Nice review! Even though I own an arsenal of gas powered equipment I’ve found that electrics like the ones you reviewed are helpful especially inside buildings since they have zero emissions. The exhaust of a gas blower inside a barn can be downright harmful.

STIHL needs to have one of those "Backpack Systems" for Landscape Contractors.
And a "Rapid Charge" system for a 12v for those on the go with multiple properties!

Also, any thoughts of growing your own Tabacco and making use of the "Tabacco Shed"?

Josh, the advice I would give anyone at this point.
When you buy a battery powered tool, always buy one with a battery. Usually the big box stores run nice sales on these combo. Often times, the batteries are more expensive than the tool themselves.
Stick to the brand that you use. Often times, the batteries are interchangeable as well.
If I had to start all over again, I would definitely consider TORO.
The brand I have right now has been awesome though! It's been able to do everything thing I've thrown at it, with absolutely no issues.
    Thanks Josh!

I just picked up the back pack Toro battery blower. No battery included but I had a 10 AH one from the Toro snow blower ready to go. It’s a pretty slick set up, very strong and quieter than the gas powered variety.

A tip when hedge-clipping. Always trim up. From the ground up will give you a better clip. If you are making a hedge aim for a truncated triangular prism so the lower branches get sun and will continue to leaf up. In other words, slope the sides inwards from the base enough to make sure every branch gets full sunlight.

The outlook at the 9 minute mark when playing around with the hedge trimmer looks like something from a magnate’s country estate. Well done Josh on building up a beautiful property.
Plant rosemary. When it’s hedged, and it can be, the smell is beautiful plus it’s healthy to eat and gives good flavour to food, especially lamb and roast potatoes.

A power backpack makes sense for some equipment and less for other. The hedge trimmer and the weed whacker are among those where it makes less sense, they are not the heavy draining equipment that makes good use of a huge power backpack. The leaf blower and the chainsaw drain the batteries a lot faster so a backpack makes a lot more sense, especially if you are working for a whole day. So it's not a one stop solution for ever battery powered tool you've got.

I like the idea of electric and the instant torque and power but the dang batteries are just so darn expensive and if something wears out internally can it be serviced? I find it difficult to spent hundreds if not more of my hard earned money on something that doesn’t have the longest service life, do some tools make life easier, I can agree some have an advantage but that’s my view on things I’d love to find some answers or advice to change my mind. I do like them I just have questions. Not to mention the weight reduction and decreased vibrations are a plus aswell. I guess I’m just on the fence so to speak.😅

    • @bronzearmy2645
      @bronzearmy2645 ปีที่แล้ว

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer China is a pretty flaccid excuse for an enemy:: demographic collapse, incompetent leader with a cult of personality, and the world’s largest importer of food and energy with a far inferior Navy and Air Force… they wouldn’t stand a chance, and they can’t afford to try.
By the way, almost everything is made abroad. Slapping some paint and stickers on something is hardly “Made in America.” Harbor Freight busted Snap On for making it’s Jack in China by sniping their manufacturer and rebranding it Daytona. Even if the tool is made in the USA - the Steel or Aluminum was definitely smelted and rolled in China; the Rubber O-Rings were made in China; the lithium for batteries - the batteries themselves were made in China.
This is coming to an end though as labor shortages and new construction costs in China are pushing companies to “near-shore” to Mexico, which still has an actual pyramid for a Demographic chart.
