I’ve been pxg since gen 1 and I’ve always said that the hybrids are the best pxg clubs they make. I now have a 2, 4,5, and 6 hybrid and P model irons from 7-pw. Absolutely love them, especially the 6 hybrid. Fantastic performance
I would love to see a video comparing the 0311 17° set at 18° vs the 0311XF 19° set at 18°. Now that there is both a toe and heel weight, this opens up more options for fade/draw bias. I have been using a GEN 4 17° hybrid set at 18° for a couple years now but would be interested in the extra forgiveness of the XF head.
Hey Andy. You’re right on the money with this video. I put a pxg 5 hybrid in my bag years ago. It replaces my 4 & 5 iron depending on what I put into it. I’ve since added a stealth 4 hybrid. Most days if I’m carrying I add a driver 6, 8, 48, 56 and putter.. it’s enough clubs and keeps it light.
Liked & Sub I like your delivery and approach. This is timely for me. Several years ago at my best I was a 2 hcp. Now, after about 15 years and 2 kids I'm coming back to the game I grew up with and completely rethinking my bag. I also recently went to a PXG store to test some clubs as well as a PGA Superstore. The experience was like night and day. Such a professional approach at PXG using different shafts and lie angles to address my ball flight (they took the time). At 5'8" I've always played my irons at 2 degrees flat. I've also always believed in custom fitting and this is what you get at PXG. As I rebuild my game and bag, it will be filled with PXG. I'd put a hybrid (17 degree) in my bag when they first hit the market. It's the club I have the most confidence in and I can hit it from anywhere. I've been thinking of doing the same and dropping the 5 iron. This helped me make that decision, as I was on the fence about that one. Thanks!
I recently got fitted for the gen 6 4 hybrid and it was fantastic one of the best I've tried. It helps that the fittings are so detailed in tweeking things to help optimise the performance. Since gen 4 I've become a real fan of PXG. Atm I'm having trouble whether to go for the pxg gen 6 or the cobra king tec
I did a lot of research and now have the PXG 25,28 and 31 which replaces my traditional lofted 4,5 and 6 irons respectively. I have the stock 12.5 grams in the tow and 2 gram in the heel and they just go straight with a slight fade for me. Also you are dead on about swinging them easy. They just go high and land soft. The game is so much easier now with this technology. They are not hook machines like all older hybrids were. I started with the 28 then bought the 31 and now have the 25 to bridge the gap between my 0311XF 22 degree 7 wood. I now have a consistent long game from form 165 out to about 195 between the 4 clubs. Point and shoot easy and confidence with these clubs. No BS here they work and all of them can go a lot further if I want to but an easy lazy swing with them is all i need and use.
Very inspiring assessment of adding more hybrids to my bag. I'm planning on doing so soon with a full bag fitting of the PXG Gen 6 clubs after playing the Gen 2 clubs for 5 years. Thank you Andy!
Great chat my man…… you’re always wearing some impressive clobber….. ordered the gen 6 XF hybrid looks stunning….. I have the Gen 6 0311 driver wow it’s a game changer quite frankly….. never driven it so straight…. Feels so confident over the ball….. loving it……
Andy, I just read the comments about this being a PXG infomercial!! That was pretty funny😂😂😂😂 I’ve commented before on the channel about my progression for the last 30 years in terms of my preferences in golf clubs. Mizuno used to be my iron brand for feel which is important to me, but lately I’ve come to love the performance of taylormade and especially cobra irons and woods. Just a month or so ago I took the plunge and bought a Sunday set of pxg 0311 P gen 3 for $99 a stick and have to say that they are outstanding. Liked them so much that I scored a Gen 4 set on eBay to try out and actually this morning just ordered a 0317 CB 4 iron to test. I now get you!! Can’t argue with the performance and especially the feel I get out of these clubs. I’m not getting on the hybrid bandwagon just yet. But I don’t fault you for being a PXG aficionado!! Cheers.
So, apparently, its only when one expresses a critical or negative opinion,is a club review honest and legitimate, but if one’s comments are favorable and even enthusiastic, it’s a commercial? Just keep producing the honest, engaging and helpful postings as you have always done!
This is so accurate and something I have stated before, the only form of honesty people want is negativity and as you state positivity towards a product is deemed to be influenced in some way. I do realise that most people, like yourself are regular viewers of the channel and have a more balanced approach, thanks for support
I saw your video on lighter shafts and shorter shafts in terms of a driver for older golfers wh already have senior flex shafts. It was very thought provoking and made great sense. After watching your previous videos on 7 woods, Heaven woods and now the 5 & 4 hybrids, what are your thoughts on shaft weight and shaft flex for those clubs as opposed to driver and whether those shafts should be the same as one's driver or heavier with a stiffer flex.
I'm in the 0211, with 4 and 6 hybrids. Only two simulator rounds on them so far, (first real round of the season is this Sunday), but well pleased with them thus far.
Given your criteria, I would certainly include the Wilson C300 hybrids. They have had good reviews due to their great shape, adjustable hosel and two weight ports, and the urethane inserts offer great feel and distance. I use the #3/20 (in windy conditions) and the #4/23 stays in the bag.
As a senior player(68) who only took the game up last August I was finding the 3 wood an absolute bugger off the deck. I've replaced it with a Callaway Big Bertha 4 hybrid. Good from a low tee and a treat from the light rough and fairways. Life's to short to struggle.
I’ve been using the 4 and 5 hybrids since Taylormade started making Rocket Ballz hybrids. The hybrids just make the game easier. Something I think we’re all looking for when we are checking out new clubs. I’m 69 years old and I watch my golf buddies struggle with their 4 and 5 irons. I hope their traditional golf idea’s won’t let them change because I love taking their money
Picked up PXG 0211 3 & 4 hybrids earlier this year and they're absolute weapons on par 5's and long par 4's (except on days I'm busy shooting myself in the foot). About to replace my 5 iron with a hybrid as well.
Awesome breakdown mate! I have the 4 hybrid but in the Proto so several generations back and it is awesome I could pull it and drop it anywhere ever since I put it in the bag so the big difference here is I have the GEN 5 Fairway Wood which I never got along with so strongly considering changing that to a hybrid but I do have the GEN 5 3Wood which I really enjoy and just picked up the GEN 6 driver Thank you for confirming my thoughts of including more hybrid. I will do that soon.
Been playing the Cobra F7 4 hybrid since it came out. Love that club but it's time for an upgrade. Got fitted for the Gen6 O311XF today and it's a great club. As much as I love my Cobra this is much easier to hit. Probably just a bit longer than my Cobra but I wasn't looking for distance anyway. Where it really shines is the forgiveness on misses. It's night and day compared to my old one. Nothing against Cobra, it was a great club at the time but 8 years is a long time.
Thank you for an informative video. I too have structure with my 4 and 5 irons. Seriously though they have Jacked the lofts on all these clubs today. I know you love PXG. But I'm a budget golfer. While doing some research. I discovered the Adams hybrids and woods. I know they are hard to come by. But I tried them, and found they worked great for me and my game. I'd really be interested if you couldn't find another brand to compete with those Hybrids? Ping, TaylorMade are 2 that come to mind, that might give that Hybrid a run for its money. Oh and don't forget about Sub 70. They make one of the highest rated hybrids on the market, at a budget cost, even with custom fitting. Please give your viewers some comparison testing, to see if something else can win a spot in your bag. Thanks again, keep up the good work, cheers.
Andy, I am one of those who is slightly irregular with a hybrid. I had a 4 hybrid in the bag but have switched to the equivalent lofted 7-wood and couldn't be happier. Much more consistent and easier for me to work the ball in the various windows. It is a 21 degree but it has begun to encroach on my 5 wood so I may have to loft it up a touch.
Hi Andy. I changed my bag last year with help of my coach. I'm now playing a 5 hybrid then irons 6 and up. My club after the 5h is my 7 wood lofted down. I would be interested to see how your 7w compares to your 4h (assuming you have a 7w in your current set up)?
Same here, 6 irons is my longest iron in the bag, hit than 150 carry, then a 6 hybrid Mizuno fli-hi, 4 hybrid ping g425 and another 4 hybrid TM stealth plus which is like a bullet. Can’t be more happy with this setup. Still have a 5 iron in reserve but only for a perfect summer day.
I had the TM Rescue hybrids for years (17/18 yrs?) and really enjoyed them but decided I need to upgrade. I was fitted for the G430 5 hybrid last year and it went well during the fitting but I can’t get on with it now! I can’t stop pushing or fading it and the shot shape does not match the shape I get with my G430 SFT fairways! I want it to draw the ball like my TM Rescues used to.
I have a 22 degree m4, 25 TaylorMade m1, and a 28 degree tour edge hybrid, I only carry an 8,9, pitching wedge, gap wedge, sand wedge and a 60 degree wedge, and I have been playing the best golf of my life with this setup for 3 years!!⛳⛳⛳⛳
The longest iron I have in my bag is a 6. I then step into a 3 hybrid and then a 3-wood. The 6-iron is a 200-yard club so I don't know that I have any extra room for another hybrid. It looks amazing though!
I switched to 4, 5, and 6 left handed Tour Edge E522 hybrids about 6 months ago which has helped my game. I’ve been thinking about adding a 7 hybrid to my bag but not many manufacturers make left handed 7 hybrids. I had been considering the PXG 31 degree (7 iron loft) lefty hybrid and based upon your video have decided to pull the trigger and buy one.
Hi Andy, I picked up a 25 deg 0211 hybrid along with the 0311 xf driver when the put the sale on late last season haven't had a chance to game it yet and have only dabbled with hitting hybrids but plan to put it into action this season. 👍
Hey Andy….. More and more my bag is starting 2 look just like yours ! LOL! I ended up going Paradigm hybrids, but the 3 and the 5 have changed everything in my game. Thanks 4 your encouragement….. I find myself using my 5 hybrid more than any other club these days into most green ! LOL!
I have a wide variety of hybrids! current 5H @ 24° is a Cobra Speedzone, 4H @ 22° is a Taylormade RBZ. I was using the 3H @ 19° (RBZ) I switched it for a 5W set @ 19.5° Cobra Speedzone and a Cobra Amp Cell 3-4W set at 16° (4W setting). these cover the 180 yards to 220 yard range effectively.
Great review Andy....I am in the market for a 3W and Hybrid, probably Callaway for the 3W but really like the look of the Gen 6 XF hybrid....as you said, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...Thank-you
I too switched to hybrids( ping G410 4 hybrid and ping G425 5 hybrid) and I love them. I am also thing about ditching my 6 iron ( I have PXG 0211 XCore2 irons 6 through pitching wedge) for the 6 hybrid
I'm a 12 hcap golfer and swear by the hybrid concept. I strike the ball well, but lack the club head speed that I used to have 20 years ago. Like you And, I use PXG, but the 0211 version, a 19 & 25 degree. Gives me the distance I'm looking for at the top end, but also the height of shot that a long iron can't give me. That said, I still carry a 5 iron, to give me the lower flight running trajectory too.
I replaced my 4 & 5 irons with a 3 & 4 hybrid two years ago. I was fitted for PXG 0211 DC irons 6-GW last year. When I'm not hitting the 6i very well, I grip down on the 4 hybrid.
Not many will beat those PXGs hybrids with long irons. Those were some great hits. 25 degree hybrid sounds like a nice high-flighted loft. I have a 20 degree hybrid, and I would add a 25 degree for high-launch shots.
my longest iron is a 7. The days of me hiting long irrons accurately ended about 6 years ago. At the start of last year I finally accpeted that I was no longer in my 20's and swinging a club like speed gonzales. I now have more headcovers in my bag. I get funny looks from the randoms I play with at my club, but when I pull out the Mizzuno JPX Fli Hi 6 hybdrid and hit the green on the 180yd par 3 almost every time they all ask the same quesiton, "what the hell did you hit there !!!" The usual aks that after they are hacking their way out of greenside bunker :) The switch to hybrids has shaved another 5 strokes off my handicap, was playing off a 22 at the end of last summer and am now playing off a 17.3. I reckon I'll be down to 10 by the end of this year as the hydrids are just so much easier to swing and control.
I suppose you have to promote the clubs you had fitted which is your right and god bless you but as you explain how good your new found weapon has transformed your faith in whatever I guess all I can say to that is thank you for your opinion. On the other hand I use 2 hybrids. One is a Taylormade which replaces my 3 wood & iron. The other hybrid ia a Wilson which replaces my 4 & 5 irons. I also use the Wilson to chip on to the green from the fringes especially hard surface ground on 1st/ 2nd cut grass ranging from as close as 2m upto as long as 20 or more metres. They are beautiful clubs to me but more importantly they perform magnificently. All of my irons are callaways XHots which today are still as good as when I first got them. The wedges are a mixed bag of Affinity AFS 56, Cleveland 52 and a Ping 60 degree's.
I have a pxg gen 5 driver and 5 wood. Thinking of buying the 5 hybrid. Is this better than the Cleveland launcher hybrid. I like the custom fitting process. Thank you
Thanks for the information! I have the gen 5 hybrid. Really like it. How does the gen 5 compare to the gen 6? Outside of the matte black vs. grey color on the crown… Thanks Andy👊🏻
Andy I am curious if you replaced the 4i and 5i with a 4 and 5 hybrids? I have typically found when using hybrids as a replacement for an iron that I have to chose one that is a club lower than the iron I replace. In other words I replace a 5i with a 6 hybrid. Do you tend to find that as well?
Hybrids I have - 3 Cleveland Halo Launcher, 4 - Callaway Rouge ST Max, 5 - Ping 425. I got rid of my 3,4,5,6. Only irons I have is 7 - SW. The game is so much more fun and where it's not easy, it's definitely easier. So now I have 160 - 200 yards covered. Why didn't I do this years ago? Simple pride. Now the game is fun again... and my scores are improving.
Carry 5 hybrid and 5 iron. Gaps well with set up. Iron flies lower. Works for me. 170-185 yard shots. Oldest club in bag Titleist 818 in 25 degrees. Tensei Blue. With fade bias weight. 3.9 hcp.
The average golfer finally playing clubs all average golfers should. I've been playing 6 - 3 hybrid for close to a decade. I'm on a 11 hc . Hybrids rule.
I've got a 5 iron in the bag then I'm down to a 3 hybrid, I'm thinking of getting a 4 hybrid or knocking my 3 up into a 4 and getting a 2 hybrid, I think I'm ditching, woods and having hybrids, and driver my 3 is a mizuno clk 2020, and I was getting 215 carry, I was using it off the tee last round as it was more accurate than my driver and about 15-30 yards shorter if I hit my driver well
I agree I have Ping 4 & 5 hybrids then 7 & 5 woods which cover those tricky distances well for me. I’ve also got a Ping Rapture 13 deg 3 wood which fills the gap to my driver and can be used well off tee and fairway, the smaller 219cc head size makes it better off the turf than a mini driver. This gives me lots of options off tee and turf.
MMMMM very interested in the 2 wood thats at 13 degrees compared to the Taylormade BRNR Mini Driver 13.5 degrees would love to see that comparison cheers from Vulcan Alberta
I went to a 5 hybrid a few years ago-- and it is now a weapon. Do you ever break out the 5 iron on really windy days (sort of like the debate of using a 3 hybrid instead of a 5 wood)?
What’s the advantage of the 4 and 5 hybrid over a 5 and 7 fairway wood? Also my irons end at 6 iron and then I have a four hybrid and 3 wood, neither of which I hit consistently. I’m just trying to figure out what direction to go.
Can you do a pxg vs paradym irons and hybrids? I am interested in new clubs but would have to travel a good distance to get fit for the pxg’s so if pxg stands out i will make the trek
Put the ping 425 6 and 7 hybrid in the bag for fun. Pretty good. And just received the 8-9-pw from eleven golf which are hybrids. U need to review eleven golf.
Andy, I dont know why all the PXG haters are picking on your selections as I have always found you to be a very honest reviewer (just trolls coming out from under the bridge I suppose...dont let them get to you as they will surely turn to stone when the sun shines on them). Personally I am back and forth on the 5 iron or 5 hybrid as I have both and keep switchong them in and out..I am using eiither my T300 5 iron or my TSR 5 hybrid ss Titleost enlarged the size of the new TSR hybrids to help with both forgiveness as well as helping to not go left so easily. Keep up the great work and play well sir!
Another great video. Believe it or not, I play to a 5 handicap but have 20+ year old Callaway heaven wood hybrids 5h-7h replacing the equivalent irons. I too don't understand why more golfers won't consider playing hybrids.....even down to the 7 hybrid. They are so much easier to hit and bc of that, your confidence scores while your scores drop.
Great video, Andy. Ignore the haters; almost all TH-cam golfers I have watched have their favorite brands. Those haters will have something negative to say no matter what because they are miserable with their lives. I have the PXG 0311 XF GEN 6 driver and the Battle Ready 2 Bat Attack putter, and I 15:12 love them. Getting fitted for the 0311 P Gen 6 or 0317 T irons this week.
Andy you are reading my mind! I'm going to get the 0211 hybrid and the 7wood. I don't think you can beat the price and performance. I can hit maybe 2 out 10 great shots with my 5 iron, 0211 also.
What, no data Andy? It would have been good to see you also hit your previous favourite from last year as a comparison (just a couple of shots......). Also, why the 4 hybrid instead of 7 Wood which you have also been very positive on? I always enjoy your stuff and respect your opinions.
@@TheAverageGolfer I know it’s primarily a 5 hybrid test Andy but at around 14.08 you hit the 4 hybrid. You have also been a big advocate of 7 wood, hence my question.
Paradym hybrids look nicer to my eye but we are all unique & play with what we like 😁 I thought you switched to Ping g425 hybrids & 7w in the past? I own 5i but carry only to 6i going into hybrids & 7w
I love PXG irons and I play with the 0311 gen 3 along with the 0811 driver. The only club i don't like from PXG is the hybrid. Maybe then Gen 6 are better but they were not great in the past.
I have the 5 and 6 hybrids of these. My irons start at 7. I play off 9. I get laughed/scoffed at by most people I play with...until they tally up the score ;o)
I carry two hybrids 22⁰ and 26⁰ which replaced my 4 and 5 irons. far more consistent now. I would imagine most golfers ego won't let them even consider a 5h but I would tell anyone to atleast try one and make a decision based on results
You need a good bit of club head speed to properly launch the ball with one. I had a teaching pro tell me low 90s minimum, that’s the average golfers driver head speed…..
I’ve been pxg since gen 1 and I’ve always said that the hybrids are the best pxg clubs they make. I now have a 2, 4,5, and 6 hybrid and P model irons from 7-pw. Absolutely love them, especially the 6 hybrid. Fantastic performance

I have been using a GEN 4 17° hybrid set at 18° for a couple years now but would be interested in the extra forgiveness of the XF head.

Yep the comments never fail to amaze me and why PXG get so much stick I don’t know, anyway, you got a great deal with the GEN03’s!
My PXG 0211 22 degree hybrid is my favorite club in my bag. Average Golfer is right on with his suggestions.
So, apparently, its only when one expresses a critical or negative opinion,is a club review honest and legitimate, but if one’s comments are favorable and even enthusiastic, it’s a commercial? Just keep producing the honest, engaging and helpful postings as you have always done!

They do look smart! I changed my 4i and 5i for hybrids 2 years ago and it was the best decision I've made in years.
Hi Andy, recently got fitted for the Gen 5 P irons 6-PW, on Friday I’m going to be fit for Gen 6 PXG woods and hybrids, can’t wait.
I got a 5 hybrid a few years ago and loved it, best club in the bag. I've just got a 6 hybrid and it's just ridiculously easy to hit
Dude 200 yard 6 iron 😳
lol 200 6 iron😂
I switched to 4, 5, and 6 left handed Tour Edge E522 hybrids about 6 months ago which has helped my game. I’ve been thinking about adding a 7 hybrid to my bag but not many manufacturers make left handed 7 hybrids. I had been considering the PXG 31 degree (7 iron loft) lefty hybrid and based upon your video have decided to pull the trigger and buy one.
How did the 7h treat you ? I just found a used one to replace my 7 iron since I’m in the same left handed boat as you.
@@STorm_Trooper I love the PXG 7 hybrid. It’s one of my favorite clubs
@@schlatz2786 thanks !
These do look really nice Andy, been on the fence about where to go for hybrid this year and you may have made the decision easier, thank you.
Andy, I would be interested in the Gen6 xf long irons compared to the new hybrids. Modern game improvement irons are kinda like mini hybrids now.
Andy, I’ve added a new paradyn 4 hybrid to my bag and am very happy with it.
my longest iron is a 7. The days of me hiting long irrons accurately ended about 6 years ago. At the start of last year I finally accpeted that I was no longer in my 20's and swinging a club like speed gonzales. I now have more headcovers in my bag. I get funny looks from the randoms I play with at my club, but when I pull out the Mizzuno JPX Fli Hi 6 hybdrid and hit the green on the 180yd par 3 almost every time they all ask the same quesiton, "what the hell did you hit there !!!" The usual aks that after they are hacking their way out of greenside bunker :)
The switch to hybrids has shaved another 5 strokes off my handicap, was playing off a 22 at the end of last summer and am now playing off a 17.3. I reckon I'll be down to 10 by the end of this year as the hydrids are just so much easier to swing and control.
The JPX fli-hi hybrids, at $137 new, should get a lot more love.
I’m off 4 and the best thing I did was drop my 5 iron and put in a hybrid. This unlocks so many longer par 4s in to greens.
I'm curious on the shafts PXG put you in. I've been told the fitter will push expensive aftermarket shafts. Thank you for the great content
I've been fit for PXG Driver, 5 wood, 4 and 5 hybrid. At no time during the fitting did he put an "up charge" shaft or grip.
I have a pxg gen 5 driver and 5 wood. Thinking of buying the 5 hybrid. Is this better than the Cleveland launcher hybrid. I like the custom fitting process. Thank you
I have Ping G425 hybrids 4-7 , I hit high hooks with them until I put the in a flat setting; now high and straight!
Thanks for the information! I have the gen 5 hybrid. Really like it. How does the gen 5 compare to the gen 6? Outside of the matte black vs. grey color on the crown…
Thanks Andy👊🏻
Andy I am curious if you replaced the 4i and 5i with a 4 and 5 hybrids? I have typically found when using hybrids as a replacement for an iron that I have to chose one that is a club lower than the iron I replace. In other words I replace a 5i with a 6 hybrid. Do you tend to find that as well?
I just ordered a new set of Srixon ZX 5 irons. I only got 7 and up .
I have been using a 6,5,3,2 hybrid for a
Hybrids I have - 3 Cleveland Halo Launcher, 4 - Callaway Rouge ST Max, 5 - Ping 425.
3.9 hcp.
Great video and honest review again Andy, what shaft have you got in them ?
The average golfer finally playing clubs all average golfers should. I've been playing 6 - 3 hybrid for close to a decade. I'm on a 11 hc . Hybrids rule.
All seem great but how do you get custom fitted in north wales ?
I've got a 5 iron in the bag then I'm down to a 3 hybrid, I'm thinking of getting a 4 hybrid or knocking my 3 up into a 4 and getting a 2 hybrid, I think I'm ditching, woods and having hybrids, and driver my 3 is a mizuno clk 2020, and I was getting 215 carry, I was using it off the tee last round as it was more accurate than my driver and about 15-30 yards shorter if I hit my driver well
Ordered the PXG gen 6 0311xf 4 hybrid and 4 wood to go with driver. Can’t wait until they arrive
Andy- given the drop in price of gen5, wouldn’t you suggest going for that?
Andy, great review. Out of interest, what distances are you getting out of both ?
Hi Andy, I have the 5 hybrid but interesting you have also gone for the 22 hybrid. Does that leave room in your bag for 21 degree 7 wood?
I am going with of the Touredge E723 exotics. For me they visually check the box, and are as good if not better than most, and yet are cheaper.
I've been thinking of getting the 15 degree PXG hybrid. Have you tried it? Do you have an opinion compared to the other PXG hybrids?
Woods tend to have longer shafts. So can go farther. Many pros switch from 3-4 hybrids to 7 woods. Flies higher. Lands softer.
I recently went with the 6 iron as the longest iron in the bag and use a 19⁰ and 26⁰ hybrids 😁
Andy,
I dont know why all the PXG haters are picking on your selections as I have always found you to be a very honest reviewer (just trolls coming out from under the bridge I suppose...dont let them get to you as they will surely turn to stone when the sun shines on them).
I've already got a 30° 6 hybrid, seriously considering a 34° ping or an eleven 8 hybrid which is only 75 quid.
Agree. I see too many who should not have 3-4 irons. Some 5 irons. Lydia Ko uses hybrids well!
Did you give up on the Cleveland hybrid 3+?
Did you consider a 9 wood in the mix And? And if so, why did you choose the 4 hybrid instead?
Probably because PXG doesn't make a 9w
@@walkerscarpetcare I was thinking brand agnostic here.
*Have Callaway Epic Speedn 7 wood (21*) & Ping 430 hybrid with senior shaft that I just love*
What happened to your Cleveland Halo Hybrids that are great clubs at about half the price
Got the 0211 7 wood 2 months ago….. best club in my bag i love it
No hybrids now, though I’ve had them in the past. Think you could put any head on the end of a Tensei Blue shaft and it would fly.
What, no data Andy? It would have been good to see you also hit your previous favourite from last year as a comparison (just a couple of shots......). Also, why the 4 hybrid instead of 7 Wood which you have also been very positive on? I always enjoy your stuff and respect your opinions.
I would carry both clubs but this is a 5 hybrid Anthony not a 4
@@TheAverageGolfer I know it’s primarily a 5 hybrid test Andy but at around 14.08 you hit the 4 hybrid. You have also been a big advocate of 7 wood, hence my question.
what distance do you get in these two hybrids
So in this case does the 4 & 5 Hybrid take the 7 wood out of your bag?
Paradym hybrids look nicer to my eye but we are all unique & play with what we like 😁 I thought you switched to Ping g425 hybrids & 7w in the past? I own 5i but carry only to 6i going into hybrids & 7w
I love PXG irons and I play with the 0311 gen 3 along with the 0811 driver. The only club i don't like from PXG is the hybrid. Maybe then Gen 6 are better but they were not great in the past.
I carry 2 hybrids a TSI2 5hy and Cobra King Tec 3hy with 5 iron being my longest iron .
I have the 5 and 6 hybrids of these. My irons start at 7. I play off 9. I get laughed/scoffed at by most people I play with...until they tally up the score ;o)
And very good for chipping around the green as well !
I’ve never gotten along with hybrids 5,7,9 fwy woods 6-Lw in irons
Andy would be good to see the guys you tested clubs with before with varying handicaps to try these clubs
Just got a gen 5 4 hybrid and love it
I carry two hybrids 22⁰ and 26⁰ which replaced my 4 and 5 irons. far more consistent now. I would imagine most golfers ego won't let them even consider a 5h but I would tell anyone to atleast try one and make a decision based on results
Went to a TM Sim2 Max 5H two years ago and added a TM Stealth 6H last year. Don’t see those leaving the bag. Of course a 7W precedes those.
You need a good bit of club head speed to properly launch the ball with one. I had a teaching pro tell me low 90s minimum, that’s the average golfers driver head speed…..
I have an older model of PXG hybrid. Can’t hit it at all smh. Can’t hit any hybrid period. 😅
Hybirds are far easier to hit and launch than a long iron, I have 3, 4 & 5 PXG Gen 4 XF hybirds in the bag and love them all.
Im going for the tsr hybrids, better option for shafts, hosel is better on titleist.
I love PXG, but better options available for the same money.
Glad your enjoying Gen 6, can’t wait for my fitting!! Do you think you’ll miss having a long iron for off the tee on a windy day?
