This is my favorite California surf fishing video. It's got me thinking different about how to fish swimbaits from shore even when casting. I love casting at structure so this is really inspiring for me. Thank you Ed and Vincent!
Used to fish out there and the boathouse. When I was in the Coast Guard I did it whenever I visited home. Grew up in Lompoc so fished the base all my “younger” life.
I fish areas like that and won’t even think of fish on low tide I have always thought low tide was time off from fishing BUT NOW,,,,,, I will try this out I appreciate the channel and really do learn more from you then I did in school LOL!!! Thanks again 🎣🐟
This is just so cool. It is so crazy how far that water goes out on low tide. Amazing vid Edward and the gyotaku stuff is really coming out awesome bro!!
Great fishing and informative fishing advice. It’s been awhile since I’ve been out there. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video on pocket fishing here on the central coast so thanks for this and keep them coming. Stopped by BTCT yesterday and picked up a pack of 6” “Cali covers” I have to say I like these sleeves a lot. JohnnyZ
This reminds me of the way I learned to fish. Way different water and fish but the same method. In between Lone Pine and Bishop are small fast moving creeks. These streams are pure snow melt and are no more then 5 feet wide covered in vegetation. Like you mentioned in this video about not being worried about giving away the location cause its not accessible to most people, same with these streams. We use light tackle and phoebe lures. Ive pulled out monster browns but mostly rainbows are caught. Biggest thrill in fishing is watching your fish hit the lure only 3 feet from you. Thanks for posting this video
I would love to do this around the jettys and banks near me, but I just don't like climbing on the rocks anymore. A couple of years ago I fell on the rocks and bruised & scraped my leg pretty bad. I decided that I wasn't in my 20s anymore (I'm over 60) and I am just going to stay on the sand from now on!
Hello happy fishing 🎣 Wednesday 💛✌🏼🎣 where is manseraoutdoors I'm a big fan of yours and manseraoutdoors I have never fished pocket fishing just Pier fishing 🎣 my favorite is Pier fishing
POCKET FISHING BABYYYY!!!
Vince carries himself like an excellent teacher. Awesome to see and listen to. Thanks Vince and Ed for sharing your knowledge!
You bet!
Those green grass rockfish are like the Filet mignon of rockfish. Small fillets but oh so good.
Vince is the best fisherman I know #Jurassicsportfishing

Hey I didn’t hear how much weight Vincent is using. It looked like 3/4oz or maybe 1oz?
1 ounce to 1.5
@@JurassicSportFishing Thank you! It makes sense to me, for that vertical jigging, the extra weight helps with control.
Want to come back on Vandy to fish with a few of us Active Duty?
heck yes! email edward@hook2cook.net
