  • Fishing the Duck River in early October using the whopper plopper, Nikko soft baits, and the baby bull shad swimbait. I caught smallies, largemouth, spotted bass, and rock bass.

Awesome vid! I usually fish around the Henry Horton area of the Duck. I've only caught one so far on topwater. Maybe I need to try it more. Are you methodical with where you throw it or just throw it a bunch and pray to the fish gods? I always heard early morning was best, but it looks like you are having success all the time (from watching your other vids)

Thanks for watching, bro! I am a little methodical, focusing on moving water (where I feel smallies tend to feed) or around structure. Recently, I kind of have to throw it where the leaves aren’t.
It’s key to throw it upstream though, in my experience.
