Why are the Focus and VW a benchmark in this class? VWs used to be good, now they're crap. They're really overpriced and the interior quality is not that great. I'd pick a Hyundai i30 any day before a Focus or overpriced overrated golf!
I love the way you do car reviews. Ive been a fan of the ford focus as it is very fun to drive. Now thar I am confused between buying a ford focus 1.6 tdci, a golf 6 1.6 tdi or a hyundai 1.6 crdi. Which one do you think is better to keep for a 5 years period of time
Hi, thank you for your comment - we would recommend the Hyundai i30 because it's better built than the Ford and more affordable to maintain than the Volkswagen.
Mazda 3 and 6 diesel engines have double the power and torque and the same fuel economy, so that's not particularly stella performance from the i30 Skyactive diesel specs; 130 kilowatts of power at the wheels along with 420NM of torque, and 71 mpg at the pumps top speed 140 mph!, And the Mazda 6 is a big sleek well designed and good looking saloon not some sardine can
And the Mazda Diesels are literal hand Granades, can’t sell them second hand because people know, people have had multiple engines replaced by the dealers only to have them shit themselves again, wouldn’t touch a Mazda Diesel with a barge pole.. petrol on the other hand, go your hardest !!

My 2012 i30 still running perfectly. Have had to spend nothing on it about from replacing tires and one set of brake pads.
