The mint green made me think of the vintage Joe Iceberg figure. With some elbow grease, you could probably make a decent custom of him, using that buck.
I tried doing some image searches for arctic camo patterns and couldn’t find one that uses mint green. A lot of white and gray patterns but no mint green. But I do like the look of this figure and bought one myself because it reminds be of ARAH Ice Berg. Very happy with it and my only issues are 1) the Scar AR is scaled a tad bit too small. 2) the radio on the back of the vest gets in the way of putting on the backpack. I had to heat up the vest and remove the radio which is glued on the vest.
I'm weird. But I kind of like the mint green troopers. It gives a sort of near future SciFi vibe. Which works for my headcannon and collecting takes. But I understand the more "Modern Military" focused collectors are looking at the green and groaning. (but not at the flying robot bug suited guys? Or the sexy candy apple red murderbots coming out in the next wave?) The worst thing that can be said of the Arctic Trooper and his gear here is that none of it looks like it will mix and match particularly well with any of the other gear sets. Whereas for most of the other default trooper bodies we could create some distinct but acceptable differences by mixing and matching some of the gear sets. And almost anything looked good on the Desert body. But this white and mint green? Nope! I have an urban trooper body without a gear set. I don't think he's going to be getting an ugly christmas sweater plate carrier.
@beesbattlegrounds Thank you for pointing out the flaws in the sniper gear. Ill just get 2 troopers with regular gear sets and 2 arctic steel brigades and skip the snow ghilly suit. I normally dislike soft goods. Too hard to keep clean. But those look like literal (swifter) dust magnets
Aiight the farthest Arctic camouflage the Marine Corps, ”Kill!” have ever went as far as the green being in the white camouflage was and still is a white with an urban grey with a hint of a little lighter green (which still looks more grey) splotches blended into the grey camo. It has never been a mint green in our arctic camo. The reason I still like the trooper and the camo scheme is because I can actually see the usage of the inner workings of the color scheme in being in a wide open, completely, bright snow covered mountain and trying to sight in on that color green against a white background. I didn’t agree with the color too much but it’s still doable for a set up table in a combat mission brief. So I’m not to much Ballz out about it.

The Valaverse line started out strong, but over this last year, it's really taken a nose dive. I was buying everything in multiples. I skipped this wave completely though. There's too much good stuff being made by other companies to keep buying repainted troopers wearing the same vests and helmets. It's like gummy bears, cerakote edition.
I wouldn't say its taken a nosedive, but I'd say it hasn't really moved forward much. The new couple figures he showed renders of awhile ago looked pretty good. Although I'm really not interested in the Vanguard at all and I think people are dickriding that thing too hard.

I was iffy on the whole artic aesthetic at first - I got the artic SB as a completionist - but then we've had some snow, I've seen folks doing snow photography, watched a couple of action movies set in winter landscapes, and know I am kinda wanting some of the artic Republic figs, lol.
I got one Arctic trooper and gear kit to be my Arctic Snake Eyes. Not crazy about the green mint color but maybe it grows on me when I get it in hand. Glad I passed on the white ghille suit but he did get me with the blowback deluxe (wanted mainly for the figure than the ghille suit). My stuff is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I wish I saw the ghillie suit review before I bought it. Feel like it could have used something to keep the hood closer to the head. I regret impulse buying it because I was getting the arctic trooper and gear.

Could be the same factory as final faction. If you’re watching dollar tree get on top of this and start selling 1/12 weapons and accessories, people are paying $25 for this. I’ve seen mint green camo in women’s leggings, so it does exist.

Can't say I'm a fan of the mint green accent color. Would rather Bobby had used French Grey. There is still a green tint to it but it's more subtle and would be so much less distracting.
I want to get an action force figure because they are more realistic that gi joe and have come with all those hands and real world assessors but idk which one to get. Which figure would you recommend as a starter?
Thats available, maybe Condor (SDS Reissue), Desert Condor, or the Urban Commando (those are easily available) they cover a solid baseline of the line without breaking the bank. Otherwise you could pick what interests you as far as troop and gear wise.
No way shape or form am I a leading expert on military uniforms but yeah I have never seen that green color on any uniform and I've been on some joint military bases in a few different Countries lol but it does look cool though

Wow super disappointing. Cancelled my pre-order from BBTS. The mint green would have looked so much better painted grey. The weapon case looks like Sideshow Destro’s Marrs weapons case that they remolded in cheap white plastic. Oh well thanks for saving me some dough.
For $11.99, I decided to order the artic gear set, and air brush it grey instead of paying $40.00 from a third party for the security gear set. I just wanted some grey gear for my Classified Torpedo. I could never collect Valaverse. It's not worth the chase. After pre-order all the cool stuff disappears, and other than Ebay, I can't ever seem to find it. And I'm not paying Ebay prices.

I greatly appreciate this review. I've been on the fence about trying out VVerse. From this and some other experiences I've seen, I feel like I may like the figs, but I'll absolutely be dodging the weapons. Those, as well as that weapons case and ghillie suit, look absolutely terrible.
Don’t dodge the weapons. Most of them are fantastic. Yes they are a harder plastic than Hasbro. No they aren’t brittle. And at less than $1 per gun they are the best value out there. If you can get one of the damaged metal tins of weapons the value is incredible.
@@patientmental875 I used Hasbro as a comparison as the most common weapons out there but noted as being of soft gummy plastic. The Valaverse weapons are a much harder plastic. But not as hard or brittle as the Tony Little Armory model kit styrene. The only other real comparison are the Gridiron, which are a 3d printed resin.
Dissing? It's one thing to be futuristic, it's another to claim something is real... I like both sides of things, but if you're going to call claim something is real and it's not, its a problem. If you watched the whole video you'd know that I don't mind the color, just the reasoning behind it.
