if only a certain international master with a delicious accent hadn't put out a thousand youtube videos on one chess opening that you could easily access and study and learn everything you need to know (and more) about one chess opening. such a shame.
@@sliceserve234 for people around 2k and over they may have viewed all of Alex jl videos already more than once actually. With that said people should understand this is probably going to be the best courses full stop and it'll be ready and done when it's done. So, when it is released the wait will be all worth it.
Not playing best moves just for the sake of learning proper strategy is very nice. I often get into awfully complicated positions after winning material through tricks. Winning pawns and going for a safe win was not something I used to do. After watching your videos I begin to understand the importance of just having an extra pawn. :)
Watching this guy play chess is like watching a Brazilian jiu-jitsu master to do jiu jitsu, he make it look like simple. You think you are no stupid. Then you try it and think you are the stupid.
EXACTLY. the JL opening is fine, but so are a million other openings, the hidden secret sauce here is an international master of chess with a keen sense for tactics and positional techniques that would make any opening he played look like a world beater.
I have been playing the Jobava London somewhat exclusively lately and against fellow 2000’s I’ve had a lot of luck over the board. I highly recommend learning all the variations and the ideas behind them… as they can change quickly in such a dynamic opening
As a long time wiever of the channel I really enjoyed when you played 100% accurate moves. Low elo games would let to quick finishes but could teach us how to convert winning positions and you could still focus on positional play in higher elo ranges. Nevertheless keep up the good work!
Knight e6 was a very nice find. I checked with the engine and it was the top engine move since g6, while still winning, gives them a single tempo to defend with knight b8 to d7 instead of recapturing. Apparently even after you take the pawn with check and drive the king out black isn't doing terribly.
I’d love to see some of the better moves in the opening to show how to take advantage instead of the sub-optimal alternatives personally. If I should be playing it in my games I want to see how they should play out. Either way I do love the content
Is there any ETA on the course? Rought time frame? 3 months, 6 months? I have chess new years resolutions and gotta get that Jobava courses! Also... I know you're a Caro guy but what are you're thoughts on the Pirc? I've found e4 players don't seem to know what to do and you often end the opening up a pawn.
Alex I think your videos are the best on TH-cam. I think I remember in previous videos you say to castle queens side in the Jabava London. You castled kings side, so in general do you castle kings side when you are doing the pawn storm in Jabava London?
Thanks to this channel, i beat a 1600 ELO 2 days ago, and got a draw using Jobava and Kann Caro. He suspected me of cheating, and wonder at my low ELO (1000) compared to my level of Play. I advised him immediatly to visit this channel. I hope he will do, if he's not too proud.
The honorable Alex Banzea - More couth than a cat at a creamery… Is it possible to request a video dedicated entirely to the Excalibur Knight? Occasionally I find myself puzzled, having not completely capitalized despite having the advantageous position.
As someone has commented, the last videos trying to be original instead of teaching the most natural moves for the rating range, are getting less didactic, at least for those under 1500. If we are learning an opening, rushing to the original moves is something that doesn't help to fixate que logic of the opening.
if youre under 1200 dont play the jobava london. you will not climb ratings with it. He wins because he is better than his opponents not because the opening is solid for players under 1200. Once you are fully devolped and in the middle game, you are on your own and you must know how to convert after that which is the difficult part. There are so many moves that opponents throw out that divert you from the mainlines which makes the JL not friendly for players under 1200.
Ive been following you for many years. Because of your instructive videos ive been able to create my own interactive caro kann course and have also had some very good games over the years with the jobava london. Just crossed 2000 finally! But...im lately encountering many roadblocks in the jobava london. I wish i could ask you directly. Ive combed every jobava london video you have made. Cant wait for your course. Curious what you think of some of danya and bortnyks ideas? Like the pawn storm....they get the knight to e5 first, for example
Alex, I still cry at night because your Jobava course isn't out yet
me too!

I never comment on videos but I just hit 1500 blitz because of your videos. THANK YOU so much dude. Please keep this up.
At the end of the video the guy goes "Thanks for making it all the way to the video." Man, I've been here almost 45 minutes

Thank you for making so much content for us these last weeks. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Keep the videos coming, Alex, your J. London and Caro are great
It was very instructive how Alex dealt with the pawn storm in the first game! The menacing pawns became harmless like a capybara.

Those videos are so addictive.. thanks man for all the effort
Cappybara london. Waiting for the course Alex!
“Center of the board” is 3 words. Got it!
32:56 what would you do if they played ba3 then attacked with queen?
No matter how many Jobava videos I watch, I still perform better with the Vienna. It just feels more intuitive
If I see Black 1 E6, should I swap the order and play my bishop before the knight, in case Black goes for the Owens defense instead of the French?
You are the Man Alex!!!
Best chess channel on TH-cam
another awesome video! tysm, cant wait for your jobava course...
Yes...keep reminding us to like! Without your reminder - I'm always forget! Great vids - thanks.
Capybara London!
This vid is lubricated with awesome tactics. Carry on. :D
Raspberries for apples! Cracked me up!
When is your chess course coming online? I am waiting so long for it.
6:12 1.N×P P×N, 2.B×P followed by 3.N-d5-g4.
Your opponents are going to have nightmares of Capybaras.
Finally passed 1000 elo playing the Jobava and the CK..appreciate it!
Great video Mr Banzea!
Please share where you obtained that coffee cup!
I win a lot of OTB games by putting the bishop on the second rank, a/h file. People always forget about it and it comes in clutch at the end.
can anyone understand what this guy just said??
@@sliceserve234yes it makes perfect sense
He puts the bishop on the bottom left / bottom right squares near the rook
Alex, the mustache suits you! You look like someone who would dominate the chessboard-just don’t let the mustache be your queen’s gambit
Hi Alex - Capybara Lubrication is the word of the day
Bro gimme the link of that cup it looks Cool
Love your videos
The Badur Capybara brought me my first OTB Tournament W thanks to you my Mentor and online Trainer ❤😅

Capybara (Jobava) London
Alex, is that a stache I see?
Im 1260 usualy i play e4 and than random movies following the open principles. I will try this opening hoping to climb to 1300
Good video!
At 12:57 I like Bd6 instead of Qxc7. 🙂
Now I've done it
How does this compare with London System for low elo players? I'm playing Alex' London and Caro systems. I have both courses.
nice to meet so many men of culture
Capybara !!!!!!! I really look forward to your video's you are by far my favorite chess streamer

Why does every 900 have some pet line against the jobava or london??? Like every opponent plays anything but D 5
wow, capibara cup is so cool
Vienna content is gathering dust. We need it refreshed 😢
4:40 What if they go Ne4 after you've already moved your knight (instead of trading like they did)?
castle is good!
@@AlexBanzea But don't you still lose the pawn with no compensation after the knights trade and double your pawns?
@@timm439 You don't lose the pawn

which chess openings require you to take out a mortgage? i thought i knew how banking worked, but i guess not. ;)
what if they dont take in the central pawn storm and just slide the bishop back? is it advisable to push or take
I'd just maintain the tension and wait for an oportunity later

A suggestion of a video that would be great : a video of when NOT use the Jobava and ways to switch to other openings ;)
Like the police knocking at 3 a.m.
