My grandmothers spoke just like she did! She is gone now, but Nibbles lives on. He speaks far more words than 200. He does a fantastic speedy Gonzalez, knows all of my aunts and uncles names, most of their kids names, or can decipher who's kid they are. Amazing Birds! Need to go see my dude soon!
I have both grey and double yellow. My Amazon only screams and attempts to sing in the dusk hour. She is gorgeous much more coloration then others I have seen. She has distinct personality otherwise. My grey is amazing , on another level. She doesn't talk mimic but is communicating.
So true! Mine can talk and really enunciate human words and doesn't sound like a parrot. A neighbor of mine called police because she heard a guy yelling no no noooo over and over again like someone hurting him, and it was my stupid bird having tantrums because he doesn't like his breakfast 😂

@@pegeta@pegeta hi my parrot is so aggressive with me he is 25 on 1st April and he is my partner parrot I have been with my partner for 18years now and max always hated me don't no why I then got a African gray but he went so protective I had to get reed and since last march when my partner feels in and was in hospital max had no choice but to accept me but now his dad's bk he is ok with me but out the blue he will attack me big time I have learnt about the eyes pinning so I stay way clear lol. But like he will be in my bed wants to be by me because he will do anythink to be by me we are best friends then boom attack I Just don't get it I love max so much as well morning are fine because it's me who gets him out but he will not stay with me I have to put him in the other room were his other cage is so he can watch the chicken lol and also he LOVES coming outside but will not put a lease on sorry if this is a long message I would really appreciate any help U can give me also my partner got him as a baby and the breeder said it was a boy but I'm thinking it's a girl he loves to go in to boxes and rip them up mmmm any ways thank U for replying xx❤
my daughter in law has a male double yellow headed parrot and pulls its breast feathers out. She told me the former owner abused it and is a male. He will not take to men., she said. She buys toys galore and entertainment things, wooden chewing blocks and the best of parrot food. Is there any advice if this bird will ever get over its past trauma and not pull its sfeathers out rather odd to see a naked bird on the breast. I do not know how the parrot was abused or the event that she now has the parrot. ..

The voice thing is sooo true! Sometimes we mistaken him for humans in the house 😂

I have had 5 different amazon parrots and just one African Grey. As far as talking/vocabulary my African grey beats all my amazon parrots.

It’s just what region they come from - usually the different regions have different amounts of yellow on the head
