    Since the time change and a software update, the Auto Lock feature is now working as expected!

    • @dnoland77
      @dnoland77 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My lock received an update 5/31/21 and after it completed auto lock, no matter your chosen time frame in the app, failed to work until the 3 minute limit was reached. After poking around their site, they recommended running the lock calibration again. Surprisingly it worked and auto lock works again. Eufy should have had this information in the firmware update notification!

    This was by far one of the best review videos for any product. This review was very thorough and covered every aspect of the lock. I purchased this lock in July and love every feature about it but forgot how to find the pin that I used when setting it up in Google Home. So, I could always lock it with voice through the Google Assistant but could never unlock it through the assistant because I couldn't remember the pin. But once I watched your video it helped me to remember the pin that I set up.

    Update on my lock(s). I grew tired of the auto lock engaging after 3 minutes when I had intentionally left the door open (bringing in groceries) but I wanted the door to lock only when it actually closed. Since my exterior doors already have contact sensors for lights, security, & routines, I just made a routine in the alexa app to lock the door when the door is really closed. No more bolt banging on the door jam.

      @@TechWithBrett so, is the eufy lock shown here, a quality brand, and do you need to have wi-fi for all the voice prompts??? I don't have internet aside from my phone, where I would be using the lock, but would love to use the google assistant, the only problem is, phone gets low signal there, and when I turn my hotspot on, it cripples phone internet in favor of the hotspot, which makes the google assistant feasible if it requires internet to work...
      Another question I have besides whether I need WiFi for this, is whether both models have the same rechargeable battery, and whether that special looking battery shown here is easily replaceable or not...

    afternoon brett: looking for your opinion if you have one. on a traditional looking Smart Lock for the door knob portion and deadbolt that is not bulky. meaning two separate units that works in conjunction with one another, that also is secure and price reasonably of course. right now I have the wyse lock on my deadbolt. if possibly there is a door knob portion that will work with the wyze deadbolt if wyze was wise they would make a door knob Smart Lock to match because I would buy it in a heartbeat. LOL I like the idea of having two locks on the door so I don't want to just replace the bottom portion of my door knob with a non-lockable knob. as you can probably guess there's been times where I invite somebody over i go to unlock the door and the bottom lock is locked. I won't mention which dummy of the household lock the bottom lock by habit but that same dummy had to pay 80 bucks for a fee for a the technician showing up to do some work and was unable to to his work. I'll be paying that bill as soon as I get done writing this message. anyway thanks for any feedback

      This is different. That one only had bluetooth. This one adds wifi and you can now use it with Google Assistant and Alexa.

      @@TechWithBrett ah, so that one you couldn't control remotely then. Thanks for the info!

    What’s the difference with this model and the model that comes with the WiFi bridge?

    • @TechWithBrett
      @TechWithBrett  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This has the wifi Bridge built in so no need to have an extra device plugged in somewhere. The other model is the Bluetooth only and the bridge connects it to wifi.

      @@TechWithBrett right now built in is $249. Bridge is $185. Worth it to have the built in vs bridge model?

    Nice video and thank you for taking the time - once issue that would concern me is unlike a normal lock which is basically flat on the outside especially WHAT is to stop someone with a BIG hammer was to hit the top of it and break it from the door to have access to the bolt?

      Why wouldn't they just do that with the nearest window to have access too?

    Can you still only connect one smart lock to the wi fi bridge!? I need 4 locks.

    • @TechWithBrett
      @TechWithBrett  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only one Bluetooth model can connect to one bridge. The new model I featured has wifi built in so no bridge needed.

    You video doesn't cover how it performs when you are not home. Does it work if you are shopping away from your network?

    Has anyone found any surface mount smart locks? My backdoor is too thin to mount a standard plunger and currently has a surface mounted deadbolt.
    I have Eufy Smart Touch locks for my other exterior doors (and I like Eufy).
