Over 40 years of shelling...I've found 4 Angel Wing shells. Always broken. To find a pair...oh my word! Congratulations, definitely a blessing. Okay...going to finish watching. But you've already hit the WOW factor! Amazing!
Thanks. I was out again today and there were tons of angel wings. I did not pick any because again I forgot to take a container to put them in lol. They are kinda fragile. Thanks for watching
Hello love shelling wit you. The large piece of broken shell you found was a queen helmet. Great find. And you also found a large piece of a turtle shell. Love the fabulous shark tooth you found in yesterday’s video.
A great video I would leave with arms full of them..the broken helmet was a keeper! Many of the shots could be made to prints I would have hanging on my walls!
The red shells are lightening whelks . I believe the red is from something they eat. Maybe? Like a flamingo gets its pink color from shrimp they eat. Sounds like an idea to me. LOL I too love Channeled Whelks . So beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. 😊 deb
I love shells, I am in Wisconsin so I cant shell, we dont have them here so I am shocked to say the least at how many gorgeous whelks and angel wings and you took what one step and found 5 sharks teeth? and the ghost crab, this is so exciting to watch. Thanks for sharing and taking us with you❤
These islands barely get people to walk on them. Someday I got there and sit my chair and listen to the nature. I have few cool video ideas soon. Stay tuned :)
The product you are talking about is called Acid Magic…that one big piece was definitely a Helmet, but I think the other was a Tun shell not a Scotch Bonnet.
You must be on a barrier island off the coast of South Carolina. I have never seen the whelks with the orange/red interiors anywhere but SC, blessings.
Thanks for watching. I do not charter. I just go out all over in my free time alone and sometimes with friends who have been going with me for years. There are some charter boats to other areas in Georgetown and Shem creek. Coastal Expeditions in mt pleasant is one of them.
No I don't. I just go with my regular friends who have been going for the last 10 years. Thanks for watching and comment. I have few cool ones coming soon too.
Your videos are great! I think you are near my home (Garden City, SC) and would love to get to those little islands where you shell! I make a lot of seashell crafts with my granddaughter but it takes a long time to find as many shells as you pickup in a few hours!
I am in Garden City area. Local guy. I go shelling with friends all the time. As a matter of fact I was just talking to a friend about Garden City pier. Love hanging out there. 8 more days :)
Looking forward to going to the pier again soon! Maybe we can meet up sometime and my son can learn about getting to the little islands. He has rented a boat before and is considering buying one for fishing.
I wear Muck Boots. I love them but soon I will have to wear only my Crock water shoes because is getting hot out. I would love to wear Muck but it gets too hot.
You can contact Coastal Expeditions in Shem Creek. They do shelling trips to some islands there. Good People to deal with too. :) Thanks for watching :) and happy shelling.
@@inletboy Thank you for the info. I looked up their website but did not see the shelling trip. Can you tell me what the name of the trip/tour is called?
