Legit too lazy to switch accounts to comment on this, Jesus Christ this is absolutely astounding. Once again just blown away by your seemingly limitless capabilities. Absolutely amazing job.
This song should be like the "last boss" in RS2014! Most incredible in this video is how actually halsb manage to get every single note to be detected accurately by RS.
Tkmisere it gives over 100% for mastering parts, meaning being able to play parts of the song without the notes being displayed. I think that all songs go up to 109% when you can not only play all notes without display but you also get perfect timing on all notes. basically, when you're a machine. No living person can do that. Not even the people who wrote the songs.
Just wondering, then. If you have 100% mastery and then get 100% accuracy with master mode active, shouldn't your mastery rise to 110%? Because I've played Breaking The Law by Judas Priest and got 100% accuracy and my mastery is still 108.9% Last time I played, I had master mode on but it showed me all notes anyway.
Holy shit! You even managed to make those annoying whammy/dive notes sound good. Truly impressive. To me, this one tops your Cliffs performance with how perfectly on-point it sounded.
This IS really damn impressive, but it cracks me up seeing all the people responding with stuff like "OMG how u play so faaaast" and "this seems IMPOSSIBLE!!" and other such absolutely flabbergasted responses... like... people, you DO know that there is a guy who plays this, who played this, who actually CREATED the song and plays it like this every single time, right? I mean, these songs don't just exist in some made up void... Go look up ACTUAL Joe Satriani if you want your mind blown properly... LMAO Ditto for ANY song on Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Rocksmith, whatever. Sure, it's damn impressive and fun as hell to play these songs, but give credit to the people who originally created and performed them; THEY are the real geniuses who deserve your awe. All the rest of us are just schlubs who are playing their amazing music. xD
Todd Renstrom While you have something of a point, here's the thing about that: Joe satriani does make mistakes while playing this. You're crazy if you think he doesn't. There would be variations from the master recording on the guitar, whether intentional or not. With this, it is EXACTLY the master recording, and if you fuck up by putting your finger one fret higher than it should be, just once, that's rip run. Playing live, you could make that mistake and no one, maybe even not the player themselves, would notice. Here, it's exact. Playing satch boogie is impressive enough, but playing it absolutely perfectly without a single deviation from the master recording is absolutely nuts.
Not to take anything away from how impressive the playing is, but you have to deviate quite a bit from the actual song in order to have Rocksmith register notes correctly. So it's not really "exactly the master recording" but rather exactly what Rocksmith wants you to play, which is arguably more difficult sometimes than actually playing, as you may have to "relearn" a song for Rocksmith if you already can play it outside the game. There are also different techniques which the game cannot pickup, and you have to kind of play to how the game wants you to do it, but again, still impressive playing here!
Well lit (mix of natural and artificial light), concise description, 100% accurate performance, and 60 fps video capture -- bruh, you should have 26.6 million subscribers, instead of 2668. Excellent job.
So 2 things: 1) should there be a seziure moment warning at that first solo tapping bit? 2) you know a song is fast when the intro becomes a mess after compression
To me, locking your wrist for fast solo parts is necessary to keep from getting sloppy??? Rhythm or big windmill arm swinging parts the wrist can pretty much do as it feels and sound good. 8^)
Excuse me while I bow down in awe.
JasonParadise you are excused
Why hello there Jason. Nice seeing you here.
halsb = has already learned Satch Boogie Kappa
Welp, it's over. Rocksmith has been won. We can all go home.
arkeenz you have to beat PainKiller
I give up
I cant even read the interface that fast
you arent supposed to
its not really that fast. the scroll speed is just set crazily high.
It is that fast yo.
no its not its like 180-200 BPM. this is the scroll speed that is so high
Do you have the game?
I tried playing this and ended up naked on the floor in a tangle of broken strings and shattered wood. Suffice to say I still need a lot of practice.
I tried playing this, opened up a dimensional rift to a Demon lord’s sanctum instead. Needless to say, I need some more practice.
I can't even read the notes at this speed and you played it flawless. Just Awesome !
He does have it beaten on master mode, so he knows it. I can't imagine trying to sight read at this speed. Everything is blurred haha
Qu,. How many musicians does it take to change a light bulb
A: 100 - 1 to change it, and 99 to say "I could done that better"
Okay how about you try doing that on a real guitar ... oh wait
Do it better !!!
@@rossfordcrue9642 wow?
Holy shit you've played this song 132 times. That's 6 hours worth of playing this song.
Or restarts
I play Rocksmith too and I played song called trooper 80 times and its long 4 min, if not mention these hours, I spent got riff repeater.
I don't think rocksmith counts restarts
If only it was as easy as playing the same song 6 hours...
ive played bat country 190 times....

It's like watching those legendary playthroughs of "Through Fire and Flames" in Guitar Hero.
Satisfying and enjoyable.
Nbd
dood...
Didn’t expect to wake up and realize I am talentless but yet here I am
dude.... You win rocksmith... again
OH YEAH?! Well, on bass, I've mastered this 103%.
Soooo... Beat that!
*is totally not jealous that you can play Satch Boogie flawlessly*
Why the game give 100+ % ?
Tkmisere I guess it tracks subsequent playthroughs of each song even when you've mastered it.
Tkmisere it gives over 100% for mastering parts, meaning being able to play parts of the song without the notes being displayed. 110% is the highest mastery. 100% is the highest accuracy. You can only get over 100% with master mode turned on

I keep going back to this video everytime I watch your videos

With that said, god DAMN you got some talent on that guitar, man. Congrats, I'm nowhere NEAR that good. haha

I don't think anyone is saying hals is better than joe satriani lmao, it's crazy impressive either way though.
Well lit (mix of natural and artificial light), concise description, 100% accurate performance, and 60 fps video capture -- bruh, you should have 26.6 million subscribers, instead of 2668. Excellent job.
Incredible you win the internet.
On 3:17 there came the A13 chord.
The "you got to the end of fingerfuckery" chord

all those hours you’ve wasted learning real guitar when you could have been playing a plastic one with 5 buttons
Lmao
BrUh
I have been practicing for about 14 hours a day with Guitar Hero on my Nintendo DS. Sometimes I actually play all through the night
I'd like to see you impress a girl with a lump of plastic
wow, truly amazing, congratulations!
I've tried to play this song, but the notes come too fast on the fretboard. I wish there was some way to slow them down.
Riff repeater + memorization

Wow man, nice job!
you gotta be shitting me lol, great job man this was incredible to watch.
So 2 things:
1) should there be a seziure moment warning at that first solo tapping bit?
2) you know a song is fast when the intro becomes a mess after compression
And everyone thought rocksmith was a game that you couldn't beat...
halsb for the President! :D
That is perfect
im hella late but you killed it bro
congratulations bruh!
halsb ,did Ubisoft invited you the big Rocksmith's Live @ Slim ?
Good job
Just curious about your picking technique. Is there a reason why you lock your wrist sometimes? any particular feeling you get from that?
To me, locking your wrist for fast solo parts is necessary to keep from getting sloppy??? Rhythm or big windmill arm swinging parts the wrist can pretty much do as it feels and sound good. 8^)
2:02 - Almost 3 MILLION points in just 42 seconds! O_O
that was fucking powerful
The thing I like about this song on Rocksmith is that it's like hyper speed 5,000 lol
Now we just need to wait for Rocksmith to release "Through the Fire and Flames..."
You're a God...

YOU ARE A FUCKING GOD, DUDE.
I have played this song before, and I have no idea why it is moving so fast or why it looks so weird when the notes are played.
I wish I could play my electric guitar just like you.
Insane.
This is the part where you buy an electric guitar and join a band. Got it?
Amazing man!How about doing awaken by Dethlok?
