The swords on Shadow Dragon's back do clip in more solidly. They have to be pushed down a touch further until they "clip in". His cape is also removable if you pull the rear shoulder armor panel off. The front shoulder panel is glued on, so don't take that one off. Ha. Thanks for the kind review!!!
Just wanna say, these Delta-17, Dark Shadows and Retrograd figures are truly amazing! I absolutely appreciate individuals like yourselves that are bringing back the o-ring figure in style. I remember the excitement I felt in anticipation of the latest GI Joe wave in the 80s, wondering what new sculpts and cool characters hasbro was cooking up next and I haven't felt that since then... until now! Can't wait to purchase these! They're all so highly detailed, come with some dope accessories that peg onto their backpacks and have extra articulation. Bravo, you guys! BTW, when can we order these? Website says coming soon.
I wish the leader's helmet would come off, I always preferred when Joe's like Ripcord, Footloose, and the original green thirteen were able to remove their helmets.👍🏽

I like how these guys can easily fit in a Joe display, while having their own set personality. The weaponry is really nice because everything looks like it "belongs" to the figure. I hated the accesory trees 90s Joes came with because it was not only too many pieces, but so many recycled weapons made the figures look less unique. Very nice set, I may have to pick up a few and test drive them myself.
The line looks great! For me not a bad one in the group! Love the way Shephard looks, and can't wait to get a few of those Okami! NINJA ROBOTS!!! Cool video Hoodie, and stellar job to the DELTA 17 crew!!!
For Preacher, it looks like his one hand was stuck and didn't want to swivel the whole way around. This is a problem that we are seeing with about 5% of the figures. Our designer had that issue and said he fixed it by running the wrist under hot water. So it's something that customers need to be aware of, just so they don't break the hand by ripping the plastic, forcing it around.
Best waiting forever for these! Between Delta 17 and Strike Force Alpha we have been spoiled with new o ring releases. And we still have Operation Longbow and Callsign Recall on the way!

Great review, I hadn't heard of these and I'm impressed by them. Here's my two cents on the accessories the figure can't hold/carry: The "clear" and red lens helmet visors on the Thunder Battalion trooper seem to be an either/or kind of thing. But it gives you the ability to put a tiny bit of variation on a figure when used in a group. The second antenna with Rooster I think is just a spare to keep in reserve, in the event of loss. As I kid, I remember combing the whole yard trying to find tiny accessories Storm Shadow Ver.1's bow and I would have loved to have had a spare. BTW: was anyone else thinking that if you did a head swap with Rooster and Preacher, you'd have a half decent modern take on Stalker?

These are really nice. They look like they come from a world where Hasbro never stopped making ARAH figures in 1994, and these are the new figures for 2023/2024. I think that's very cool.
These figures look great, especially Shadow Dragon, but seem pretty steep at $25/ each. I also like the attempt at world building, but there are some inconsistencies in the file cards to anyone who has been in the military. Shepherd, for example, is only a 2LT despite being in the military for almost 20 years. Either he waited to become an officer after going through the NCO ranks, or he got demoted multiple times. Similarly, there are several corporals. If this was an elite unit, they would have been promoted to at least E5 after passing their qualification courses. Anyway I am eager to see what comes next from Delta 17. The website and toys look great!

Delta-17 looks and feels more like a proper successor to G.I. Joe than another knockoff. And at $25 a pop it does seem quite steep, but considering inflation, high quality and much lower production numbers than G.I. Joe had, I guess that's where it shakes out.

At $25 each, these are competitively priced and I like to think this will inspires Hasbro to really pull out all the stops when they release theiwn own O ring line later this year. Does anyone know if these can be taken apart like regular Joes for kitbashing? Or even if they can be combined with ARAH body parts? That would really open up some customizing options.

They look great. These guys have done so well to produce something that looks so good and at the same time seems to be vintage Joe level quality. I especially like Shepherd, Death Sparrow, and Delta Infantry. Dunno why but I kinda like that the guy in charge is black. I feel like we should be able to see the face of the boss of the good guys, but it's a bad-ass figure regardless. The only one that I find silly is the Robot Ninja. The whole concept seems weird for a start, and some of the details seem illogical too - like why does it come with two sword attachments? How would he be able to attach both? Once one is on, he hasn't got another hand to remove the second hand. And then two actual swords on top just seems over the top. Also the gun attachment - I presume he can fire it when it's attached, so what's the grip and trigger for? Does he still need to shoot it with his other hand? But I'm nitpicking with the robot, overall these are so good. And maybe the extra mask for the enemy infantry can go in his belt for storage? I did notice one of the dog's ears seems to be smaller than the other, is that a shortpour, or is it maybe a rescue dog from a fighting ring or something?
The puppy has a folded-over ear. This is super common with German Shepherd puppies. We wanted to give the pup an authentic look. As far as the robot ninja's go, some people will dig them and some will love them. Me, I'm more of a "strictly military" type of guy, but I know that people still want their toys to be toys. So we added a "splash of the incredible" to amp them up for people that are looking for something different. If the Okami were in an animated form, then we would see that their hands transform and fold out of the way to make room for the small items that can be mounted? Something like that. Either way, we just want the toys to be fun and get people to feel like they're kids again (and hopefully get some real kids to play with these instead of screens!!!). The robot ninja's gun has a handle so people can pick it off a dead robot and still use it. Hope some of this helps to explain it. Either way, have an awesome new year and we appreciate the thoughtful feedback!

Your explanations regarding the accessories make sense though. For what it's worth, I think Delta 17 is the best of all the new o-ring brands.
