Just wanted to thank you for doing this video. I just changed mine out by myself (just turned 69) so thanks for saving me a repair person fee! God Bless You!
Thanks very much for this video. It was exactly what I needed...clear and helpful. One one problem...the back of your fridge is unrealistically dust-free! ;-)
Can I jump the water valve to see how much water is comes out? If so how? I’d like to measure the amount of water per cycle because it’s hard to look in the icemaker while it’s installed.
Two questions, i may have switched the beige hose and the clear hose, how you pull them out of the compression fit. Secondly, when I push the the water lever the water comes out at the compression fitting. Why would that happen, is the water line frozen?
You should be able to push in on the fitting and the hose should come right out. It is possible that the line could be frozen and that is why it is coming out at the fitting or if you do have the hoses mixed up that could be causing the issue as well.
Question, what if, the water has a funky taste to it? I have replaced the water filter. The fridge is over 5 yrs old but was using local water from the city to just make ice and now I have installed Culligan water to the household but the water and ice have a funky smell coming from only the fridge
Hi When i take the copper of the water keep dripping in 1 and half hour non stop even I turn the main water of .What is problem .Can you help Please Thanks

Extremely helpful step by step guide. Thanks guys.
Wow - you make it looks so easy! Thank you for putting this together - very helpful!
They taught me how to fix my entire fridge, which is great since the ice the ice maker makes is amazing. It outlasts all other ice.
Thank you. I had the replacement part and this gave me the confidence to cut off those connectors. Working great now
Thanks! Worked on a frigid air. No water or ice. 15min install.

Awesome, glad the video helped! We do clean them up, so you guys can at least see the parts!
Thank you for the clear and simple instructions!
Awesome. Did this years ago. Great refresh. Thanks
You are welcome!
how much voltage is on those connectors? I want to know if there is anyway to apply a voltage so I can test the valve manually?
Amazing, thank you so much! You guys rock.
Pretty good video. Very helpful with one small comment. Not all the screws are 1/4 inch. Some are 5/16 inch on some models.
Yes thought the part I received was wrong. Thank you for the video
What do you do when one or two of the connector valves is still leaking??
Thanks for the video. Replaced the valve yesterday. Still have no ice. Water filter has been replaced recently. Any ideas what else it could be?
Did you ever find out what was wrong?
Thanks. Totally easy.
Thank you

Glad you got the valve installed!
Thank You for the information video
My valve functions properly but leaks at 2 of the push in connections, is a new valve my option to solve the issue?
You can check to make sure the water lines are seated properly, if they are then you will need to replace the water valve.
@@appliancepartspros Thanks for the reply! I did reseat the connections, time will tell

You may have an issue with the water lines in the fridge. How long ago did you replace the water filter?
@@appliancepartspros water filter was replaced about 1 month ago.
What is the model number of your fridge?
Hi When i take the copper of the water keep dripping in 1 and half hour non stop even I turn the main water of .What is problem .Can you help Please Thanks
Thanks!
can i still use the refrigerator with the water valve out,
Yep! You just may not be able to get water or ice.
What is the part number??
It's not that easy. The new tubing inserts always got some leaking . I have tried 3 and they all leak. The design is no good.
Water line does not stay in
Do you know the model number of your fridge? It is possible that the valve doesn't match the refrigerator's model number.
Water keeps popping out
Make sure the end of the water line is straight and has not jagged edges on it and make sure you are pushing it all the way in so it catches.
You forgot to turn the water back on….
