I love Dark Souls' more relaxing tracks, they've been intriguing to me ever since I first started playing the games; being able to find peace in a world designed for pain is something you usually see in horror games, but Dark Souls is able to use this same concept effectively.

Majula's theme always tugs my heart a little. I will never forget that bliss of staying up on a school night as a kid playing this, good times man
Majula is like the safe place in scary and dangerous world. Eternal, beautiful sunset and calm music.
Honestly, Majula is the most appealing hub area in any of the Souls games. Only other area that really comes close is the Hunter's Dream(aesthetically speaking, at least), amd mayyyyyybe Firelink Shrine.
Gotta love the fact that its also THE MOST replayed part of this video! Majula FTW
@@_mellosinealso another aspect which makes it such an affective hub in that sense is that Majula is actually a safe haven too, like firelink shrine enemies can follow you back there

I remember I lived in a house with a lot of my friends at one point. The commons room had a ps3 with various dark souls titles on it, and for a short while we were glued to them. A friend saw me dying way too much, and decided to show me the ropes. That's how I learned to not die as much and really play the game. I rolled invaders and beat the Fume Knight eventually, and it made me fall in love with the whole series, and take special time to play each iteration. I love these games, I love my friends, and I love being alive.

Seriously tho this series is such an experience that no other soulslike captures this well (I'm looking at you mortal shell!!)

DS Character creation music is such a magical experience, I remember a friend of mine managed to get us two copies of the limited addition 2 weeks before release, I came home and my family was out and the house was very quite, I loaded the game and spend so much time on the character creation just blown away and so excited since Demon’s Souls was my all time favorite.

Back in the 90s I use to record the music coming through my stereo on tape😆😆 and play it low at night and man...my mind would just wonder in beautiful landscapes , again thank you so much, it's awesome to see people have the same interests, so glad to be here

Firelink shrine (DS) may be the most beautiful sad song of video games of all time. Majula firelink is so iconic also
Demon's Souls menu theme is so out of this world. I really wish they kept the ost for the remastered version.

I love Dark Souls music, but honestly, most of the playlists I've found aren't really good, songs don't match or feel disconnected, but this playlist does everything so well, it's totally immersive!

Been listening to this since Xmas as my song of ice and fire listening while I read… I even hop on Elden ring just to have my character doff his knights armor and don the casual robes and sit by the cask (of mulled wine) and fire place in ofnirs chamber for extra ambience paired with this playlist

Sure do. This and Silent Hill ambience have been my main go-to's for writing for quite a while. Stars of the Lid are great, too; if you like this sort of stuff you should check them out -- 'And Their Refinement of The Decline' is especially immersive.
