New sub here. I didn't know that Switchbot lock can work with keys! All the other videos I saw showed it attaching to deadbolt knobs. Thank you for this detailed demo.

It's not necessary, the tape is very sticky. It is also removeable without damaging the door, good for an apartment that you do not own.

I got my lock two weeks ago. I will say its very very plastic. And they dont have any fit for Assa Abloy locks and thats a pretty big lock company. When u get the lock it has tejp around the cylinder that is going to hold the locking pin, and when taking off the plastic the cylinder starts to move side to side, this is actually a very very bad thing since when u lock or unlock the cylinder shifts and it gets stuck trying to lock or unlock. As always with switchbot its sad to say but just wait untill some chinese copycat lock comes out for 1/3 of the price but with the same function and often better app. This is not worth the money. And also u have to have a switchbot mini hub close to make it work with google home and wifi.
