More series ideas: 1) Win at Chess Gambits Edition - Win at chess, but only gambits allowed 2) Steamingrolling Subscribers - a series where you try to win as many games as possible in 1.5 hours, moving up the elo bracket each episode (500 elo, 600 elo, 700 elo etc.)
In 6:38 if white had played Nd2 then would have been bad because after black plays Nxd4 then white can not play NxBe4 because you have a night sacrifice by playing Nf3+ which is a discovered attack on the queen with your rook and white can not defend his queen because he is in check. In 9:50 white could have escaped the fork by playing Rc4 which would move his rook out of danger (the c4 square is well protected by two pawns so the queen can not capture) and black would be able to play Nxb4 and take the bishop because he would lose his queen. In 11:50 you made the right move, but I think that it is worth to point out that if you had played Be4 instead of Rb4, white would probably make a one-mover by playing g3 which would blunder Mate in one because that would allow you to play Rh8# and end the game. In 45:14 if white plays Qd4 then he just blunders his light squared bishop because after he moves his queen she is no longer guarding the b3 square.
I saw you interviewed on Lex's show so I checked out your channel. I love this video series. I have always wanted to see into a top player's thinking process during a live game. This has been so enlightening for me. What I particularly like is the casual way that you identify and deal with the various unknowns in a move or position. You think critically about it, but you don't sweat what you don't know/see at the moment. I realize I've spent too much of my chess life agonizing over finding "the one perfect move" in every position, and not appreciating the flow of the game.

I think it’s because it’s a system type of opening, making pretty much the same moves regardless of what your opponent does. Also, it can be difficult to attack it when done right

Obviously not all at once but the point is long ago I finished watching every video on his channel despite finding him years after he started making videos. Sometimes I just put on random videos I've already seen in the background just because I like hearing him talk. I've seen him comment on this multiple times like why would a mf watch a chess video without looking at it, which I honestly understand for new videos, but if you've already seen the video then it's nice to listen to content you like and are comfortable with. Especially if your main focus is something else. Anyway, got away from myself, point was please make more long form content. Whatever you make I'm gonna watch it multiple times through.
59:47 Taking the rook isn’t bad when it’s +3 on material already. The queen will get trapped but you’ll end up taking the other rook too and be +4, albeit behind in development. Just need to get king side castled asap then.

After reading your book I gained 123 elo points in the last 30 days. I think the most helpful parts were the openings, and especially calculation. I make much less blunders now, and I am almost 1000 elo! I am now reading a tactics book to refine skills I learned from you. Thank you for the masterpiece :)
Just gotta say, I have yet to test the chess bot, but I love the idea. I've been doing drill shuffle on survival to learn the Vienna and the Caro, and it's extremely helpful. Thank you for continuing to improve the service! Cheers bro, hope you're doing well.
In the fourth game you could've played bishop a6 protect the queen if queen takes takes with the bishop and the rook can't escape and if he doesn't take your queen you take the rook and if he traps you, you block with the bishop❤⭐🎉♟️
54:33 I recently did a rook sacrifice near their castled king, not threatening anything by itself, but it was a mistake because they could either give a check with their queen or take a bishop near the middle of the board. They took the rook in 2 seconds Kxh7, so I played Qh5+ and their g6 pawn couldn't take because it was pinned by the bishop. M2
I would absolutely love if someone made a bot where it plays the opening you want and you can choose how it plays. Does it choose the most popular move the best move or something like that. as a 1450 I'd say i like Rec8 more and that was the first move i saw along with Bc5 (46:07), reasoning is; it is better to place rooks in open file and half open file, rather than both rooks in half open files, also it is better to face opponent's pawn than our own (generally) when it comes to placing rooks in half open files
Hey Levy, could you maybe make a short on how to checkmate with a bishop and a knight? I was wondering if there is any good pattern to it like there is for king and queen or king and rook.
I just tried the Levi bot and it was helpful, I like that it suggests drills from specific positions as well. He played moves comparable to people at my level on the medium setting. He does make some wildly obvious blunders though but I guess people at my level do that sometimes too lol
