such a cute festive spread! also i feel you re: darkness. i live in southern finland where rn the sun rises around 9am and sets around 3:30pm, so it's dark when i go to school and dark when i come back from school, and there's no snow rn so it's extra depressing and blerrghhh. i'm constantly tired and low on energy. which then makes me skip all the normal human stuff like regular meals or showers, which then leaves no energy for fun things like making christmas cards. what a mess, huh. sending good vibes from finland! we can get through this dark season! x
I just sat down and completed my own december spread while watching this video and i just wanted to drop by and tell you that your videos always make me feel so warm. I was in this horrible, self destructive mood right before this and I could feel myself spiralling down and didn't know what to do to stop that because I'm in a busy time academically and I can't afford to have breakdowns that I know will last me a few hours at the very least. So I essentially forced myself to get my bujo out, put this video on and now I feel so much calmer. I feel like I can get through these stressful weeks before the holidays and in all honestly, its all thanks to you. Sending you lots of love ♡
I usually just write the date and a list for what I have to do for a day, nothing else, no title page, no calendar, nothing - thats how minimalist i am with my planning but this spread really makes me wanna decorate my planner and give it a bit more loving. It actually feels cosy and homely looking at it!
When i saw the tea and the mention to grab a cuppa i got so excited bc tomorrow its the 1st of the december and i get to open the first door of my tea advent calendar
I am here for this cozy aesthetic! I also fail to bujo daily and yet still love doing it so so much? I think it's because my personal journaling habit is sporadic and has been since I was 8. I am okay with that! If I feel forced in any way, it takes a little fun out of it and the spreads don't look as nice as I know I can make it. So I just don't do habit, mood, water, meal, etc. trackers--things that require daily logging because it's not beneficial to the way I function. If your bujo-ing is once in a while and works for you, good! If you want to make it a daily habit, go for it!

I FEEL YOU with it getting dark so early. I, too, am a Texan and when I moved to Boston I could not get used to it being dark by 4PM. I'm back home now, but it's still dark by 6PM and I have no motivation after it's dark. Love your video!

I have lived in upstate NY for my whole life and I will never get used to it getting dark at 4:00. It takes away all of my motivation and energy. The only thing that helps is basically staying inside with the curtains drawn so I can't tell that it's pitch black so early lol
The fact that you named your black cat Sophie after Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle is actually really interesting because in the sequel to the original novel by Diana Wynne, (SPOILER ALERT if anyone cares) Sophie actually gets turned into a black cat. Not sure if this was intended but I thought it was super fitting

On the days being short, I have lived in British Columbia all my life and am still not use to how dark it gets in the winter/fall. I'm not a morning person or a night person, I'm a daylight person and it sucks in the winter.

If I pick up a novel it means I'm sitting there for the next four to six hours until I finish it, and then I come out of it all disoriented like I've just slept 100 years. I do NOT understand people who can read a chapter before bed and then put the book down and go to sleep. 🤨
you probably dont use your bullet journal everyday you like perfection (i had the same problem) . my bullet journal is nasty looking now and i use it everyday w just a black pen (+ do a cute monthly spread). i too am a S.A.D. girl too. i wish winter days would last.
