I love your videos !! Thank you for all your information. I put together my own nail oil. I use Johoba Oil , Almond Oil, Vit E Oil, and then RoseHip Oil. I have kept bottles that nail oils come in and I keep replenishing them. Works real well ! 😊

Thank you so much for comparing these! There is something so relaxing about watching clear polish applied to bare nails. It’s similar to watching wax or resin applied over wood! It adds such a beautiful shine and looks so healthy! 🥰
Thank you, I was wondering how often to use nail oil. I have moderately damaged nails and have been watching your channel for advice and correct procedures to help my nails become healthier.

First of all I love your videos! Before I got into your videos, I prefered bold colors, reds or dark almost black colors. But now I have the strong disire to buy me the Diro nail glow.
my favorite nail oil is the shop nbm cuticle buddy! the roller ball makes it so easy to use as much as you need and has so many lovely scents as well as unscented. I'll be skipping the pizza staining oil haha, but i might try the purple strengthener! i think it did brighten a bit :)
You should try the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Strengthener Tint. I'm not sure about the tinted version, but the clear version has a beautiful glow to it. I wonder how similar it would be to Dior Nail Glow.
I’ve tried the Essie apricot cuticle oil and yes it’s so orange! Honestly, it was a deal breaker for me. The formula definitely changed from the original. I’ve been using California Mango Magic Cuticle Oil. I love it! Have you heard of it or tried it? Love your videos! Thank you for making them. 😊
I have the pink one and used it for the first time and love how it looks. My nail beds are usally very Pale. You convinced me to try a nail oil. I really like Essie as a brand but if the oil makes the nail yellow I need to look for another one 😅
I bought the purple one recently. It makes my nails look really nice, but I don't have yellowing nails. I find that it does give my nails a purple hue - which was what I wanted. I can't speak to the strengthening aspect, because I've only used it twice. I find that it takes longer to dry. I like it so far.
Hi new fan here, so glad I came across your videos, very informative , great job!! Im a crazy for whiteners/brighteners, sheer polishes , cuticle care and basically overall anything thats got to do w/ nails 😄 I was about to purchase these 2 from Essie but wasn't sure if they gonna do anything and looks like they would be a waste of money so thank you . Currently my fav go to polish is Perfect Formula in Ruby over Essies Marshmallow but thanks to you I just purchased Opi- funny bunny and Dazzle Dry-fine china. Keep posting your videos cant wait whats next.Thank you!! 😘
Oh gosh! Welcome! Sounds like we have the same taste! How cool is this?! Fine China is excellent by Dazzle Dry. If you love healthy nails you will LOVE dazzle Dry. It never yellows the nails! I hope you got the base and top too as this really needs to be used as full system. My other fav was the Perfect Formula, I’m not sure which one I have, I think I have the pink one. I love the consistency of it but the packaging is not the best. I poured it into a bottle with a paddle brush and OMG it makes a big difference. You should try Dior. It’s more pink, less blue hue (but still bright) and it doesn’t fade. I find Perfect Formula stains a bit after few days. Like it yellows a bit. Looks yellow on the pad when I take it off. My perfect product would be like Dior Nail Glow but with a hint of milkyness.
I have the essie oil and I do think it works very well. I don’t like the color and I also feel it is hard to apply the oil once you are below half empty. I got the Orly Oil which has the dropper bottle and I find that a lot easier to apply (although it is probably easier to use too much.). These essie strengtheners are now readily available in drugstores in my area. I tried my Infinite Shine treatments alone to see if either have a brightening effect and it is really hard to tell but they might. The one has some tiny reflective flakes in it and that definitely does reflect.
Have Mr. Salonlife ever tried the Essie “Essie Man-e-Cure” ? Maybe it’s discontinued, I’m not sure. But I can still find it in a lot of online shops. I like it. It gives a matte wellgroomed look.
I ordered the pink one from lookfantastic, but using it on its own does not look that nice on the nail... I put essie's gel couture top coat to make it last and look put together. But I think it does actually work somehow :) I miss Essie's Grow Stronger!
I bought, kind of by mistake, the Hard to resist from Essie. It’s clear polish and says advanced. Do you have any idea how often it should be applied? Or if I should leave a few days of “naked” nails in between applications? And if removing it with acetone is okay? Thank you in advance!
I’ll be staying away from the pizza-like proximal nail fold oil. 😂🍕 I have the pink strengthener and my feelings so far are “meh.” Nails don’t feel immediately stronger, just a bit protected like what I’d expect from a polish or top coat. It also chips off quickly on me and I don’t love how it looks on the white tips of my nails.
Nail oil is great for dry and brittle nails. Warm oil soaks are a great idea too! Please see this video: th-cam.com/video/io335eWf6R4/w-d-xo.html Of course you can use oil after your nail polish is dry
I started taking care of my nails after years of severe ezcema and the apricot oil and the blue hardener really helped... But as time passed the formula of the hardener started peeling after a few days : (
@@TheSalonLife Thank you for the quick response. I am a fan of your channel!! Do I need to use a top coat for the christian dior nail glow or can I use 2 coats by itself?
I had the Essie cuticle oil, I hated it. It is so orange, it is gross on the nails, cuticle. Also, I find it really thin and not really hydrating. My fave oil is the CND solar oil, still very light in texture but hydrating and the pen version is brilliant.
Non of them :) Seriously. All of them can damage the nail to certain extend. www.researchgate.net/publication/341051202_Increased_Keratin_Carbonylation_Associated_with_Decreased_Fingernail_Strength
I actually have a question regarding removing it! Do you just add onto it or can you use acetone based nail polish remover to remove, clean up and dry, then just reapply the product?
I honestly think that most strengtheners are just a glorified base coat with some "marketing ingredients" added. Marketing ingredients are stuff that sounds good and often "natural" that doesn't usually have much benefit (especially when applied topically) but it "sounds good and healthy" Strengtheners don't do anything for your nail. They provide an extra layer on the nail, which provides coating, that's it, just like a regular base coat does - once you remove the product, the nail is back to what it was or it's even more damaged because of constant nail polish wear. There's no actual improvement to the nail plate itself done by the strengthener . There are some exceptions but for the most part these are not more effective than any other polish. I was hoping these polishes would be brightening, like the Dior Nail Glow but they are not. And word of caution, they fade to a strange color (even when kept in original packaging in the drawer). I don't recommend them really. I find this routine is much more effective th-cam.com/video/8LXeYtTG8OU/w-d-xo.html If you would need more individual help I'm available for hire :) www.thesalonlife.ca/services

Not knowing anything about his nails or if there is an absolute known cause for the dark vertical line on his pinky is a sign of melanoma cancer. It is a sign most people have no idea about. It can also be a benign mark or malignant.
