Loving the farm stick and wheel setup kit TM have totally taken the esthetics of farm sim to whole new level which is what I like for my setup so I have decided to invest in getting the whole kit, thankfully now can use just one stick rather than the duals, although like yourself I use both when logging
Good review of interesting hardware. Disappointed that they don't supply velcro strips (or something) to help anchor the foot pedals. Looking forward to your user review.
Thanks for this FSG. Looks very nice. My 16000s are worn out so its going to be interesting to see how this new stick compares once its been used and opnions are given. Will be the decider for when I replace mine.
I got the same wheel for Christmas a couple of years ago when it just came out I love it it’s an awesome wheel I love all the buttons that it has because I don’t have a shifter, button box, joystick and all that so it’s nice to set all of that up!

If you would make a in depth review later, i would be interested in the following:
- How does it work if you switch vehicles reguarly? Like from working on a tractor, to a harvester, to a telehandler, to a logging crane. Would you be able to do that with one device?
- How would it work with two joysticks? One on the default controls, one with custom controls maybe?
- Is there an option to use a button as a 'shift', so you get have twice the amount of buttons available? That would be very handy for things like 'Lift all implements', 'Activate all implements'. But also for crane work, you could use the shift button to use the joystick axis for a different action.
I was hoping when Thrustmaster sponsored the farming league, it meant theyd be releasing a new farming controller. Ive even thought about adapting a flight HOTAS but this seems like basically the same but more customized

I've read that the steering kit is incompatible with anything other than the T128 and T248 which cost $200 and $400 respectively, and honestly I feel that TM really dropped the ball on that as I would believe that a significant portion of people who would buy it already have a wheel they like and probably aren't going to buy another one just the mount, especially for the truck sim guys that have sim rigs, here's to hoping Thrustmaster releases a universal mount plate in the future
It’s business right, they want to sell more wheels too, the T128 and 248 are popular wheels so that audience is one market, the other is people willing to buy a new wheel. I doubt they’ll make a universal mount that works with competitors wheels.
I've got the t128 steering wheel for £110 and we'll worth it but that's just the wheel and pedals

This gave me an IDEA. Using a HOTAS for hydrostat transmissions in the game.
This would be great except I play on the couch in my living room.

I have the Thrustmaster T300 wheel base it is belt driven and very quiet, i dont know how much more expensive it is from the T248 though.
Nice video and nice presentation and nice piece of equipment from Thrustmaster FSG. But you can do the same thing with a simple $20 joystick.

Are you still planning to do a full review of the new Simtask joystick? I was short on funds (out of stock everywhere), and Thrustmaster has no word on a restock date for stores.
I will once I've played with it a bit more, I've heard dates of March before they are back in stock but don't have any official news
How do you feel going from dual TM1600s to a single farmstick? I've got dual farmsticks but having trouble figuring out how I want to set them up.

Thanks for review. Finally we have some alternative to Logitech Saitek panel with better joystick I hope. As you mentioned G920 .. do you think / can test/ if that G920/G923 will fit to that metal cradle to adjust wheel position for heavy equipment sims like FS / Snowrunnner etc. ?
No it’s designed for the T148 and T248 from Thrustmaster
@@TheFarmSimGuy I know what's written on lable, but maybe the mounting holes for base are somehow standardized, or space between vertical sides is big enough to handle G923 even if I would need to drill new holes. That was sort of point of my question.

I've heard nothing from any sources on a restock, I found one overseas, and ordered it, but it's going to take a while to arrive. Did you leave all the buttons to their default settings, or re-map some?
I left everything as default, there are two buttons that are left free for you to map as you choose too 👍

It ll depends on what you want to display, or what screen you are using, I'm still using mine and elements like turning lights on and seeing how full your hopper or trailer is are still useful
Hi FSG and community. Just wondering if you have tried this setup with a secondary joystick or if uou reverted back you your old configuration. I'm brand new ti Farming Sim and I'm looking at options for hardware. I have also seen the Hort gear but unfortunately there's nowhere ti see them in person that I can find before I buy something. TIA.
I have not yet, but I've not found a need for it, other than logging or a skid steer everything I need is on the one stick. I've jsut reverted to using my wheel for movement on the odd occasion I'm in an excavator or skid steer

Hi, I saw a thrustmaster on target for like diesel trucks. Like Optimus prime. But, am sure if it's the whole setup or just the wheel and bracket. Is this the same thing?

Hi FarmSim Guy. Quick question. I play using a PS5 controller on my PC. To look around, I use my right thumbstick to look around and my left thumbstick to move when I'm walking around with my player. What do you use to do this if you have a steering wheel and Thrustmaster joystick?

The small joystick on the top of the stick allows you to do it still. it works well

i like this joystick looks very nice, but i will wait for a bit until the hori one is out to see how that one is before i upgrade from the logitech sidepanel.

The Hori is definitely higher quality. Also, unlike the side panel, it has a number of controls on the joystick unit which are not buttons. I've only gotten to play with it an hour so far (it arrived today), but so far I am very impressed.

SO I have a question? I have a Fanatec csl elite do you think it would fit in the mount room wise with some hole drilling? Didn't want to buy a whole new wheel base if I can avoid it.
No I very much doubt it, I have a CSL DD and the form factor for that is never fitting into this frame, the thrustmaster wheel has a very small base.

Great orientation. Any chance that wheel will work on a desk with a sliding keyboard tray?
I doubt it unless you have about a 1 inch gap between the desk and tray, that's roughly how high the top of the wheel bracket is when attached to the desk

Hi just a quick question do you know if the Logitech g920 would slot in by any chance and also what pedal settings do you use and mappings for the pedals as I set it up with accelerator forwards and the brake as the brake but when I use the brake it goes in to reverse and almost have to stand on my pedal to go backwards. I have the g920 too so if you are able to share how to set up pedals properly and also if the g920 would be possible to go in the steering mount.

No the G920 won’t fit, it’s designed to only work with Thrustmaster wheels. As for you going into reverse when you hit the brake, you have two options, remove the spring in the brake pedal, or remap brake to your clutch pedal

You can, unless you have custom keybinds and you might then loose them

It was relased yesterday, and demand was extremely high so it's very possible it is out of stock for everyone just now

Do UK/EU tractors use a foot gas pedal? My biggest complaint with these peripherals is that they don't function like an actual tractor, at least in the US/CA. US tractors don't have a gas pedal, all momentum is done with the joystick throttle and engine speed throttle. It took a couple mods and a lot of custom key mapping on the heavy equipment side deck to get an almost similar experience to the real thing, but could be easily solved by Thrustmaster by including at least 1 throttle on the joystick that could be mapped to acceleration.
They do, but they are also mapped to the joystick in cab usually too. You can remap the joystick for acceleration if you want

I was wondering why supporter dropped off for my Saitek button box. Now I know. I always wondered why the buttons would not map properly on FS22. Typical of Giants.
I don't think Giants have changed them. when you plug in the Thrustmaster Joystick it'll recognise it and add that config, there's no requirement to remove existing configs
