best spot in the whole game, before quitting out i always warped back here and reflected on what i'd accomplished in the play session for a while. and that way it'd be the first thing i saw when loading back in. just might be my favorite location in any game, and its just a corner of the hub

That moment, when Vendrick realized there was nothing he could do. Nothing, with all the strength, all the souls in the world, to fix the curse.
He discovered what Gywn did, and realized he couldn't break the cycle; the flame would go on, he would hollow, and mankind would remained a puppet.
This theme is almost reminiscent of that hopelessness. The strange, off notes as the void stretched out before you. It is like there is hope, but you know it is unreachable, just hanging there to taunt you.

nothing beats majula. the beautiful scenery. it's awe inspiring, yet...empty. almost like looking at a fossil of a bygone age. how the sunset still looks beautiful in this dying world. there's nothing but rubble and ruins of a time that has long past by. it's longing for something.
