I'd been wondering where you were and was getting concerned. It's always worth the wait to hear from you Anthony. Thanks for your input. I can see Content Credentials being required in Law Courts very soon. It's probably a shrewd move by Adobe marketing CC to the legal industry.
Thank you Anthony, just upgraded to Lr 14 & Ps 2025 today, your release was in fact very timely for me 😊 I enjoy almost all of your videos and they are greatly appreciated, keep up the Great Work !
Thanks for an unvarnished review of LrC 14. I felt the same way, a few little things but nothing substantial. I like the way your reviews are honest and not filled with hype. There was a review of LrC by another TH-camr (who shall go unnamed) who hyped this as a "Massive Lightroom update" - yeah Massive it is not. thanks for keeping your content trusted.
I appreciate all of these! You are my go to, while I just ignore the official release notes. Ideally Adobe would just embed your videos into the "What's New" splash screen!
I like your review, but generative remove is still pretty much useless unless you only publish to social media sites. On a large monitor or for print the lack of matching resolution is SO bad that you can see the line around the gen'd edge.
Anthony - I just Subscribed. Great content info!! I watched your older video about exporting Mac Photos to LR. It was extreamly helpful 👍👍 Maybe you can help me with my photo management? I’m about to do a big move of some 100k Mac Photos because I’m frustrated with Apple and iCloud Photos. My iPhone is full and clogged - i can’t even copy+paste text. The transfer process scares me. I don’t want to loose images, meta data, time stamps, album identification and i’d like to keep a small portion on some cloud for remote access. And I don’t want to spend time doing the wrong thing. Is LR the best way for workflow, managing and editing images? I’m familiar with Adobe Creative suite and LR Classic and lean toward sticking with it. I also have about 70k SLR camera images to keyword and organize. I’m about to export some 100k Mac photos/reference screenshots to LR Classic. I need to organize all my images with keywords and catalogues whatever.
Yes, when I use the Subtract button to modify the selection in LrC 14.1, Remove may miss, as here. IMO the Remove tool in Photoshop (which most LrC users have access to as well, using in LrC: Edit > Edit In > Adobe Photoshop > Remove brush) still has the better Remove tool, even without Generative AI. PS Remove *might* have erased this bucket this well (maybe not) without using a Generative AI credit. I'm not unhappy about Adobe's pace of feature upgrades. They've been upgrading the whole package of LrC and PS etc. over the past year steadily. Since we don't pay extra to get version upgrades, to me, subscribing for $10 a month remains a very good value. Thanks Anthony. (and no apologies needed. We've been "photobombed" with new versions of many key photo apps the past couple of weeks.)
Anthony, you commented that you are now creating a new catalogue every year which as I understand you were saying, was because of performance problems. Can you perhaps give a video in the future talking about "performance". I have a fairly powerful Windows 11 computer with a GPU, plenty of memory and SSD drives. But after a few hours of work in Lightroom, I still have to shut down and restart. Working in Lightroom after a few hours becomes impossible. My catalogue has about 34K photos. I really hate to give up the ability to look for a keyword or a location throughout my entire library. After hearing your comment, I'm wondering if I really don't have a choice. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you very much for your video. Could you please do a video about the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw. ACR 17 contains more new functions than Lightroom Classic 14 (which is unusual). Thank you!
Any idea when LRC will get updated to add the new features in ACR (e.g. Adaptive profile and non-destructive noise reduction with the .acr side file)? That would be a significant upgrade.
I have several older catalogues (cat. 6, 11) Just renamed my catalogue (2024 v14). I have at least 4 old catalogue folders that say previews and they are large. One is 80 GB and another is 58 GB. I'm assuming I can delete the old preview folders?
Does the generative AI content have the same low resolution that it does in Ps? If so it doesn't really seem useful for photographers. Nobody wants low res patches in the high res images.
I tried to remove a person in the background of a photo using remove and AI! Freaked me out when it came back and replaced the man with a sinister looking man looking straight at the camera!
The various photo processing apps seem to be desperate to bring out new features, but are running out of ideas. Meanwhile the free or cheaper alternatives to Lightroom are catching up, or have already caught up with Adobe. Making the Adobe monthly rental charge seem even less attractive.

Anthony I really appreciate your videos. You're easy to understand, not a lot of Blah Blah, straight to the point. Makes a difference in great video
No need for the apology. You're insights are always worth waiting for. Thanks.
So what is the best removal fix if you still see evidence of the removal? Trying to learn more. Thanks
Early or late, yours is always the best!
Thanks for your invite - I always wait for your videos on new updates and always enjoy them :)

Its ok if you are late with the update, I wait for you.

ACR has always led with new features over Lightroom.
How do you get the camera info on the upper left of your photos?
Any idea when LRC will get updated to add the new features in ACR (e.g. Adaptive profile and non-destructive noise reduction with the .acr side file)? That would be a significant upgrade.
I assumed all of the ACR features would be in LRC - was confused for a full day trying to figure out what was wrong.
When you think you know, and realise you don’t know😅. Great video

After upgrading to LR Classis 14, many of the previously available profiles seem to be missing. What happened?

Yes, it seems to be similar
@@notdisclosed7053 thanks for that.

V14 cause
Ha! Adobe is still charging way too much
Gee that is as painful as watching grass grow.
Thanks Adobe now my imac is not compatible with it👎🤬🤬🤬
