this isn't good) and I hope season 2 is a lot better than this.
Yh this is not happening they should have done it like marvel avengers you do a quick mission or story content and unlock the joker or who ever it is no one wants to play repeatable bullshit recycled content to unlock a character let’s all face it season 1 failed we should all uninstall this game a it should die I have had enough the only good content in this game was the story and the gameplay everything else sucks they should have added story missions but no they are lazy
Can we still get the half burned version of the Arkham joker skin?? I noticed the skins are discounted and the the original price is 200 less then it originally was so maybe they just took the burned version away from the joker and Haley skins
They have confirmed that every future character they add will be free. But obviously you're going to have to play the game 💀. They aren't just gonna give it to you lol

Some people are saying they can’t use the joker after getting him I was stuck as well but I figured it out so I’m here to help y’all ok so after you get him you’re going to have to quit the session you’re in once you do click on the character you are playing as and it should say to change to a different character and boom the joker is right there
@Srq975 not for me. The game won't register that he is bought. So he just stays loading in my squad and when I go to hit play, I just get a black screen. Long story short, I can't play the game at all because of it.

You misunderstood, your characters can be any level, your episode rank has to be 35 to enter the first of two new brainiac fights, the first one you rescue the joker in, you level this up grinding the elseworld/incursion missions, it doesn’t take as long as this guy said if you work smart, there’s an incursion or two that take a few minutes and rank you up one each time, a few hours of grinding with a good build, and skipping through menus and it’s not too hard tbh

Lmao at this point this is just funny. You don't have to rank every character up to level 35. Just the progress bar at the top of the map menu get the orange number to 35.

@@big_von6232 I did that and joker is invisible in the jail cell when I switch to him the Joker model don’t even show up when you switch so instead you’re using Deadshot model instead of joker model it weird
Which ranking does your infinite crisis have to be on before the seasonal content is usable because what I load mine up it tells me brainiac has already been defeated on both and I have been played the fear episode yet
for me it just stsrted working. i can go to "the nexus" an just swap to episode 1 fear and play it. off course i completed the story for finite crisis. im at invation level +3 if it helps
@ go to the nexus section on the play menu and it should give you an option to hit your triggers r2 or rt depending on system then hold a or x to select the one you want
If you have a good build I’d recommend doing killin’ time incursion get to level 30 in that then quit and repeat it’ll take about 6 incursions to get to level 35 to unlock the joker! Happy joking everybody
If your going through the same glitch as me where he doesn’t load in and is invisible or it’s just stuck on a black screen all you gotta do to fix that is, start the game with the orginal four hero’s, Then go into “looks” and scroll over to joker, then go to “enhanced traversal” and equip his umbrella, then go to the hall of justice and to your right there will be a jail cell, go there and swap him in.
8 hours is a bit extreme, some people are getting it done in 3-4 from the “laugh riot” incursion

Killing time seems to be doing the trick for because when I get to a higher level then exit my level up for episode rank increases I'm at level 17
