You could also have mentioned that Khabib never moved up in weight to challenge for the welterweight belt. That is why I cannot put him higher than guys like Jon Jones and GSP on my goat list. It's sad because I am very confident that he could comfortably beat any guy at 170
That is a weak argument. You don't have to be in multiple weight classes to be the greatest and win belts in multiple weight classes in order to be the goat. Jones engaged an I poking, and ped use.
I don't hold GSP's losses against him too much. The fact he came back and not just won a decision or beat Serra and Hughes, he destroyed them and beat them both the way they beat him. He armbared Hughes and essentially made Serra quit from strikes. Plus GSP's list of wins literally could not be better. He beat every single great WW from 3 era's. He beat 4 Hall of Famers, the UFC LW champion, the UFC WW champion, the UFC MW champion, the Strikeforce MW champion, the Strikeforce WW champion and the WEC WW champion. Recentcy bias is the only thing that hurts GSP. Most fans today were not watching the UFC back when Hughes, Trigg, Sherk and Fitch were monsters at WW and have no way of appreciating the level of competition he's been facing since he was 6-0. GSP is MMA's definitive GOAT.
GSP beat the best at their best AND at their own games. He out struck the strikers and out wrestled the wrestlers despite never competing in formal wrestling. He's my personal favorite and will always belong in the GOAT conversation.
@@alhfgsp Good point. Rush beat his opponents at their best, whereas Jon Bones Jones cherry picks his opponents to fight them when they're at a disadvantage to make beating them easier for Bones.

Anyway everyone has their disqualifying asterisks. I go back and forth between Khabib and Mighty Mouse. Silva is in there if you believe he didn't juice before his injury and only count the height of his career
To be fair to Khabib, he had the longest win streak in LW at 13 and the most title defences are tied at 3. A lot of ppl don’t want to put him in the GOAT convo because they felt like he ran away which is sad
@@deniz5140khabib retired in his prime (prob had 1-2 years left of his prime as he was still getting better every fight) and he defo had at least 4 years on top. I'd argue he would have more time on top as he wasn't an athlete that relied on explosive power. If we look in the division now there isn't anyone that could beat him. He was also in lightweight the greatest and most competitive division of all time. Gsp still the goat tho.
@@JimScott-e9n Its just way to much predictions and barely any evidence compared to the other goats. Gsp was a better fighter than all of his opponents and still had 2 losses. No one knows how long Khabib could have stayed undefeated and how his career would have went over the next few years. He simply retired to early to be the goat.
It’s because he cut so much weight and never faced any decorated grapplers, so he was taking down strikers while having 30~50Ibs on them, Jones only cut 15 pounds in LHW.
One more + for DJ, he went and took a disadvantageous fight in One FC facing the greatest Muay Thai fighter of all time in a special fight with the first round being Muay Thai and was competitive and won that fight in the MMA round. May not be a 2 divisional champion but he took a risk not many MMA champions took especially not one where they won
Kinda got a great point but kind of waffle tbh. What you was kind of saying is DJ has done a lot outside of the UFC that isn't taken into account but the rodtang (sanchai is the muay Thai goat not rodtang) fight shouldn't be a serious factory . Firstly it was an expedition. Secondly rodtang was at the disadvantage as it's easier to enhance some skills you already knew and just not use 1 tool than to completely learn a new tool (DJ was also already a better striker than grappler who did use knees and elbows) so I'd say rodtang was at a disadvantage.
@@cobaltjay9862 The fight was close but cejudo learned from their first fight and kept enough pressure and volume to have the edge over DJ but even if let’s just say it was a robbery, for someone to be even in the conversation of GOAT status, you should be able to steamroll through the best of the best in your prime, Aldo did it, Connor did it, GSP did it, Silva did it, Jones did it. And just to clarify I believe DJ is the most likable dude out of all of these names, been subscribed to his YT channel for 2~3 years now and I watch his content pretty consistently, but in a unbiased POV, I do have to say he does lack in aspects that other fighters excel at.
Dude, Anderson was 40 when he started losing. He wasn't in his prime anymore. Only Daniel Cormier would have still beaten him regardless and he fought an older version of Anderson. Chris Weidman was the only fighter to beat Anderson in Anderson's prime. Only issue is both fights ended due to Anderson either playing around or due to an injury. Plus, Anderson Silva wanted to retire before they even made that fight.
Another reason why I think Jon Jones would not be considered the goat would be that he only has a single fight in HW and that was against an incomplete fighter Ciryl Gane. Despite his dominant performance it's not enough to call him HW goat, if he has a few more big fights in HW it would solidify his legacy. Even his fight with Stipe Miocic if he wins won't make him the goat because Stipe is old and hasn't fought in forever.
I’d say goat status would mean that they have success in other weight classes such as GSP having welterweight and middleweight because it shows fighter versatility between weight classes and different opponents.
@@jeffsmith2304 bro gsp had 1 fight at middleweight and beat michael bisbing won the title and retired, jones had 1 fight at heavyweight and won the title. they have both done the exact same thing at the 2nd weight class. what are you talking about
I feel DJ or GSP are the 2 contenders bc I feel to be the GOAT you have to suffer defeat bc as they say it’s not about losses its’s about how you bounce back from them. GSP avenged both and DJ avenged his loss to moraes and the 2nd cejudo fight was controversial. The only other losses were due to size disadvantage or lack of experience
Anderson Silva's fighting style revolves around his reflexes, and this gets severely diminished with age. Which explains his losing streak. He was old. Anyone you can put into the conversation of GOAT likely permanently retired before they even got to that age.
Nate Diaz makes outrageous statements with no evidence to support his claims and people foolishly believe him. Nate Diaz is wrong. He can't speak for everyone. How is Nate Diaz's words more valid than drug tests? Nate Diaz is wrong about everyone being on performance enhancing drugs.
The GOAT of MMA for me is Fedor Emelianenko. To me, not even thinking about who the best is just seems short-sighted to me. In reality, there is no GOAT because fighters keep improving, keep getting stronger, and diminish in skill over time. To me, Jon hasn't completely proven himself. He fought the best in his division, but most were out of their prime or he waited until they were, like he did with Lyoto Machida. If prime Shogun from the Pride FC days fought Jon Jones, I'm confident in myself when I say that I think he could win
For me it’s either GSP or DJ but I lean slightly towards DJ. His 3 losses consist of a close decision to Cejudo who he also has knocked out. And his other 2 losses are at 135 (in one championship flyweight is 135). And he avenged the Moraes loss twice.
Khabib needs to stop being overrated, yes he dominated lightweight but he had perfect matchups, most of his career he fought nobodies, the 3 best people he beat are all strikers with bad wrestling, perfect matchup for him
But he beat Gaejie, Poirier, Michael Johnson, Barboza, Dos Anjos, Konnor. And he beat all of them without a single drop of blood and barely been hit at all. If that is not impressive, then I dont know what is)
Greatness isn't numbers on a page. It's what you see with your eyes. When you've acknowledged important information that inspires you to be better. That is when you know you've seen greatness.
None of these guys (Khabib, DJ, GSP, Silva, Jones, etc) is the GOAT, not even close. As GSP once said: THE REAL GOAT is yet to come, he may not be even born yet. The guys we are seeing now are just prototypes who are paving the way for him, and when he arrives, he is going to turn the sport upside down.

Calling Jones the GOAT is why people don't take MMA seriously. Other legitimate sports have extremely low tolerance to any such BS. In the UFC, you have the president of the UFC fighting for roided cheats and calls them GOATs.

Imo, losses dont matter as long as they are avenged, in fact it makes for a great storyline when a champion loses because of one of his own vices, before coming to realise his mistakes and making an effort to correct them and come back stronger than before.
My GOAT is Amanda Nunes, so underated but I can't find anything to take her from the number 1 After her, I put Anderson Silva... Most of the critiques about him are from things that happened when he was already old. Even the loss to Weidman happened when he wasn't in his prime... His only problem was to take too long to retire... And if he retired earlier, he would be criticized for retiring soon, as Nurmagomedov Then, after him, I put John Jones... But tbh, it's mostly because I can't ignore his personal life and I find dirty the amout of eye pokes he scores.
Jon jones cloesest fight (and in my opinion lost but judges had biases) was with Dominick Reyes, with a close second being Alex G loved both fights majority of his fights are him straight out classing his opps but all in all having only had taken steeroids other than that and it being his biggest flaw most definitely makes him the GOAT. Khabib on the other hand is a career both him and us as fans were robbed of but its completely understandable would have loved watching him vs Volk and possibly Islam
I still don’t believe Jon Jones is undefeated. Sure he was dominating that match before his DSQ, but one lucky punch from the opponent can lead to a knockout so you can never know who would’ve actually won.
I don't think he deserves the DQ for the Hamil fight but the NC to Cormier should be a DQ. Could have easily lost the decsions to Reyes, Gus and Santos as well, his record could easily be 23-5
Crazy how Bones would be the undisputed GOAT if he had never been popped for PEDs… but then again, maybe he would have lost a few fights due to not being on them… who knows
When we talk about the Domininance and positive influence it gotta be Khabib but yeah he has 3 Title defenses which is very less compared to other greats but we also must realise other divisions aren't even close to being stacked as the lightweight division
for me it will always be khabib nurmagomedov note , before every fight every opponent knew very well Khabib had only one gameplan take you down and beat the shit outta you round 1 on anyone , takes them down regardless who it is dagistani handcuff and wrestle/ground and pound if they survived round 1 round 2 same process repeats , takes them down and they get dragged into this feeling of they can't do anything against it despite knowing his gameplan and training weeks to stop it round 3 same over and over and over eventually ref stops or they get tapped out they break mentally and physically or they survived all rounds being smeshed mercyless for 5 rounds and khabib wins on decision that's what makes him to me the best to ever do it his style was just unstoppable no matter who you are
Been saying this for years, it's a rock-paper-scissors thing with who the GOAT is. You can make legit arguments for (and against) half a dozen different guys
the definite goat is GSP, most technical fighter, would beat ANY fighter if they met up at an even weight (yes even jones, since gsp would have to gain weight making him stronger) amazing striking AND grappling, and amazing fight iq
GSP is closest to the GOAT status. He lose some fight but he get his revenge of his 2 losses anyway, that make him even greater. Also his personality, a role model of the sport.
Being undefeated in MMA just shows you didnt fight enough imo. It became such a big thing in boxing to have a perfect record and it came over to the UFC.
I know it is too early, and really hot take, but Islam could be the GOAT in a couple years if he doesn’t pull a Khabib. Rn I can only see him getting better and defending his belt more and more. He’s the p4p right now and probably for the next fights unless a big upset happens. Although i cant see that happening since he is prob the most complete fighter in the present
I think Jon Jones is the GOAT. The fight against Reyes was not a robbery (1, 2 round Reyes won, 3rd was a draw, 4th for Jones and 5th was easy for Jones) The other close fight was vs Gustaffson (r.1, 2 for Gus but 3, 4, and dominated 5th round for Jones). The rest of his opponents got destroyed and Jon was clearly toying with them. He beat multiple big names. I don't think that Jon's personal life (car accident, weekends with cocaine) changes what he did for the sport. He's the most complete fighter in the world.
3rd round against Reyes was not a draw, Reyes clearly won on effective striking with superior volume and vastly superior impact, grappling was negligent and aggresion/octagon control are not a factor due to the clear dominance on the effective striking criteria.
dj for sure. he's kept winning in one where everyone is 10lbs + bigger, likely never taken steroids and was extremely donninant. jon jones has juiced throughout his career and mostly fought smaller opponents too. pound for pound, dj is the goat
Jon literally has title defenses against OSP and Chael who both have 17 Losses but khabib finished Justin & Dustin who are still ranked top 3 and ppl cry that he had a padded record.
I never really realized but yea besides boxing mma is the only sport that doesn’t have a clear goat Football: Messi Basketball: Jordan NFL: Brady Tennis: djokovic Golf: tiger
There is a goat and his name is demetrious johnson. Most title defenses, fought a whos who at flyweight, did it clean with no ped or troubles outside of fighting, even after losing a close fight against triple c he went to one fc and won their flyweight belt. Yea he lost the first fight against moraes and lost to cruz but he fought cruz at bantamweight and just got caught with a knee vs moraes. Hes is one of if not the best mma fighters ever.
if we look at just ability, i think Jones is the greatest FIGHTER of all time. He's well rounded with high fight IQ and beats people everywhere. But he is also a freak of nature athlete and always has the physical advantage (height and reach). I think DJ is the greatest MIXED MARTIAL ARTIST of all time. GSP is 2nd but i think DJ is the most well rounded fighter ever AND he is always the one at a physical disadvantage pretty much always fighting against the reach advantage.
You forgot about paddy pimblett. Clear goat. Chad behaviour to hold a high chin and take strikes like an amateur to make your opponent think his hits dont do nothin
1 - Demetrious Johnson (best fight style, most dominant, clean athlete, just lost by robbery or for size difference) 2 - Jon Jones (best record with 15 title wins but has close fights and a robbery against dominick reyes on it and has a very controversial fight style) 3 - George Saint - Pierre (dominant and great fight style but not good as DJ and Jones has a better Record) 4 - Islam Makhachev (He is very underated, he beated one of the best strikers of all time twice including one by KO, outboxed the best boxer, submited one of the best grapplers, and has a great fight style. he has a chance to be much higher in the future) 5 - Stipe Miocic (nice Record, 6 title wins, a good fight style and beated DC 2x) 6 - Daniel Cormier (best double champ ever and complete fight style 7 - Alexander Volkanovski (complete fight style, 6 title wins, beated Max Holloway 3x and aldo 1x and very dominant) 8 - Anderson Silva (best couter puncher ever, most dominat champion ever, i don't count his loses after the leg injury and bisping lost that fight) 9 - Khabib Nurmagomedov (most dominant fighter ever but is not complete and don't have many big nakes on the cartel) 10 - Alex Pereira (he is the best striker ever and i think he just need to prove himself in the ground to get one pf the best fight styles and he is about to became a 3 divison champion or the first guy to have a title shot in 3) Henry Cejudo, kamaru usman, Max Holloway, Izzy, Dominick Cruz and José aldo could be here
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Demetrious Johnson. One of the longest tenured champs in UFC history, moved to an overseas league with old school pride rules and adjusted to those to defeat some of the filthiest fighters alive on the opposite side of the world, and he's an extremely good ambassador for the sport. DJ requires more credit. He is the GOAT. If his resume isn't enough, he passes the eye test with flying colors. Dude is literally the perfect MMA fighter. Also, the argument that "you must be undefeated to be the goat" is rubbish for several reasons, chief among them is that fighters have different periods of their career, and some go from strength to strength, being so much better than their nearly unrecognizable former self. GOAT should definitely be about the peak of one's career, because 99.99999999% of fighters are going to have at least a loss or two in their career. Jones lost 2 fights at the end of his LHW tenure, but the judges said he won, otherwise he would be out of contention according to casual fans. He's the paper GOAT at best. For sure top 5, but he's the paper GOAT. Stepping up a division to fight the worst possible opponent to beef up your legacy is not impressive, every single fighter he faced at LHW was more skilled than Cyril Gane, and time is going to age this statement like a fine wine, Gane is not a good mixed martial artist. Dude played FIFA instead of training for God's sake. Khabib could've had it, but he left too many what-ifs, and he won't even call himself the GOAT, he's humble. He doesn't care if he's the GOAT or not, nor whether people recognize him as that or not. As far as primes go, GSP and Silva were unbelievable talents who most likely will never be matched in terms of their greatness again. Kamaru, you could argue, was like 75-80% of a GSP and Adesanya was 60-70% of an Anderson Silva, but they left their primes and definitely did not trail off the peak of their careers with any real promise of a return to former glory. Both are likely done as top tier, championship-grade fighters. One Honorable Mention I think has to be Volkanovski, and I think once he beats Topuria, people will be high off of him again. Everyone thinks he's "done" because he lost off the couch to a champion a division above his own, but he'll put that to bed soon.
Losses shouldn't matter when discussing GOATS. look at other sports and look at who's the GOAT in each sport Soccer: Messi, Ronaldo, whoever Basketball: MJ, whoever baseball: whoever it is. have all of them won every single game they were in: ABSOLUTELY NOT, and they're still praised for the best to do it. if losses don't count in other sports, why should it here? it should be about skill, technique, title defenses, ETC.
To me the UFC GOAT has to be GSP. It’s a toss up between him and Mighty Mouse, but GSP avenged both his losses, and was double champ, whereas DJ hasn’t been double champ, nor avenged all his losses. He does have two more title defenses, but it’s not like GSP lost the belt, he vacated. I do think DJ is the most skilled, but this is greatest of all time, not best of all time.
It's Mighty Mouse had his relationship with the UFC management not soured and he had never left, this debate wouldn't have existed, he probably wouldn't have lost to Cejudo if that wasn't the case and went up the weight class won the title and avenged his loss against Cruz probably. It would've been over
The GOAT cannot be undefeated, when you're facing the best of the best, eventually you'll lose. He is still human and all it takes is a single mistake to lose a figt
GSP is the GOAT in my opinion. Losses do not matter because he made up every single loss with a victory. To me, greatness isn't perfection. It is the ability to overcome trials and tribulations. He learned from his mistakes and became better because of them.

@@fenrir834probably talking about santos and the first Gustaffson fight
@@M3lon09Santos wasn’t a robbery whatsoever tbh. Jones won the Gustafson fight. Only Reyes was a robbery…
I don’t even like the guy but you’re really trying to find anything you can to convince yourself that Jones ain’t one of the goats lmao
To be fair to Khabib, he had the longest win streak in LW at 13 and the most title defences are tied at 3. A lot of ppl don’t want to put him in the GOAT convo because they felt like he ran away which is sad
I mean he got mentioned in the video. So he is in the goat convo. But 3 title defences vs 13 or 9 from Jones and Gsp is just to big of an difference.
It’s because he cut so much weight and never faced any decorated grapplers, so he was taking down strikers while having 30~50Ibs on them, Jones only cut 15 pounds in LHW.
and he fails to make weight
Technically Mighty Mouse is a champion in two weight classes
The Flyweight title in ONE is at 135 pounds
Henry cejudo beat DJ in his prime, and no one considers cejudo the GOAT, even in his own division
@@onzazalol1168 because it was a close fight many people think DJ won. Very well could have been something Dana orchestrated to get DJ out of there
@@cobaltjay9862 The fight was close but cejudo learned from their first fight and kept enough pressure and volume to have the edge over DJ but even if let’s just say it was a robbery, for someone to be even in the conversation of GOAT status, you should be able to steamroll through the best of the best in your prime, Aldo did it, Connor did it, GSP did it, Silva did it, Jones did it. And just to clarify I believe DJ is the most likable dude out of all of these names, been subscribed to his YT channel for 2~3 years now and I watch his content pretty consistently, but in a unbiased POV, I do have to say he does lack in aspects that other fighters excel at.
Rodtang is not the greatest Muay Thai fighter of all time, c'mon
Dude, Anderson was 40 when he started losing. He wasn't in his prime anymore. Only Daniel Cormier would have still beaten him regardless and he fought an older version of Anderson. Chris Weidman was the only fighter to beat Anderson in Anderson's prime. Only issue is both fights ended due to Anderson either playing around or due to an injury. Plus, Anderson Silva wanted to retire before they even made that fight.
Problem is Anderson was on PEDs
Another reason why I think Jon Jones would not be considered the goat would be that he only has a single fight in HW and that was against an incomplete fighter Ciryl Gane. Despite his dominant performance it's not enough to call him HW goat, if he has a few more big fights in HW it would solidify his legacy. Even his fight with Stipe Miocic if he wins won't make him the goat because Stipe is old and hasn't fought in forever.
it’s arguing the greatest fighter of all time not the heavy weight goat, his small achievement in a different weight class has nothing to with it
I’d say goat status would mean that they have success in other weight classes such as GSP having welterweight and middleweight because it shows fighter versatility between weight classes and different opponents.
@@jeffsmith2304 bro gsp had 1 fight at middleweight and beat michael bisbing won the title and retired, jones had 1 fight at heavyweight and won the title. they have both done the exact same thing at the 2nd weight class. what are you talking about
Gane is a better win than dogshit Bisping, bro you just contradicted yourself
Jon’s Light Heavyweight record > GSP’s career.
I would also add that Jones used his eye poke trick and the oblique kicks, the latter which have permanently crippled Thiago Santos
And Rampage too
I mean those are part of fighting
@mrsherlockbeast8725 eye pokes???😂
@@s66s46 yes
The oblique kicks are legal, I guess punches would have to be illegal the way they can break bones?
“Every fighter is on steroids” -Nate Diaz
Nope they aren't 😂
Yeah but it's about who got caught 😂
anyone with common sense knows you cant make it to the ufc without enhancements..
Can't blame Nate for thinking that when you look at his team mates and his brother have more failed drug tests than wins in the UFC
Just the fact alone that we have different weight classes makes it empirically impossible to definitely put one on top the other
The GOAT of MMA for me is Fedor Emelianenko.
I’ll say DJ
Khabib needs to stop being overrated, yes he dominated lightweight but he had perfect matchups, most of his career he fought nobodies, the 3 best people he beat are all strikers with bad wrestling, perfect matchup for him
But he beat Gaejie, Poirier, Michael Johnson, Barboza, Dos Anjos, Konnor.
And he beat all of them without a single drop of blood and barely been hit at all.
If that is not impressive, then I dont know what is)

None of these guys (Khabib, DJ, GSP, Silva, Jones, etc) is the GOAT, not even close. As GSP once said: THE REAL GOAT is yet to come, he may not be even born yet. The guys we are seeing now are just prototypes who are paving the way for him, and when he arrives, he is going to turn the sport upside down.

Calling Jones the GOAT is why people don't take MMA seriously.
Other legitimate sports have extremely low tolerance to any such BS. In the UFC, you have the president of the UFC fighting for roided cheats and calls them GOATs.

Cuz Tibau was clearly on PEDs and that fight was easily 30-27 Khabib. But Jones clearly lost first 3 rounds against Reyes.
It's Jones for me. I personally don't mind the steroids; people act like all his opponents have been clean, or that nobody else has ever juiced. The only one I consider to be even to him is DJ.
Exactly right, this stigma against steroid usage when every top level athlete can and will take them is absolutely retarded. If people want to sook and wine about gear then they shouldn’t compete it’s that simple.

Imo, losses dont matter as long as they are avenged, in fact it makes for a great storyline when a champion loses because of one of his own vices, before coming to realise his mistakes and making an effort to correct them and come back stronger than before.
My GOAT is Amanda Nunes, so underated but I can't find anything to take her from the number 1
After her, I put Anderson Silva... Most of the critiques about him are from things that happened when he was already old. Even the loss to Weidman happened when he wasn't in his prime... His only problem was to take too long to retire... And if he retired earlier, he would be criticized for retiring soon, as Nurmagomedov
Then, after him, I put John Jones... But tbh, it's mostly because I can't ignore his personal life and I find dirty the amout of eye pokes he scores.

if they survived round 1
round 2 same process repeats , takes them down and they get dragged into this feeling of they can't do anything against it
despite knowing his gameplan and training weeks to stop it
round 3 same over and over and over
eventually
ref stops or they get tapped out
they break mentally and physically or they survived all rounds being smeshed mercyless for 5 rounds and khabib wins on decision

his style was just unstoppable no matter who you are
If Jon Jones is the GOAT of UFC so Armstrong is the GOAT of cyclism
Been saying this for years, it's a rock-paper-scissors thing with who the GOAT is. You can make legit arguments for (and against) half a dozen different guys
the definite goat is GSP, most technical fighter, would beat ANY fighter if they met up at an even weight (yes even jones, since gsp would have to gain weight making him stronger) amazing striking AND grappling, and amazing fight iq
Jones has 11 title defenses btw not 13, 8 in his first reign as LHW champ and 3 in his second.
You forgot to give to Jon the “double champ” status too…
he won both on drugs
GSP = 🐐🐐🐐
GSP is closest to the GOAT status. He lose some fight but he get his revenge of his 2 losses anyway, that make him even greater. Also his personality, a role model of the sport.
For me the 3 GOATs are Jon Jones, Khabib Nurmagomedov, GSP...
Being undefeated in MMA just shows you didnt fight enough imo. It became such a big thing in boxing to have a perfect record and it came over to the UFC.
2 more defenses for Islam and I put him over Khabib
I mean you can still keep him above Khabib. He has clearly fought better opponents like Charles, Volk.
@@The_LostSky Khabib takes significantly less unnecessary damage. That's what makes Khabib different from Islam.
Lol jones gets outstruck nearly all the time he looks average in his prime the king of complete robberys and the biggest cheater in mma history
dj for sure. he's kept winning in one where everyone is 10lbs + bigger, likely never taken steroids and was extremely donninant. jon jones has juiced throughout his career and mostly fought smaller opponents too. pound for pound, dj is the goat
Jon literally has title defenses against OSP and Chael who both have 17 Losses but khabib finished Justin & Dustin who are still ranked top 3 and ppl cry that he had a padded record.
if u take away the osp and chael fights he still has more title defenses against better fighters
Are you serious
I never really realized but yea besides boxing mma is the only sport that doesn’t have a clear goat

Flyweight is a trash division with no names
if we look at just ability, i think Jones is the greatest FIGHTER of all time.
Another important thing about Mighty Mouse is they never let him get his belt back from triple C which is a crime
You forgot about paddy pimblett. Clear goat. Chad behaviour to hold a high chin and take strikes like an amateur to make your opponent think his hits dont do nothin
1 - Demetrious Johnson (best fight style, most dominant, clean athlete, just lost by robbery or for size difference)
2 - Jon Jones (best record with 15 title wins but has close fights and a robbery against dominick reyes on it and has a very controversial fight style)
3 - George Saint - Pierre (dominant and great fight style but not good as DJ and Jones has a better Record)
4 - Islam Makhachev (He is very underated, he beated one of the best strikers of all time twice including one by KO, outboxed the best boxer, submited one of the best grapplers, and has a great fight style. he has a chance to be much higher in the future)
5 - Stipe Miocic (nice Record, 6 title wins, a good fight style and beated DC 2x)
6 - Daniel Cormier (best double champ ever and complete fight style
7 - Alexander Volkanovski (complete fight style, 6 title wins, beated Max Holloway 3x and aldo 1x and very dominant)
8 - Anderson Silva (best couter puncher ever, most dominat champion ever, i don't count his loses after the leg injury and bisping lost that fight)
9 - Khabib Nurmagomedov (most dominant fighter ever but is not complete and don't have many big nakes on the cartel)
10 - Alex Pereira (he is the best striker ever and i think he just need to prove himself in the ground to get one pf the best fight styles and he is about to became a 3 divison champion or the first guy to have a title shot in 3)
Henry Cejudo, kamaru usman, Max Holloway, Izzy, Dominick Cruz and José aldo could be here
Everyone’s on PED’s Jon bones is the goat
Khabib easily the goat no debate
He's natural with 0 losses and beat a great fighters
DC?
didn’t even mention cm punk
Losses shouldn't matter when discussing GOATS. look at other sports and look at who's the GOAT in each sport
Soccer: Messi, Ronaldo, whoever
Basketball: MJ, whoever
baseball: whoever it is.
have all of them won every single game they were in: ABSOLUTELY NOT, and they're still praised for the best to do it.
if losses don't count in other sports, why should it here?
it should be about skill, technique, title defenses, ETC.
Amanda Nunes, GSP, Mighty Mouse. Anyone else is straight up wrong
Finally some love for the women's side as well.
It's Mighty Mouse had his relationship with the UFC management not soured and he had never left, this debate wouldn't have existed, he probably wouldn't have lost to Cejudo if that wasn't the case and went up the weight class won the title and avenged his loss against Cruz probably. It would've been over
I think overall GOAT is Conor.
0 title defenses 6 losses 2 fight losing streak lost 1-3 last 4 fights been knocked out twice submitted 4 times uses steroids asshole as a human
