I saw that. If produced before 1-1-68 it might not of been required. Although AMC was putting them in cars much earlier. Had a 68 red on red w/390 automatic, ps, pb and 8 track
That engine was made when leaded gas was the gas of the day. There are no harden valve seats so what fuel additive are you using for the crappy gas we have today.
@@MSClassicCars You do an excellent job! I have seen your work and you bring value to those interested in your cars. I like the videos, receipts, and honesty. Finding great cars to start is key, not easy, and hard to do. I was going to get into the business but became a licensed Realtor instead. I do enjoy my collection of cars and seeing what is out there.
@@gregsgarage1963 We do our best to find great cars. Unfortunately, every car needs work. That's why we go so in depth in our service department to make sure everything is gone through, fixed, made better, changed, etc. We appreciate your kind words. Maybe some day we can do business. Keep an eye out on our website :)
I do NOT believe the selling price you folks post!!! AMX's have trouble selling in general and rarely bring over 30k. If you have a mint 4 speed you may break 50k if all conditions line up and you are very lucky. This one here is painted what looks like a custom mix of Callcutta Russet. It looks VERY NICE!!! But...it is not a stock color. An automatic transmission may be nice but the AT's do not bring as much as 4 speeds. So when I see this car advertised in Hemmings Muscle magazine as having sold for $88,200 dollars I have to call BULL SH_T!!!! NO WAY HO ZAY!!! Nice car!!! But why start telling lies???I guess that's what car salesmen do....
Hey there, this car sold on an online auction for the listed price which included buyers commission. You can view the completed auction link here - www.hemmings.com/auction/1968-amc-amx. We are also the dealer that sold the 1971 Datsun 240Z for $310,000 on Bringatrailer.com which set another record. Check that out here :) bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-124/
I didn't realize this was a sales pitch.
Excellent ride 🙌👍
My dream car ! ❤
A real beauty. Calcutta Russett was one of the nicest and most outstanding '68 colors.
Its even prettier in person!
More of a compact than the others : GT Mustang , Dodge Charger , Chevrolet Stingray Corvette , Pontiac GTO .
Same bucket seats as in my '69. Mine has a 4-speed.
Sweet!
The missing headrest bothered me, I had a 68 in dark green.

You talk way too much!! Nice car but I had to mute the sound.
I agree I stop listening and moved on to something because of it

Impressive
Thank you
@@MSClassicCars You're welcome. Question, where do you find these nice cars?

Kill the stupid music and just let the car run
