My assumption is: (under read more cuz light spoilers) At some point the plan was to have Varni look like her heavily-implied-to-be-sister Vinaya, but after working on the Sexy Goblin DLC for Hedon, Vostyok couldn't draw her as anything but a big tiddy mutie GF. The writers were not notified of this before sending the script off to the VA and given Hard Reset was more than a little rushed, the line stayed in. :V
