I moved to the United States in 2014 when I discovered your channel. I’ve been an auto enthusiast since I was a kid, but I love your channel more because you don’t seem to be pretentious about being the auto expert period. Most channels on TH-cam are so pretentious. Love, your super honest, detailed, and casual reviews. I used to live in PA, but I moved to different parts of the country since then. Great job and keep the good work coming, buddy 👏🙌💪
Regarding braking of the 2025 model: CR says "Bringing the Crosstrek to a halt from 60 mph on our dry surface took just 128 feet, which is among the best in its class".
It gets cold in Pennsylvania what about a heated steering wheel I have a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek limited with no heated steering wheel I live in New York it gets cold here
Have they replaced the TCV issue on the 2025 2.5l ? Im considering this model for my daughter but this is a big concern. The 2.0l does not have the TCV and might look at this base trim just for that reason alone. Thank you
No shit! I have a 2024 Outback XT and it also not there! It’s colder here now in Midwest and I let trial expire on phone app where it could be started. For almost 40k it’s kinda chickenshit
I do love the comfort of the Crosstrek but that CVT....I just couldn't get the feel of it when i test drove it. It made me feel like I was wanting more out of the engine.
Can't believe they kept the terrible camera system that blocks half of the top of the windshield. Made me switch from Subaru to Toyota last year, thing is ugly and obtrusive.
Agree 100%, No reviewers seem to address it and except for a very few comments elsewhere agreeing that it is terrible, most people see it as a none issue. How does blocking 20 to 25% in the top middle of a car windshield ever a good idea or smart thing. Then Subaru calling it their Eyesight System is almost a joke.
Always amazed at how people can try to make a lemon a peach , Subaru has a history of engine issues and now the CVT trans as well , good by if they include a 100 k mile full warranty cause your going to need it
Regarding the Crosstrek, using consumer feedback, CR currently rates their overall reliability since 2020 as better than or much better than average, and Crosstrek powertrains since 2017 also as better than or much better than average. Regarding my 2018 Forester I bought new in December of 2017 and never bought an extended warranty for, after 7 years I never would have had cause to use one.
IF memory serves me correctly, Subaru's CVT is one of the better ones on the market and has been for more than a decade now. I've seen TONS of older Outbacks with 300-500k miles with the original CVT. As for their engines, I believe they have that figured out now AND Subaru just outpaced Toyota for reliability recently.
We just purchased the 2025 Limited Crosstrek, LOVEIT!!
Awesome! Congrats! 👏
Do you fit two adults comfortably in the back seat?
@@Carnivorechad Yes, you can.
For the 2025 model year the base model and Premium Crosstreks are still built in Japan.

Just a thought - When you are doing a 0-60 run dont talk so people can hear the engine and if the CVT simulates shifts points etc
I Iive right outside of Pittsburgh and my family has three Subaru’s.
I am going to try and wait for the 2026 Crosstrek hybrid due out later this year. If i can't then will go for the Premium with the sunroof, ect.

I like the gold styling bits on the Sport. I was parked next to one today.
I'm just waiting for a Crosstrek Hybrid or a Crosstrek WRX and for physical climate controls to come back
2026
I'm a bit surprised at the review of the brakes. The vacuum booster was replaced by an electronic booster, which is very good.
is the front visibility good enough for 4 foot 5 inch heighted ones ?
Yes, you can raise the seat as much as you want.
Can't believe Subaru still doesn't have remote start on their key fob
@@ramblinvanman6250 look on the bright side , they load the dam thing up with usb ports ! 😂😂😂 , try focusing on engine and trans reliability

Install for $200 remote start. Anywhere@@2fargonedaytona128
I would rather have a car with much faster brakes than ambient interior lighting

STILL NO HEATED STEERING WHEEL FOR THE USA! GRRRRR.
Paddle shifting with a CVT makes no sense

@ What makes it painfully obvious is how every press or official photo of the cars crops it out of the windshield.

Not true it was a few Cvt with issues but they have been corrected and it's far better than Nissan CVTs
