Some of those intersections had my face scrunched in anticipation. Sitting here with a cup of coffee getting a tour like a toddler on the backseat. ❤

what did he say? I didn't understand what he said..
@@bastienruytinx1417Yes he did! :D "I'm walking here!"
@TerryB had camera issues? That's it, the world has truly ended. Great cinematography as usual terry.
anyone who's watched his livestreams knows Terry constantly has camera issues
@@_DBPooper It's rare his WG2X gimbal let him down. Battery usually lasts longer. Not sure what the issue was. This event was a long one. That gimbal should last up to 2.5 hours when new. Live streams by nature bring far more tech issues, reception and the extra complexity of syncing multiple mics up and having different live camera shots and all else Terry did innovating on his live streamed tours. Can also charge the gimbal while using it, maybe Terry will do that for future events, assuming it was the battery.
Amazing footage - really the best of the genre ever. The clarity is amazing
47:00 that whole stretch through Times Square to PABT 🔥
Sick!!!

I wonder what the guy on the bike would do if he was the guy in his expensive car and someone damaged it like that and just ride away? Everyone thinks it is ok?
@@jirihutecka9020
Who f***ing cares about cars ?
They're just visual, noise, air pollutions and destroy climate
@@jirihutecka9020 I you are rich enough to afford an Car in nyc, you won't care
@@MR3 wow what a stupid logic. Can you imagine if everyone else was behaving like that?
@@jirihutecka9020 Firstly, this car isn't that expensive, and secondly, it's not damaged - you can pause the video and see it yourself.
The little kid saying “I’m walking here” is gonna be president some day.
The little kid is Actionkid.
I've been a NYC cyclist for over 30 years, and parts of that ride seriously stressed me out.
13:12 I’m walkin here from a kid legend respect 😂😂😂
Can't wait to watch this one 👊👊(I'm an ex courier that used to race the Alley Cat races in London UK back in 2008/09/10)
The 2023 version of this race was wild, and such a close finish as well
These long form race videos are the BEST videos to watch while spinning.
Hey! I never thought of that! In the safety of my living room too! Thanks!
Yup these videos get me through my hour of cycle cardio. I’m at 900 calories in an hour mid resistance
13:03 i was tracking the wide bar guy to see how he was gonna go through all that and holy shit was i impressed, DAMN

Dude just kept riding freakin amazing

@@fuxthebullshit yeah amazing damage someones car and just ride a way..
I don’t know man… i am a bike enthusiast but i really don’t like this kind of rude behavior towards people. It seems like a selfish to ride through people and cars like this just to have fun
This type of cycling is very common in NYC, It’s not for everyone and maybe not common where you live, but it’s acceptable here. Drivers know to expect the bikers on the road..
it's a race, peter

because of this danger, it is interesting
I just see little bullies scaring pedestrians. Good job 👍

I wasn’t looking at the tv but when I heard Tony’s voice, I literally dropped what I was doing and looked up to see the don
Is that John Taki too?
Great video like always Terry, too bad about the ending! “I’m Waking Here” will forever be the classic for this edition of Monstertrack!
Sean killing it on that MASH steel.
I wanted to see a video about navigating through Manhattan on bike. I know these are track bikes but this is a great way to build confidence through the streets.
Dude with the green bike is a beast rider and a class act. Such a menacing riding style but still thanking pedestrians as they stop for them at crosswalks. Much respect and he's probably a great dude all around.
was so sick on the livestream, glad to see this footage too!
8:40 on the livestream you couldn't see that 2nd car at all!
Yeah the head mounted gimbal gives a much better view when looking at other riders! Sean took the fall well rolling over the bonnet like a professional fall guy! I do wonder if Safa would have used his extreme skills to get out of it. Safa is next level though. I recall him dodging that mini and other things.
@@andrewnorris5415 Safa dodging mini ON A ROADBIKE, not on brakeless trackbike, and that is definitely different situation, this one in the position of blindspot, and safa is in sudden movement ON SIGHT
That's the problem with big cars... You can't see over them on foot or on a bike...
Had the car continued, he could have gone behind it... Maybe...?
Eh... Not like I know what the cyclist saw... :-)
which one is in fault? they didn't take the time to fill in the form 🙂

21:53 Great Documentation of a moment in NY city - "What if we told you your shower water was dirtier than this truck?" Immortalized!
what? it looks like its a stupid ad for something, its not vandalized onto the truck, what is achieved by an ad being immortalized that u are so excited by it?
44:20 is dope
This was exciting, but way to dangerous. In my city (Bucharest) you'll be all dead by now, here the drivers are mad and bad at the same time. Mind you I AM riding a single speed with a flip flop back wheel, but when I'm in fixed mode I can't go with skidding and 'force braking, with my body weight on the pedals. Here the drivers won't even have the patience to wait for red lights, not to mention that sometimes they 'force' their way from yellow to red and almost get cough by the others that begin to have green light. Also I'm pretty sure police would fine any cyclist with no brakes on it's bike. Good race though !
so i got a question.... if i would ride like these guys, the german police would chase me and actually hit me off the bike and i would lose my drivers license (for my car).
arent there any rules on riding in the US? cause the cops dont care at all.
There are rules. This is highly illegal. The problem is both a lack of enforcement as well as a lack of ability to enforce. NYC is always so gridlocked that a reasonably skilled fixie rider is too slippery for cops to catch.
All rules and road traffic ordinances were ignored. It is so danger for other road users!!
but i like it
They are professionals, let them be professional😊

+ How many infractions did you saw in this video?
- Yes
what handle bar length is best for alleycat?
I don't understand, its interesting. 1 what's the purpose of this "racing" manifest? (It's a bit dangerous, putting some people in risk, right?)
2 why the riders stop and take the papers of the peoples? What have in this papers?
Please help meeeee I'm really curious
This is an "alleycat" race (an unsanctioned race organized by bike messengers). The papers given out at each checkpoint tell them where to go for the next checkpoint, similar to how bike messengers would be assigned deliveries over the course of a day. So to do well in a race like this, you not only need to be fast, you also need to know the city layout perfectly to understand the shortcuts.
To me this feels a bit like high altitude mountain climbing. You get away with it for a while - some longer than others - but eventually it will catch up with you. How many of your friends get seriously injured or die from riding like this?
on what are you mooving ?
Awesome footage!! Bro hit the car & kept pedaling. Classic!!! Effin Classic!!!
Hey Terry...From Brazil here.
The back gear must not replace often?I have often problem when i am stopped and i use a low gear back to go, i use only big gear at the back to avoid it but at fixie there is not another option.
I hope we see footage of Toni, after eBike problems
Amazing footage 😍I'm going to do everything I can to get myself over there next year. Thanks for documenting the culture Terry! I heard one guy had a bad crash? Let us know if there's a fund raiser for him
Thank you Jet🔥
8:39 - Crash
Who payed the damages to the car?
@akissparaskevopoulos same thought
@akissparaskevopoulos I really hope the car is OK. Might be completely totalled, ruin all opportunities for resale. I mean it was invloved in a crash so it already loses half it vaule. Fuck who does pay for the damages....???
what is the camera man riding?
I am passionate about cycling, but what is shown here seems selfish and disrespectful towards other road users and pedestrians.
A shame for real cyclists.
It makes the rest of us cyclist look bad.
The Kid that said “ I’m Walkin’ ‘ere “ made me crack up so hard 🤣🤣
We need a full video. I think you not the only one who recorded the race. I saw a gopro on Tony. But even do it's short, it's a nice video.
Terry live streamed far more with a chest mounted go pro. Not as high quality as his gimbal helmet mount - which suffered tech issues. This was a super long event! He's pinned a link to the recoding of the live stream.

@42:16 why 38cm track bars are a good choice. threading the needle baby!
Talk about threading the needle...
Yo this might be one of my favorite monstertrack vods in a while. Frickin beautiful from Sean and rucola bombing uptown to the Times Square squeeze. That wide lens is doing gods work. Seeing the racers swerve their lines through traffic was magical. Thanks for all you do Terry
Reviewing Shaun's crash it reminds me of a familiar situation. In going through the intersection he passes behind the first car which blocks the view of a second car. As the first accelerates Shaun pulls in to where he thinks is empty space and makes contact with the second car instead. Luckily he took the hit to the side and while decelerating (due to making the turn), the impact being so low that he is able to keep on his feet the whole time and merely spins rather than tumbles. Taking the hit to the side of the vehicle, and also to his own side, is far safer than to front of either. This scenario of cutting around one obstacle/vehicle/pedestrian which blocks you view of another and thus screwing up your inner physics calculus is one I think we can all identify with.
I mean... I can't identify with this because I don't ride like a lunatic.
Well done.. enjoyed that. 👍🏼👊🏻
Why are the cars going so slow? What is the maximum authorized speed limit in this city?
That traffic is scary
8:00 I give Rucula a hug

How often do you guys do ride outs like this? You have a page to follow for upcoming ride outs. I’m trying to tag along

Thats an excuse, haters gonna hate.
@@l3thal112 comment was positively meant. but ok. Maybe you could see the comment in another light if you saw what kind of boring videos I had uploaded on my channel. I respect those cyclists in this video a lot for their skills and nerves to manoeuvre through that kind of traffic. My comment was about I understand that non cyclists hate cyclists for what they do, still they are awesome. I myself as a former pro cyclist experienced a lot of aggression on the road.
