I just bought the HS80, I had a refurbished pair of the Virtuoso SE from a Best Buy, but they wouldn't charge up, so I sent them back. I think the Virtuoso and HS80 sounded the best in terms of your Demo. The others sounded closed in and the Corsairs sounded more natural. I do miss the Virtuoso's ability to take off the Microphone.

Hey bro nice review , I didn’t know this existed until today! , thanks man for covering the HS80 in the channel. Quick question, I was looking to get the Virtuoso XT, but the ear cups on the HS80 is turning my head to it, I’ve heard about after market earcups for the Virtuoso which ones have you tried / recommend?
Because it just launched today! I’d check and see the reviews on the earcups on Amazon for the virtuoso
First review that isnt excited about the HS80… funny how you always can find someone who has something to complain about. It goes to show that you cant really use these reviews to much, since there are so many factors playing in to a review of this sort

I returned my Arctis 7+ for the Corsair HS80 and i’m so happy I did. The Arctis are tinny with very bad directional sound and distorted bass. I could not hear foot steps at all and the EQ is useless

So it sounds like for $150 you get a microphone that's better than the virtuoso ($239) Penrose ($299) Mobius ($499) and Cloud 2 ($199) and it comes with Dolby.
I wouldn't say crazy better......almost the same.....Mobius is the best in my opinion but for the money this is dope!
@@DetroitFury oh no doubt Audeze is going to have the best top tier headset. I just ordered this headset after hearing the mic test on a few different reviewers. I don't have Audeze kind of money to spread around lol

The microphone on the HS80 sounds WAY better than any of the other headsets you're comparing it to. First headset I've heard with a decent sound from the microphone. The mic on the JBL is horrible. The mobius is decent, but thin sounding.
It's a great mic for sure.....I like the mobius and the virtuoso better

I am using the HS70 since about 1 year and I have a lot problems with the charging,with sound and software.That´s why I would consider buying the HS80.

How would you compare the sound and comfort between the HS80 and the G933? I'm looking to upgrade as my G933 is getting old, but I love the dolby atmos sound of it. I was looking at your review of the JBL quantum 800, but not being able to charge whilst gaming is a deal breaker for me (as I can be forgetful at times). Also, that mic sounds terrible.
Both are super comfortable.....u can use the quantum 800 while it's dead though through a wired connection fyi

do you too when you load the hs80 does the green light flash and not red? then I also noticed that the microphone rod remains red, as if they were practically loaded with the headphones on.

Yes....but for the money the jbl quantum 800 is the best
The money is not à concern, i already own the three of them and can't décide witch one is the Best between the penrose and the HS80 (the quantum for me is kind of hollowed in therm of clarity) , to me with proper eq setting on atmos the Hs80 and the penrose are almost identical so I'm looking for someone to tell me if it's my ears that goes wrong or else XD
I'm sending you the EQ i manage to use on the HS80 if you are willing to try and give me your feelings. I've found by usage that we must lower the EQ on the 100-500Hz range by a small margin to gain clarity on this headphone

Would you dare say this is a decent upgrade compared to the Razer Nari Essential? Planning on upgrading from that and all I need is just a really good audio quality and I noticed that this came out! Microphone doesn't really matter for me as I have a standalone mic

I had the Logitech pro x. What sucks is that it can only do wireless, not wired, and it requires a computer application software to make it's mic sounds decent.
The only thing I think is good about them are that they're more comfortable than the Corsair virtuosos and come with more accessories. However it's possible that the Corsair HS80s may be more comfortable than the Logitech's
overall, both the Corsair virtuosos and HS80 are cheaper than the Logitech, can do both wired and wireless, sounds way better when wired, and have way better mic quality out the box.
Hs80 or the original virtuoso I just got the virtuoso thinking of maybe I should exhange them for theses…input?
Original virtuoso for me….as long as you swap out the earcups….mic is much better and it’s detachable

Not much.....the 800 I like better because it's wireless but the the quantum one has head tracking technology and a detachable mic

@@DetroitFury actually i did. I like to use sidetone but when you enable it you cant use Anc. And IF you use anc it makes weird noises when you move your head. But that is not the problem. 2 biggest problems i have is the mic is very loose and the sound is not very crisp/to much bass. I had stealth 700 and cloud stinger wireless. They both sound better if you ask me.
That's interesting to me....but everyone's is different when it comes to preferences...especially sound.....mine doesn't make those weird noises and I don't use sidetone.....only thing I hate about the quantum 800 is the mic not being detachable 😫....
I'm gonna cut it off with pliers 🤣
But for the money nothing out there even comes close....and I've used and owned pretty much everything else....mobius and penrose are my next favorites with the cloud orbit s but those are double the price if not more
