My ex husband was like him. I lived 13 years under his pressure. I got 4 kids from him. I lived all 13 years with hope that he might be change but he didn’t. One day I took all my kids and I just left him while he was at work. I didn’t said any thing I just ran. Now about 10 years I didn’t see him or talk. Now I’m so happy with the kids with life. My best best wonderful day was when I left him. Thanks God.

I was in a abusive relationship with my son’s father. The abuse started while I was pregnant and continued throughout my entire pregnancy. The abuse continued after our son was born. Eventually I got the strength to leave which was the best decision I’ve ever made! Ladies if he’ll hit you once he’ll do it multiple times leave while you can!!!

I lived with my husband for 7 years of emotional abuse. I didn’t know it was emotional abuse unless I was in therapy after I left him. When he realized I was not coming back, he tried to take my life with a kitchen knife. He served 14 years for that incident. It’s been over 23 years since that happened . We have 3 children together. My youngest son who was 3 years of age witness the incident which affected him in a negative way. I got him the services he needed and he is doing great.
It is the way true love works. It can look past abuse. Only it becomes unhealthy to continue to allow abuse to thrive. Honestly, there was a time that God looked past the sins of men. He winked at it. Then He called all to become accountable. That is what people who are abused need to learn to do. Please do not scold them. Pray for them. Ask God's mighty hands to move on their behalf. This is more constructive and it takes only a little bit of your time. Anyone can pray to God for someone else. Let us do this for others that we know are in trouble.
Whew, I couldn’t finish the movie because it is soooo much like what I went through. 17 years and I finally left and the divorce was recently finalized. I thank You Lord for deliverance.
Whenever i flashback about what my mum passed through it really goes hand in hand with what this man is doing,I thank God because she walked out of the abusive marriage,and now we are okay.
I am a domestic violence survivor. I lost my home, my job and so called friends due to domestic violence. After I left my ex he ended up stalking me, that went on for 18 months. I had no one to help me but I'm grateful that I had a friend that knew how to pray. And her prayers all the way from West Virginia saved my life. It’s not always physical abuse. It comes in many forms... financial, emotional, verbal, social isolation, and gaslighting. It’s extremely difficult to walk away from the comforts of your home and to be uncomfortable going from motels, shelters to that of family members homes. But, it’s only uncomfortable for a short term. Life is so much more than to hold onto a dysfunctional relationship. Whomever, produced this film...thank you🤩

The first 2 were good...after that times flies so fast when your with a control person who I call a Narcissist. They will always play the victim or hero. But never the villian.. Broken promises that they will change or stop. It's just buying time for them, until we know our worth and don't need to be treated like this by any one. Be strong. Very powerful first scenes. So glad they portrayed the actress struggling to even get up from the beating. The whole scene with the make-up to cover the abuse is very true to reality also with her boss trying to get her to own up to what is happening. Movies often portray physical abuse as being a breeze for the victim and that they just get up, dust themselves off and get on with their day and we know that isn't true. It's incapacitating both physically and mentally to realise that you're allowing someone who claims to love you hurt you day in and day out. Surprisingly good movie, I'm impressed.
The fear of starting all over is what keeps most women in these abusive relationships thinking they're doing what's best for the kids. The manipulation as well, he beats up on you (sometimes emotionally) then begs for forgiveness the next day. Oh God, it's horrible when love goes wrong
I remember this movie. I watched it again, it’s really sad to see how so many excuses are made to protect these abusers. Woman in danger, kids in danger. Just a all around bad situation. I can’t imagine what it must be like to endure physical abuse. All I can say is I thank God for the men on my family. They always kept a watchful eye over who I’m with and what did or didn’t transpire. In this movie I like the friend Heather and her Sister. We all need strong women on our team.

I stayed in a abusive relationship with my kids dad for 10yrs just because I wanted my kids to grow up with both parents because I didn't. He abused me physically but verbally, mentally & emotionally even more. It's worse for kids to grow up in a dysfunctional home than by a single parent. The kids and I had wonderful peace and joy when i finally got rid of him. I'm so grateful for how far God has brought me. I thought I was stuck forever...but God♥️
Please it is never advisable to stay in any abusive relationship because of kids, you are either creating victims or abusers. I notice the signs and save up money, took my daughter and run. It was so uncomfortable sharing bills with my family, but worth it

Great movie. Men who are abusive are quick to apologize like they don't know what they're doing. They're very dangerous, wicked more than we know them. I was abused mostly verbally that i end up losing my self esteem because i was now seeing myself as i am not beautiful like other women. Thank God i left and now focusing on myself and my son.
This is a very powerful movie. I know someone who going thru this right now. I tell her all the time that she needs to leave. I also experience this many times as a kid. I'm one of the few men who don't believe in domestic abuse.
Watching this movie and praying for all those women who are trapped in quarantine with their abusers. May God give them strength and courage to walk away. I am a child of an abusive husband/parent. It was hell.

It's sad to live in an abusive relationship I lived it for 10 yrs all I did was pray to God to give me the strength to walk out , until 1 day I did it took me 1 yr to get over him , this is nothing easy for a woman especially if u love him with all your heart.

My ex hit me and found out very quickly the secret that I had been hiding from him. Which is , I take 3 different mental medications at 1800 mg daily and I have 2 psychiatrists and 1 therapist. Cops pulled up and he ran to the cops screaming help please . They thought he had been attacked by another man but tried to remain professional and keep from laughing when they seen I'm 5'2 and he is 6'3...and he looked like he had been attacked by a gang 😩. We both got arrested 😩. Word is he is still in therapy and won't date any girl name "Keisha".
My Ex was just like this one. What a life. I had to escape to a domestic violence shelter, after I sold my house. I went underground. Thank God he is now deceased.

What a wicked monster and sad to say I know his kind, my first boyfriend was like him and others after him...I was an abused child and these are the kind of men that were around me besides also being rapists....I thank and praise God that He intervened in my life saved me and showed me that I was worth something and I did not deserve to be abused...I am blessed and grateful to be alive today...To God be the glory and I pray for any one enduring abuse of any kind to get away and get help I am also so glad for the survivors and pray they seek God and his healing💕
I was also in a abusive relationship with my daughter’s father and the abuse started a month or two after I married him. The abuse continued for two years and eventually I got the strength to leave which was the best decision I’ve ever made for myself and my daughter as I seen what it was doing to the both of us.

I have experienced as well and it breaks my heart knowing so many other has endured and feel know way out. I recall a friend's mother was being abused . The sister in laws told him once, do not put your hands on my sister . Well idiot didn't listen. The two sister in laws beat trap out of sending him to the hospital with both broken arms and one broken leg. After weeks of hospitalization, mr bad ass moved back to his home state SC and never told the truth about his injuries. Hats off to his promise keeping sister in laws

i was also in an abusive relation. my ex boyfriend would hit me for every single argument we could get in. i thought he was under pressure from work but i was wrong. one day i just woke up and moved out. it was the most painful thing to do but with time i got better and better.

I was married for a year, this man started to emotionally tormenting, putting control over me, very possessive, getting me scared of him after 3 months within our marriage. One time we had an argument and he said something nasty to me and I answered him back and he didn't like it. So he went to get his gun and cameback to me and told me to repeat what I've just said. I just stood there frozen. That same month I left him. Then he divorced me. Three years later he killed a new wife of his and her two daughters with a bullet right in their skulls. I saw that on the News on T.V., and I went down on my knees and thanking GOD for saving me. It could have been me back then.

Yes Karen Wyatt,only someone coming from an abusive relationship will understand your comment, l understand, l still have scars that just opened while watching this movie from the opening scene,l remember how my ex hus beat me up,so hard,bt l couldn't leave,why l thought he will change,he never did,until l gathered my courage and dated someone, (bad move l know),that's when l ran away far away with someone else,thank God he found me after years,l was pregnant, he was married several times,that guy never changed,right now he just came out of jail,he raped a young girl same age as our daughter 10yrs, lm even afraid to let her see my daughter, he loved me so much and beat me hard,every time he used to apologize and l used to fall for it then start again

It was verbal abuse , and we argued back and forth all the time ,and he would say some crazy stuff like I would come up missing like that Peterson woman,or he would say that he had a bullet for himself and me. I had to be kind to him and be straight home from work which was five minutes away . I had to listen to certain music , wear certain clothes ... We never had kids together then One day , I kindly packed my bags ,and never looked back after the twelve hours drive ....
Wow I was abused by my first and second husband and with the second one I started fighting back until it got so bad I almost killed him that was my cue to leave. I couldn't see myself being away from my kids so I was glad when we went our separate ways. Thank God I haven't been in an abusive relationship since. It is so sad how men treat women they say they love. They really need to get some help!
I definitely can relate to parts of this movie. My marriage was abusive, mostly verbally, emotionally, mentally. It was physical once lets be clear ladies, it doesn't have to be a slap or punch. A shove, grabbing you, pushing thats physical. My point is it was enough that one time, to show me that he will put his hands on me in anger. The truth is I saw the signs of anger before we got married. He had so many good qualities, that I accepted the most detrimental quality which was abusive. I decided one day that my peace of mind is priceless, and I wasn't in a healthy situation. I made a decision to leave while he was at work and I never looked back. I was so over it. I knew the longer I accepted it, the longer it would go on. Starting over wasn't easy, but I told myself either leave on your own or in a body bag or ambulance. I'm saying that to say whoever may be in an abusive situation get out! You only have one life and it shouldn't be in fear.
I can relate to this movie. I left my ex husband while I was pregnant when he left the house to go to work. I got away and told my parents. I felt so humiliated telling them what happened but I had to keep me and my unborn son safe. It wasn't easy but necessary. I don't believe in living in fear.
That's true because my first marriage was like that. They like you to not be close to anyone that can help you first. Make sure you stay in and tell people lies about you so behind your back while you're not communicating with anyone and he is then they think it's you trying to stay away from them or it's you with something against them. On the other hand they make you feel like everyone is against them. Those are the crazy ones. So now they can just pick at your ego or your mind. Everybody thinks this is a good person. So yes when you finally leave with nothing it still feels better to start over without the abuse. Anyway after that watch out for the nice guys especially if you have children because if they are not evil to the kids and get you to trust them then it may be the kids they are secretly targeting. Especially when they know you love them. Or this may just be a sneaky child rapist. Seems like I ran into both. But I don't know which one is the worst. So after you meet enough and can't even get rid of the first abuser because you have kids by him, they want you alone and after you are finally alone until your kids grow up because you don't trust nobody that's probably the safest way to be because everybody will know you for who you are. The only thing the abusers their minds stay in that same place never changing. So if they don't die and you have to live around them that's about the worse you have to put up with, trust me they will stay at it no matter how their or your lives have changed. Even when other people finally get what you have been going through, they just join in to tell you how terrible that person is but, the way they want to and they continue to deal with them like they enjoy this fool. I think the whole time they know you were a good person but they had to do something against you so a lie would reflect on you so people can't see who they are for real. It takes other people a lot of proof to see what you were, going through with them or talking about from the beginning that they narcissistically, and manipulated and gaslighted others and caused the things to happen to the whole relationship. I can't believe how close to home this movie has hit. I mean the only thing I'm missing are my babies. I have NOTHING but the upmost RESPECT and LOVE for every Woman who had the strength to get out. I recently just got out of an IDENTICAL situation. I finally got the courage to go Nov 30, 2021. After my ex beat me so bad I ended up in the hospital ALONE Nov 25 2021 while my twins I was pregnant with fought for their lives but we lost the fight Nov 26, 2021 I left the hospital and never went back home he searched high and low for me Shooting outside my sister house shot my friend windows out and even went as far as trying to plan my death calling the police saying I video called him and over dosed had the police looking for my dead body all through the apartment. Security stayed downstairs from my apartment and told them I hadn't been there and what's been going on because of that my ex targeted the man which was an police officer and Security In my complex by the end of that day Dec 22, 2021 my ex was shot dead by that same officer after attacking him and leaving countless messages on my vm about killing me. Crazy thing this man in this movie looks just like him bottom lip and all (I loved his bottom lip). I loved that man and unfortunately I couldn't find a way out before costing my babies their lives and I hate that my weakness caused others around me pain. Even the officer who is now fighting for his freedom because of this. I was post to be dead he kept trying and if he wasn't stopped he wouldn't have stopped until I was. My life is wrecked with lots of pain now and I'll never be able to carry children again because of it. I lived with my husband for 7 years of emotional abuse. I didn’t know it was emotional abuse unless I was in therapy after I left him. When he realized I was not coming back, he tried to take my life with a kitchen knife. He served 14 years for that incident. It’s been over 23 years since that happened . We have 3 children together. My youngest son who was 3 years of age witness the incident which affected him in a negative way. I got him the services he needed and he is doing great.

Very powerful first scenes. So glad they portrayed the actress struggling to even get up from the beating. The whole scene with the make-up to cover the abuse is very true to reality also with her boss trying to get her to own up to what is happening. Movies often portray physical abuse as being a breeze for the victim and that they just get up, dust themselves off and get on with their day and we know that isn't true. It's incapacitating both physically and mentally to realise that you're allowing someone who claims to love you hurt you day in and day out. Surprisingly good movie, I'm impressed.

I can’t imagine what it must be like to endure physical abuse. All I can say is I thank God for the men on my family. He abused me physically but verbally, mentally & emotionally even more. It's worse for kids to grow up in a dysfunctional home than by a single parent. The kids and I had wonderful peace and joy when i finally got rid of him. I'm so grateful for how far God has brought me. I thought I was stuck forever...but God♥️

Great movie. Men who are abusive are quick to apologize like they don't know what they're doing. They're very dangerous, wicked more than we know them. I was abused mostly verbally that i end up losing my self esteem because i was now seeing myself as i am not beautiful like other women. Thank God i left and now focusing on myself and my son.

My ex hit me and found out very quickly the secret that I had been hiding from him. Which is , I take 3 different mental medications at 1800 mg daily and I have 2 psychiatrists and 1 therapist. Cops pulled up and he ran to the cops screaming help please . They thought he had been attacked by another man but tried to remain professional and keep from laughing when they seen I'm 5'2 and he is 6'3...and he looked like he had been attacked by a gang 😩. We both got arrested 😩. Word is he is still in therapy and won't date any girl name "Keisha".

The abuse continued for two years and eventually I got the strength to leave which was the best decision I’ve ever made for myself and my daughter as I seen what it was doing to the both of us.

The two sister in laws beat trap out of sending him to the hospital with both broken arms and one broken leg. After weeks of hospitalization, mr bad ass moved back to his home state SC and never told the truth about his injuries. Hats off to his promise keeping sister in laws

I was married for a year, this man started to emotionally tormenting, putting control over me, very possessive, getting me scared of him after 3 months within our marriage. One time we had an argument and he said something nasty to me and I answered him back and he didn't like it. So he went to get his gun and cameback to me and told me to repeat what I've just said. I just stood there frozen. That same month I left him. Then he divorced me. Three years later he killed a new wife of his and her two daughters with a bullet right in their skulls. I saw that on the News on T.V., and I went down on my knees and thanking GOD for saving me. It could have been me back then.

Yes Karen Wyatt,only someone coming from an abusive relationship will understand your comment, l understand, l still have scars that just opened while watching this movie from the opening scene,l remember how my ex hus beat me up,so hard,bt l couldn't leave,why l thought he will change,he never did,until l gathered my courage and dated someone, (bad move l know),that's when l ran away far away with someone else,thank God he found me after years,l was pregnant, he was married several times,that guy never changed,right now he just came out of jail,he raped a young girl same age as our daughter 10yrs, lm even afraid to let her see my daughter, he loved me so much and beat me hard,every time he used to apologize and l used to fall for it then start again

I left my husband ten years ago because he was psycho. It was verbal abuse , and we argued back and forth all the time ,and he would say some crazy stuff like I would come up missing like that Peterson woman,or he would say that he had a bullet for himself and me. I had to be kind to him and be straight home from work which was five minutes away . I had to listen to certain music , wear certain clothes ... We never had kids together then One day , I kindly packed my bags ,and never looked back after the twelve hours drive ....
So did the aunt stay in jail? It would have been a great ending to see her come out of jail hugging her sister and nieces. Great movie 👍🏼

Wow I was abused by my first and second husband and with the second one I started fighting back until it got so bad I almost killed him that was my cue to leave. I couldn't see myself being away from my kids so I was glad when we went our separate ways. Thank God I haven't been in an abusive relationship since. It is so sad how men treat women they say they love. They really need to get some help!

As homemade as this movie is, it is still emotional. I would never stay with a man like that and make my kids live through that
I definitely can relate to parts of this movie. My marriage was abusive, mostly verbally, emotionally, mentally. It was physical once lets be clear ladies, it doesn't have to be a slap or punch. A shove, grabbing you, pushing thats physical. My point is it was enough that one time, to show me that he will put his hands on me in anger. The truth is I saw the signs of anger before we got married. He had so many good qualities, that I accepted the most detrimental quality which was abusive. I decided one day that my peace of mind is priceless, and I wasn't in a healthy situation. I made a decision to leave while he was at work and I never looked back. I was so over it. I knew the longer I accepted it, the longer it would go on. Starting over wasn't easy, but I told myself either leave on your own or in a body bag or ambulance. I'm saying that to say whoever may be in an abusive situation get out! You only have one life and it shouldn't be in fear.

I can relate to this movie. I left my ex husband while I was pregnant when he left the house to go to work. I got away and told my parents. I felt so humiliated telling them what happened but I had to keep me and my unborn son safe. It wasn't easy but necessary. I don't believe in living in fear.
That's true because my first marriage was like that. They like you to not be close to anyone that can help you first. Make sure you stay in and tell people lies about you so behind your back while you're not communicating with anyone and he is then they think it's you trying to stay away from them or it's you with something against them. On the other hand they make you feel like everyone is against them. Those are the crazy ones. So now they can just pick at your ego or your mind. Everybody thinks this is a good person. So yes when you finally leave with nothing it still feels better to start over without the abuse. Anyway after that watch out for the nice guys especially if you have children because if they are not evil to the kids and get you to trust them then it may be the kids they are secretly targeting. Especially when they know you love them. Or this may just be a sneaky child rapist. Seems like I ran into both. But I don't know which one is the worst. So after you meet enough and can't even get rid of the first abuser because you have kids by him, they want you alone and after you are finally alone until your kids grow up because you don't trust nobody that's probably the safest way to be because everybody will know you for who you are. The only thing the abusers their minds stay in that same place never changing. So if they don't die and you have to live around them that's about the worse you have to put up with, trust me they will stay at it no matter how their or your lives have changed. Even when other people finally get what you have been going through, they just join in to tell you how terrible that person is but, the way they want to and they continue to deal with them like they enjoy this fool. I think the whole time they know you were a good person but they had to do something against you so a lie would reflect on you so people can't see who they are for real. It takes other people a lot of proof to see what you were, going through with them or talking about from the beginning that they narcissistically, and manipulated and gaslighted others and caused the things to happen to the whole relationship. But made the whole thing look like it was because of you. Crazy.

I can't believe how close to home this movie has hit. I mean the only thing I'm missing are my babies. I have NOTHING but the upmost RESPECT and LOVE for every Woman who had the strength to get out. I recently just got out of an IDENTICAL situation. I finally got the courage to go Nov 30, 2021. After my ex beat me so bad I ended up in the hospital ALONE Nov 25 2021 while my twins I was pregnant with fought for their lives but we lost the fight Nov 26, 2021 I left the hospital and never went back home he searched high and low for me Shooting outside my sister house shot my friend windows out and even went as far as trying to plan my death calling the police saying I video called him and over dosed had the police looking for my dead body all through the apartment. Security stayed downstairs from my apartment and told them I hadn't been there and what's been going on because of that my ex targeted the man which was an police officer and Security In my complex by the end of that day Dec 22, 2021 my ex was shot dead by that same officer after attacking him and leaving countless messages on my vm about killing me. Crazy thing this man in this movie looks just like him bottom lip and all (I loved his bottom lip). I loved that man and unfortunately I couldn't find a way out before costing my babies their lives and I hate that my weakness caused others around me pain. Even the officer who is now fighting for his freedom because of this. I was post to be dead he kept trying and if he wasn't stopped he wouldn't have stopped until I was. My life is wrecked with lots of pain now and I'll never be able to carry children again because of it. PLEASE IF YOU ARE IN THIS SITUATION DONT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW GET OUT NOW BECAUSE TOMORROW COULD BE THE DAY YOUR LOVED ONES ARE LEFT MOURNING YOUR LIFE
