So @15:28, when you placed a template and realized you were in the wrong gear and had to select another template...you committed a no-no and your opponent should have selected your template. Just one of those things that make the game fun! Doing awesome on your channel Ashe and I love all the various batreps (AoS most of all).
We had a 6 car race and the 1st weapons activation gate was too close. After the first vehicle exploded, there was a chain reaction exploding every vehicle. All vehicles had unspent ammo and were all clustered together. Ended too quick.
I don't think you guys were doing Powerslide correct. You kept going straight along the movement template instead of turning 90 degrees. Like at 32:15 Relevant rules text: Treat the selected movement template as a slide template for purposes of finding the vehicle's Final Position.
After my 2nd time of watching this, and owning the book...I noticed we missed something. After choosing your veer/swerve Ash, but weren't able too, because of your gear, should have allowed Evan to choose your maneuver for you. I'm definitely sure he wouldn't have chose the same that you chose? However for the Rules of Carnage and the sake of the video, + revealing Slime's Pinball perk to thread that needle, was awesome! Love the Gaslands videos Ash. THANKS again.
Another great Race in the bag. Great job Ash on pulling off the Slime manuver I've only read about. Too bad you didn't pull it off at the beginning of the race? Excellent work from the Miyazaki guy for winning the race with no weapons. And respect to the little guy for giving it his all, even though he didn't pass the first gate to unlock his guns. Great Race from all of you. Looking forward to seeing more??? I wouldn't mind seeing if you could invite a couple more friends and and have a bigger (5+ drivers) race with 25 cans each? I've always wondered how a monster truck would do as a solo driver? Thanks for sharing.

Nice! So happy you posted another one. Weird that you race back the starting line, most death races are just to the forth gate. Plus in a Death race pole position is only changed when the one who owns it crosses a gate, but I like your idea of it moving around every gear too. You cannot evade explosions from a car. We tend not to respawn, because it prevents people from killing themselves and makes people more cautious. But it's very interesting. FYI: Slime pinball ability only works when the rear of your car hits the side of his car. Look at the videos on the Gaslands site, Mike clarified it also. It's very hard to pull off. Your smash was a tbone, because you hit in with the front of your car. Did the Miyaski player have Chrome Whisper, because he cannot push more than once per turn without it.
@31:54 you reversed using a hairpin and ended up sliding. Can you clarify if you are supposed to place the position with the trailing edge of the car at the end of the slide template or if since you are reversing if it should have been your leading edge at the end of the template? Basically when you reverse and slide do you end a the edge of the template while physically on the template or do we do what you did and move to until all 4 wheels are off. To clarify i know how the slide template works moving forward but i am curious if you are in reverse does the same alteration to Final Positioning apply.
Hi, from what im getting from your question, my answer is this, Reversing does not change anything in the game, reversing in gaslands is just like driving forwards but the car is going backwards, so the slide tem0late doesnt change either.
@07:44 you counted up your 8 hazard tokens and added these to your 6th gear for a total of 14 smash dice. Why did you add your Hazard tokens to your smash dice total? Would it not be simply 6 smash dice for a side swipe in 6th gear with no weight difference?

You gain an audience vote when one of your own vehicles is wrecked. You don't gain an audience vote when you wreck one of your opponents vehicles.

Yes, powerslide is awesome, but you have to turn the car sideways for the entirety of the second template.
