Florence,S.C. is a Great place to live, variety of manufacturing jobs, nice down and a mall. A variety of fine dining restaurants and many friendly neighborhoods, which you failed to mention.
Cherokee County (Gaffney) is said to be only county in the US with 3 national parks, Cowpens National Battlefield, Kings Mountain Battlefield and the Overmountain Victory Trail. An old library building in Gaffney is presently being converted into a Revolutionary War Museum. Besides being famous for the Peachoid water tank, Gaffney also has the T-Bridge, said to be only one of 2 of that design in the world. Gaffney is located 20 miles from Spartanburg, and has a branch Spartanburg Community College.
Sumter has a mall, but it is falling apart and has high vacancies. Lots of new and nice houses being built. The town needs a Target, a better movie theater and some better shopping options.
It’s ironic that you said Florence lacks charm when the city just won the National Main Street award for its Downtown. I guess you’re right it’s truly subjective.
There's only really two cities in South Carolina which are "there" and they're Greenville and Charleston. Columbia is a work in progress but it ain't there. A shame considering it's our State's capitol
Location, Location, Location. (Ports, Vacation, Social Media, Beaches, Ranked #1 City for multiple years running, etc. etc.) Charleston doesnt need an introduction, but Greenville! has more residents than Charleston now. This will be the big city because its so close to ATL and Charlotte, NC. Also has great Corporations that give back to the community, and a great place to raise a family based on price. Charleston is so expensive now.
@@thebottledwaterguy proves nothing. i've been to Charlotte lots of times, yet i know nothing like the locals. you still don't know shit about that hellhole.
this video made me giggle like a schoolgirl. ALL of these areas are so high in crime that only a dog can hear them. put down the crack pipe and purge your soul of this madness

It is a great place to live, it just doesn't do it for me personally as far as charm
I agree Florence is really up and coming and a lot of people just don’t know the variety and charm that it has.

What are your thoughts on Camden?
@@christinedell-51 Camden is steeped in history.
I put Camden as my #10 city in the state, check out that video! Camden might have even risen in my esteem since then!
About Florence charm, you meant SUBjective, not Objective.

Sumter is the armpit of the state
I think Orangeburg takes the bottom of the barrel.
even Orangeburg has potential!
tell me you've never stepped foot in Gaffney w/o saying it.
I've been to several Peach Festivals...

I would likre to give Orangeburg an honorary mention.
