- Can I make a video about carpet and still make it entertaining and educational?! Why yes, of course! You’ll love this!
If you have followed the series on my Porsche 928 then you’ll know that this car is about the bluest car in the world. The paint is blue, the upholstery is blue, the carpets are blue, EVERYTHING is BLUE! It’s also 38 years old so it’s time to smarten it up a bit, break up the blue and make the interior just a bit more pleasant to spend time in!
So I bought some Cocomats for my car. I have no idea why they are called Cocomats but I will show you what they are like in terms of quality and fit and how they make my Porsche 928 look SO much better than the threadbare original 38 year old carpets. Let’s unbox them and fit them together and go through the whole process together! There are still people that make new things for the Porsche 928, even today! That’s good all by itself! We are so not done with this car yet! More to do! WORK IN PROGRESS!

Many owners install the Coco mats on top of the factory carpet as added protection. I had Coco mats on my 83 911 they were quite flimsy back in the day. Popular in California because they caught all the beach sand.
The mats are a great choice, Jay. Glad the 928 is sticking around!

Good to see you back. I have owned 2 MGB. Found the old axiom that for ever hour you drive it, you need to repair it for 2. My first impression of MX-5 was the same feel but without the “character”.
Not had a single problem with mine but I may be the exception! It is British after all!

Enjoyed seeing the MG.
Way, way back when I lived in CT, my first new car was a '77 MGB.
I drove it home, parked it, walked away, turned to look back and admire it.
Then, the electric cooling fans kicked on and I died. I thought it had started on its own and was going to move forward uncontrolled and run over me!

Jay, for that uncovered area on the passenger side, CocoMats will make anything you can come up with to cover it. I've had them do several custom things and the results have been outstanding.

I love having newer floor mats in my cars. They make the car look and feel a lot newer.

The passenger floor mat is not fitting near the seat because the floor mat you have is made for a 928 with radio ampli. For the visible module , I had the same issue, I just put the coco mat over the Porsche floor mat .

I went back and looked and didn't see a video on the MG . I'd like to see you do one on it - do a walk around , go over the engine , some history , etc then go for a ride - that type of thing . Seems like it has big tires for what it is . Might make a good video .

You mentioned a stud on the top of the original passenger mat. That's the only stud in that car since you've owned it.

As for the carpets... wouldn't work for me as I'm the sort of fool who daily drives everything lol. so weather techs or something along those lines.
now that being said, based on your car it will be a lot of " Check the Gas and fill the oil" for a while still..
