i have been testing a decklist for a while now, its very consistent and it easily ends on baronne (which we make on the fifth summon, to be protected from nibiru), any synchro 12 (i use mathmech sigma) and crimson dragon to go into calamity, as well as chuche.
Nah just pray you open at least two VW names. My go-to line is the usual shs 1 card combo with tilting but I cut the line short to get another wakaushi in hand and ED for synchros. If that gets inturrupted I can go vw combos. If you open kauw loon you can start with the VW combo. Endboard can get you the king calamity lock but a "less degenerate" board can get you baronne, hot red dragon archfiend, and shenshen @@RamenNoodlesTCG
Great to see another VW enjoyer! A few questions though: 1.) How do you feel about the calamity lock with Crimson Dragon? Do you think VW could go into it consistently? 2.) How do you feel about incorporating the Punk engine? Hopefully you see this, but most importantly, thanks again for the great content!
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! PUNK VW isn’t worth it in the current format because Droll is everywhere, but it could have some potential in the future. As far as the Crimson Dragon goes; I haven’t started tested it yet. From what I’ve seen from other people’s testing, I haven’t been too impressed with RDA Calamity. I have some ideas to improve upon what I’ve seen, so stay tuned for that!
@@RamenNoodlesTCGwant to add that you don't have to use Crimson Dragon for Calamities lock. It's a generic 12 synchro VW can easily get off which you can swap out for a synchro 9 like Hot Red Abyss or even Trishula on opponent's turn, by targeting a Shenshen on board. So if you have hands where you can't set a card for Tzolkin, it's a great addition to the endboards so you don't just Shenshen pass.
Very nice guide, I got into VW literally yeterday and this is one of the more complete ones. i'd love to see a budget list of this, I'm strongly considering this deck to be my first irl deck but I don't have that much room for expensive cards, so I'd really like to know what's more important between something like imperm or stardust charge + coral and similar
I’m glad you’re liking the content. I don’t think I’m going to make the budget VW video anymore, sadly. Reprints have made many cards much cheaper. I was going to release a 15 dollar build of VW and start getting people into the Budget League alt format (every deck is 15 dollars), but the rarity collection basically killed the format. I got my VW main deck core for about 10 US dollars and all the staples are extremely cheap now. Zeus is the most important card at around 10 ish dollars each and it’s going to be useful in most decks you play moving forward. The rarity collection has made cards like ash, Imperm, Nibiru, Baronne and prosperity very affordable, so it shouldn’t be too tough to get things at a decent price as long as you don’t live in a remote area where shipping costs are very high.
@@RamenNoodlesTCG got it. Unfortunately, since I live in europe, the site I'll probably be using for the order has zeus at around 18 euros, so I'll probably be passing out on it for the time being. But I think I'll grab it eventually. With that said, thanks a lot for the content, the videos gave me a way better idea of the deck's capabilities
what do you think of p.u.n.k engine with adventurer in vw? (Im talking bare minimun punk: 1x ze amin, 1x deer note, 1x foxy tune) I think its quite nice with 3 e tele
I haven’t tested it myself, but I don’t think it’s worth it. It searches you Lulu at the cost of a discard, and adds a rank 8 XYZ to your end board, but you add two extra bricks to your deck. A ratio of 2 bricks to 4 starters isn’t awful, but we struggle enough with space already in this deck, ESPECIALLY if you’re playing Adventure VW. Adventure VW is it’s own can of worms that I’m already planning a video on. That being said, I think the full P.U.N.K combo might be worth testing in VW. You’d add more bricks, but the 2 draws off of extreme session feel too tempting to ignore. You’d probably have to go over 40 cards, but the draw 2 might be able to make up for any lost consistency. It’d be a lot of math to work out, but I’ll probably save it for a format where Droll isn’t as popular.
Yeah Caliga is fine, I personally feel like it loses to more stuff than dragoon. Thanks for reminding me to buy a copy of Utopia beyond tho lol. I struggle to find space for it in some of my lists, but it’s an alright Zeus enabler and helps you close out games.

I've been playing a VW Superheavy Sams deck deck i made in YGO Omega
I’ve seen decks like that. You go through Cupid pitch to search Lulu, right? It’s a neat concept
