Great video I always felt like I played well for my rank with Genji but I always threw my blades away because I felt like I needed to use it as soon as possible otherwise I would be wasting out on potential other blades I could be farming but this makes so much more sense, thank you

Greatly appreciate these videos. You feel alot more relatable and better to learn from then others I sometimes watch such as Necros, especially with how in depth your videos are. I liked how you pointed out how you made a mistake blading against that Sojourn, it's good to know that not even a really good Genji is perfect and I find comfort in that

I bladed completely on instinct the moment I saw that slide, so yeah, not much thought went into it other than the setup before that moment with waiting the tree out and taking a flank approach. If I did think about life grip tho, it would have looked a lot more like the 2nd blade =)

Man it makes me so glad you're using Shadowburn as an example of how to play smart with Genji he was imo the best to ever do it. For the time frame he had to master the character in I think he and Haksal were the ones to master Genji the soonest back in 2017. Shame a lot of these players aren't playing the game anymore but this was such a good video Poke. Thank you once again

In a different world where Blizzard isn't destroying this game we would still be seeing these legends refine their craft...

Very informative stuff, Poke -- great video : D
You are right... Most of the time its better to resist the temptation to pop Genji's ult when available and instead wait until the enemy exhausts all of their abilties and ults that could counter Genji. I notice I tend to have more successes with it because of that.
Having the element of surprise can also increase chances of success with his blade ult since the enemy might too distracted to be able to do anything about it. Another reason to have some patience as you pointed out.

good video i thought it was bad of me to hold blade for a long time but you made me rethink situations I’m gonna implement this into my game :)❤
also can you make a video on how to play around the laser heroes? I’m struggling with them or they are just gremlins that chase me to spawn to kill me lol

I want to have videos for every map and matchup but that takes time lol. Think about your/their strenghts and weaknesses and how they interact with one another ;)

8:12 Poke I think you couldve gotten another blade during that entire time you held onto to it. I think you couldve gotten more value by ulting more.
10:00 nice example of how not doing anything unironically gets you far in this game.

I really didn't need to ult in any of the fights tho. If I felt like the enemy team actually had a chance of winning and I was properly setup, I would have pulled the trigger to confirm the fight win.
You are absolutely correct in that the more times you use your ultimate in a match, the more potential value you can get, but this should only be applied when ulting is actually necessary to win, as otherwise it's simply a waste of a resource on a really long cooldown

What if I have blade and dash trying to get a kill but not with the intention to use blade and then Ana gives me nano, now because of it im forced to use blade and try to get some kills but the enemy may have some cooldowns to contest me

    • @HarmlessPoke
      @HarmlessPoke  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Getting nano'ed doesn't force you to engage/blade! It's all about reading the situation: can you win the fight without ulting? Are you in condition to keep going or should you back up? Depending on your answer to these and some other questions I haven't mentioned you will go about the situation in one of many different ways! Don't worry about getting the call right every time, as practice makes perfect!

Do these tactics apply to just regular play with a Genji

Does the same tactics of being patient when you engage on your neutral work as well

@@0ne109 almost always no, the things talked about in this video are very much different from neutral play (not saying patience isn't good for that too tho)

O problema q eu tenho com a Blade é q eu n consigo me acalmar na Blade, ai eu simplesmente só dou Dash em cada um q passa na minha visão, ai c eu n mato todo eu mato todo mundo eu acabo morrendo
