For your information in Greece they have similar traditions with Slovenia with regard to egg decorations. The pressing of leaves and using onions peels is an older tradition. However, it can be a bit time consuming therefore many modern Greeks nowadays dye the eggs just red.

Marieta Tsoukoukou my mother and grandmother both dye their eggs in the older traditional way pressing herb leaves using red onion peels/even decoration wise and so on that is why when I was watching how they decorate their Easter eggs in Slovenia I was like it looks just like what people in Greece would do lol

Countries that are in the same region usually share similar traditions. It comes from centuries of being in contact and influencing each other one way or another! 😃

in Asian, the bright red eggs were given when a baby is 1 month old, sometime children also get an red egg on his/her birthday instead of a cake.
